Never had a problem during Bank of the West days, but ever since the transition to BMO it's just been issue after issue. The on-location staff are great, especially Rowena, but any time corporate/headquarters are involved the issues just take time to resolve and my overall experience has been poor. If it was still Bank of the West it would be recommendable as a banking partner, but since the merger this no longer holds true.

Bank of the West was a dream!!! BMO is a nightmare!!! Just trying to 'view' my mortgage online. NOBODY at this bank knows what they are doing. I'm going to move all of my money and loans elsewhere. HORRIBLE customer service. Horrible employee training!! Horrible Technology!!! DON"T USE THIS BANK!!!

I banked with Bank of the West for five years and was always very pleased with the customer service support that I received at the different branch locations plus the variety of checking and savings accounts that they offer as well. Definitely recommend this bank!

Was in today and yesterday; hottest days of the year and NO AC!!How hideous is this! Very hot in there. I feel sorry for the clients, but more for the people that work in there!You're a business, get it fixed.

Bank of West in Los Altos staff and Manager Anil have been nothing but kind, helpful and professional. I had to deal with a lot of stuff with many institutions after my mom's passing. Bank of West was a bright spot, along with Star One and Fidelity. the worst FYI was Dodge and Cox.

I have been a Bank of the West customer for many years. It was important to have a local community bank. I love this branch specifically. Amal the manager and her staff staff (which includes Capernia). I can't say enough good things about them. They have been so helpful and solution oriented. I've gone to them several times for help in straitening some matters out and every time they have resolved them to the utmost satisfaction. If you are looking for a small bank with personalized service the Los Altos branch of Bank of the West is the best.

I needed to open an account and I was in a hurry. They did everything to accommodate me. Very kind and professional people. I referred my friend who wanted to open an account there.

The Burlingame branch is sooo friendly and professional ! You will never wait long to be helped . Was told that , as long as you inform the bank that your account Has been compromised within 30 days , You will be reimbursed ! Sweet !

I looked up Bank of the West recently for reviews, I found that 92% of responders give B of the W 1 star. The manager of this branch fits right in to that picture. She is a dark angry deeply disturbed person. I was under pressure with one brother who 2 weeks before commited suicide. Another younger brother just recieved a diagnosis of an aggressive always lethal brain cancer. I dropped in to open a second account (been there 30 yrs). This woman thought she should force feed me a lecture about grieving for loved ones. Force feed. Not smart. I requested that we just attend to the banking. Wow was she angry. She fabricated some story about nefarious dealings on my part and entered them into B of the W records about me. I protested, B of the W never returned my call as promised 3 times. Managers have the power to cancel accounts, she did that adding to the stress and work already on my plate at a time of heartbreak and massive stress of one recently dead and another dying brother I was caring for.
