Horrible too many kids all at once. Its too loud in there for any child to get focused attention. There's several other classed with other kids of all ages screaming and swimming. Which would be fun if it was a community pool and not a class. They love to charge in advance for the next month even when it's not confirmed and make you argue with them to refund thloat money since it's not in their policy to give that money back. They have a practice of charging on the first regardless if you agreed to or intended to go to the lessons. You sign a contract that they'll charge on the 1st every month, which means if you can't afford a month. They'll charge anyways AND throw in a $55 reenrollment fee when you can afford it again. Which is especially a huge issue not only in this ecomy but they're overpriced for the service they offer. As I said, very little individualized teaching and then they do manage that, there's kids screaming and yelling all over so you and your child can't hear what's going on anyways. Take your child elsewhere.

We are not from the area but make the drive to Watersafe because of the amazing program. My son really likes his teacher Jessica P - she is very patient and knowledgeable. My son has made great improvements in his swimming ability in a short amount of time. I've heard parents complain of swim schools in our area that their kids have not improved at all after years of taking classes. I doubt anyone has had that kind of experience at Watersafe. They even have lessons for older kids in competitions. It's also very easy to communicate with the office since we can text and they are quick to respond. Highly recommend!

We love watersafe swim. We started fastrack with Ginny right after my daughter turned 1, and I am here to tell you it is so worth it! She really has a way with kids. She also introduces the kids to other instructors throughout the month, which makes it nice for choosing a specific teacher once fastrack ends. Emily is her main teacher now, and she is amazing. They also have a cool 'all you can swim' program during the months that aren't so busy. My daughter is 20 months old and just completed grade 4. Highly recommend!

Today was our first day at the Los Al location. The front staff was very friendly and helpful, showed us around the facility. During our parent-tot class we had Megan do an amazing lesson. She was very encouraging and instructed us on how best to position the baby in the water. Having taught swim lessons and coached for over 25 years, I can say Megan is an amazing teacher and knows her stuff. We look forward to our next class with her.

Let me first say that Coach Jessica is incredible because she offers sincere and professionally based feedback to both swimmers and the parents. She cares about each swimmer and it shows. Although it seemed that Watersafe would ask Coach Jessica to couch from the pool deck she on occasion would get into the pool and show her swimmers the correct form as needed. This I felt was much more effective than when having to explain the corrections from outside the pool. Watersafe cares about what the swimmers need and what the parents would like, however it's in this person's opinion that they also allow aggressive parents to place there swimmers in levels that they are visibly are not qualified for. This I've seen and to be honest holds others in the level back.My wife and I felt that our 9 year old daughter needed a bit more than what Watersafe allowed. For example, Watersafe has multiple swim meets each year which enables swimmers to get a real idea on both competitive swimming and sportsmanship. Unfortunately Watersafe doesn't feel that swimmers should follow swim competition rules and in their Meets they refrain from disqualifying swimmers which we felt created bad habits for our child who has a desire to swim competitively. We felt at this point it was time to move on from Watersafe to achieve a more realistic and competitive philosophy. So of you're looking for a swim school where your swimmer can learn the basics Watersafe is a great start.

I went to different places, for swimming lessons for my daughter. this place is the worst of all the places i have been to. there are 2 swimming pools (one inside and one outside). every day, it's filled with children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. it is very noisy and it is very difficult with the noise that the children make, to understand what the teacher is saying during the lesson. I find it unacceptable that in a small swimming pool, there are 6 courses or more with about fifteen children of all ages. I have never seen this elsewhere. how can a child learn to swim, with so much noise and children crossing paths while swimming. I find the price extremely expensive, for the lack of seriousness, in this swimming school. if you want to waste your time and money, you have found the right place for it.

Love this place, we have been to many swimming lessons at different places, public and private. This place gives you the fastest results, focused attention on your child and what your child needs. It's not too long where the child gets bored or fatigued. At first 15 minutes doesn't sound long but when you consider group classes are 30 minutes, with a ratio of 1 teacher to all students, the instructor can maximally spend a little over 7 minutes with each child. At Watersafe each child gets 15 minutes with your child and isn't forced to be stationed next to another child.

We took our granddaughter here for her lesson - she usually goes to the smallish Seal Beach location. Good size parking lot. Spacious, noisy and high activity pool area: open, airy and well-lit, with ample comfy poolside seats, and convenient showers and infant changing tables. Lots of infants & toddlers in sessions, with watchful parents/ grandparents looking on. How fortunate are the kids who get to learn a useful, healthy, life saving,,and enjoyable skills so early in life, with trained and structured guidance. Our granddaughter had an instructive lesson,

DISAPPOINTED in this swim school . I used to love it for the first 18 months , having Ms Rebecca as an instructor ! She was amazing & taught my daughter everything she knows . You can tell how excited she would get when she would unlock a new technique . But Ms . Rebecca sadly moved to Friday lessons . We got a new instructor & i saw her ONCE , after that I had a new instructor every week , so the lessons were not consistent! This went on from MARCH - MAY ! There was days we would show up to swim & no instructor was available for our weekly lessons ! The price is outrageous for the instructors to not show up! They are understaff . Of course they will not tell you they don't have an instructor available, because they want your money . If Ms Rebecca was still our instructor we would give this place all 5 stars but sadly everyone else wasn't as professional as she was .

We love miss Emily E!!!!!!! My daughter has been going here since she was 4.5 months old - we used to do the parent and me classes which were so much fun and now she's in private lessons. She hit a wall for sure at one point a few months ago. Miss Emily was so patient with her and really catered to her and making the water FUN! She's worked with her so well and my daughter just loves coming here! In Southern California swimming is an essential skill (in my opinion) - with so many pools at people's houses and the ocean right next door I can't stress enough how important it is for your kid to learn how to swim - and you too! I'd recommend this place to anyone!
