I'm giving three stars to a company I never want to do business with again. The stars go to sales rep Nidia Nelson, who was extremely helpful. It's when the installers showed up that things went south. Carpeteria's operation manager gave his installers three days to do a job I thought should take two, maybe less, based on the couple hundred or so floor covering jobs I scheduled when I sold and managed real estate. But I figured that was Carpeteria's problem, not mine. I figured wrong. At around 8:30 PM the first day of the installation I get an email from my neighbor, who shares a common wall, complaining that the installers are still there and that she needs them gone by 11:00 PM. I'm staying off-site, which means that I have to drive a half hour at night to see if the installers are still in my house. They are. I tell them my neighbor is complaining and that they have to leave. The foreman tells me that Carpeteria gave them only one day to do the job, and that they'll have to work all night. I tell him that Carpeteria gave them three days and they have to go. This gets me lots of attitude. When I don't back down, he calls someone--probably not Gary, Carpeteria's operations manager, unless Gary takes calls at 10:00 at night and he's fluent in Spanish--who gives him the okay to pull off the job. We agree that they can come back the next day to rehang the doors. They leave reluctantly and noisily. One of them walks past me with an armful of his tools and one of my power strips. I point out that the power strip is mine, not his, and he puts it down. They finally pull away at 10:30 PM. A few days later I move back in and find a two-inch crack in one of my shoji screens and a three-inch crack in the facing screen--apparently someone played bumper cars with them. Maybe the guy who rehung them? I complain to Carpeteria. Gary suggests that he meet me at the house with the installers "so they can see the screens". Then what? The installers say "no, boss, the screens were like that when we got here", and we all hold hands and sing Kumbaya? As to why the installers were hellbent on finishing in one day a job they'd been given three days (and a Carpeteria van) to do, I'll leave that to your imagination.

In April I installed carpet at a rental home I own in Mountain View. Nidia was great. It is difficult to coordinate everything and especially when a third party is involved. Nidia made this transaction seamless. The carpet pricing, the team that moved furniture and installed the carpet were great. If you are in need of flooring please go see Nidia.

Phenomenal customer service at this store. Nidia is very knowledgeable, pleasant, enthusiastic and very responsive, providing prompt and detailed replies to all my emails. She is very organized and even keeps a printed record of all our emails! She selected the best flooring match for my kitchen cabinetry and is a pleasure to deal with all around.

Jayson G.'s team did a great job putting in laminate flooring for the 2nd floor of our townhouse - master bedroom, 2 smaller bedrooms, hallway, 4 closets - approx. 600 square feet total. It was amazing, the 2-man crew completely removed the old flooring and put in the new flooring plus baseboards / trim plus door thresholds in 6 hours. It looks great. They were punctual, responsive. and well-organized. The price was quite reasonable. We're definitely asking them to come back and do the living room and inside stairs as soon as they can.

Jayson Goodrich helped us out and I cannot say enough good things about him and his team. We were on a super short timeline to coordinate with our painters and movers and Jayson worked with everyone to make sure we got what we needed. The install was ahead of schedule and they did an awesome job. Look forward to working with Jayson and his team to update our wood floors also.

We recently remodeled our home and needed carpet for our master closet - Jay Goodrich found us a perfect remnant and we had it installed by his team. The price was so reasonable and Jay's help and follow through was perfect. We will go back next time we need flooring of any kind.

My wife and I walked into the Los Altos store as our first stop looking into re-carpeting the upstairs of our house and were fortunate enough to meet Jay Goodrich. What a gem! Jay gave us plenty of room to browse and talk over our preferences, then answered questions and made suggestions based on what we wanted, that lead us to what turned out to be a great choice of carpet style, color and price. He really went out of his way to find us the best deal that met our needs. He promised a seamless (excuse the pun) installation process and it was. The crew was amazingly efficient, removing the old carpet and installing the new carpet with minimal disruption. It looks great. Even now, several months later, when I go upstairs I think, "Wow, why didn't we do this sooner?"

We have four rooms and a stairway recarpeted. We received excellent service and gave us the best price out of five carpet stores. Vick was the sales rep and really cared about making sure the job was done to our full satisfaction. The installers from Carpeteria were quite good at moving the furniture around without damaging anything and did an excellent job with the carpet installation, especially our stairs which were kind of complex.
