The Youth Center is not just a place; it's a force for good, shaping the lives of our kids and, in turn, the future of our entire community. It's a place where dreams take flight, where potential is unlocked, and where youth become the best versions of themselves. In a world that sometimes forgets to nurture its future, The Youth Center stands as a beacon of hope, promising that the dreams of today's youth can become the realities of tomorrow. So, whether you live in Los Alamitos, Rossmoor, Seal Beach, or any other nearby community, you owe it to your kids to check out the after school and summer camps and programs. They are amazing. Here’s to a brighter future, one young mind at a time. Thanks to The Youth Center.

The Youth Center in Los Alamitos is bar none the best program for children of all ages. During the school year it offers after school activities as well as tutoring. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. During the summer they offer an amazing summer program filled with activities that range from sports, arts, to phenomenal field trips. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to provide their child with extraordinary experiences.

The Youth Center is the best and exceeds all expectations of an organization. It is a valuable asset to the community and the staff is so dear and caring of one another. They really give their all to the kiddos and organization and I am so proud to be a Board Member.

This was my first time enrolling my daughter for the first time to Camp shark. I paid for some add on classes and field trips and she was totally missed from attending all those classes. I complained to the staff and they took take of refunding those missed classes. Will see enrolling my daughter again later

I absolutely love the youth center. They are such a great resource in the community. Their staff is really great with kids of all ages. They always have tons of activities and trips and just availability for parents. My daughter has gone to their summer camp as well as day camps that are available for days when school is closed. I can’t thank them enough. She loves it!

I started working for The Youth Center as a staff for the RASCALS After School Program back in February 2020. In just the past year, I've noticed how much the organization values and provides for the kids and families in the community. I've also created bonds with the staff, volunteers, and kids that I value so much. It's such a rewarding experience when kids run up to me just to say hi, tell me about their day, or talk about a hobby that we both enjoy. I've also worked at Camp S.H.A.R.K. for 2 years now and it's such a fun environment to work in. All the staff, volunteers, and kids have a good time playing different sports and activities together! I highly recommend this organization as it provides a safe environment for kids to be able to grow, be themselves, and make new friends!

The Youth Center is a phenomenal organization that serves the youth in our community. The staff are beyond friendly, the facility is clean, the programs are the best in Orange County, and the kids are always smiling when I see them pass through. I can't think of a better youth program in Southern California that is truly dedicated to serving our children. Kudos, Youth Center, on your outstanding work!

We moved out of state only reason my son stop attending here, but my son was able to come throughout the pandemic and was being homeschooled it was great place to make friends and have fun. They have a couple youth volunteer here and my son always loved hanging out with them. If you are homeschooling or maybe just want an after school program this is great program. I think its great for kids who aren't into anything in particular but still want them apart of something this is a great place.

I've been a part of the Youth Center board of directors for the last 3 + years. During this time, I have watched the Executive Director, board and staff work tirelessly day after day, week after week, and month after month to better the lives of our local youth. The Youth Center has far exceeded my expectations of just how much of a positive impact one great nonprofit can make in the community they serve.

During this time, I have watched the Executive Director, board and staff work tirelessly day after day, week after week, and month after month to better the lives of our local youth. This is the first time I've had an opportunity to serve as a board member for a nonprofit and the Youth Center has far exceeded both my expectations for the role of a board member, and my understanding of the positive impact one great nonprofit can truly make in the community they serve.

I work for an organization that assists with connecting youth to services such as mental health, housing instability, etc. Upon arrival we were confronted by a white woman with glasses, and bleach blonde hair. She was very rude right off the bat and short. Staff here, in particular this person needs training on cultural competency and racial bias. Clearly this organization does not care about servicing our communities as they say they do. If that was the case she would have at the LEAST pointed us into the direction of another organization that could benefit from our services. Remember the work that we do is not about us. It's about giving our youth the tools they need to succeed. You barring people ESPECIALLY people of color from connecting to youth programs isn't servicing anybody. I would suggest a career change if this is the kind of energy you bring to work every day and bombard other people with. Especially those whom are trying to help.
