I been coming to this gym for a little over a year, I was new to CrossFit not knowing a lot of the lifts and other moves, nor was I strong enough to do them. Fast forward to now, I have lost 35 pounds gain muscle and am able to do things I didn’t think was possible. So, I know Nikki’s program definitely works. Aside from that, the community here is so encouraging and welcoming, it gets addicting. Nikki and her coaches have so much energy and are passionate. Is a family oriented gym everyone knows everyone. One of the best life changing decision I have made.

Had an excellent drop-in workout with Nikki! The whole class was very welcoming and, as a Crossfitter, I really enjoyed their in-house programming!

I went to my first CrossFit class ran by Nikki 6-7pm on a Wednesday and I liked it! I had my guide there guiding me throughout the entire workout, that was dope and she was very thoughtful! I don't wanna drop the name of the organization that hooked me up with this CrossFit place because everyone might just start showing up! JP! It's called "the phoenix app" it's a recovery sober app and organization that hosts free events all week and weekend you can attend and it's free! Overall, we started and got right into the workouts! The last and hardest workout to do was the walk jog and run 4x back to back 1 min each time! That was tough on me. But overall very friendly people and nice setting!

It was such a pleasure to visit this box during my short stay in town. Nikki is a wonderful coach, fun, energetic, and very kind. Members of the gym were also very welcoming. I was very impressed with the programming, from warm up to the WOD, it was challenging and rewarding. Thank you for having me Nikki. I will be back next time I am in town.

Noticing a previous 1 star comment regarding safety concerns and racial remarks; I felt the need to comment myself. I used to be a regular at CrossFit Recoil for a number of years, and I can honestly say because of this, I was in the best shape of my life. But even better than that, I was able to develop lifelong friendships with many of the people that also attended. I no longer regularly go to Recoil any longer, but that's not due to anything the gym has done. Life and work with new demanding schedules, got busier and busier; and I'm not able to show up anymore than a pop in every few months or so. I do miss it. In regards to the previously mentioned safety concerns and racial comments....I've never had any issues with safety while at the gym. I've never seen any major issues with children or kids running under people while their lifting. If this individual had such great concerns over these alleged safety mishaps; why didn't he bring them to the attention of the owner/coach? Why did he continue to go? Hmmm. The fact that the coaches have children and bring them to the gym, is actually an endearing quality and brightens the days for most. A safety issue it is not. I've also known the coaches, who have been mainstays at this gym for years, for quite some time. I've NEVER heard anyone (or anyone else in the gym) utter anything like this previous poster had claimed. After reading it, it sounded more like a bitter individual with an axe to grind. More to the point...it sounds like straight up lies. All I can say, is that if choosing a gym, don't go based on what one unhappy person (who used to get high in the parking lot prior to workouts btw....sounds safe) posted. Show up and you'll see for yourself. There's a reason why the gym is growing and lots of the athletes have worked out there for years. The coaches are great, fun loving, good hearted, knowledgeable people. And the community aspect while at the gym is second to none. So swing by if you're thinking about switching gyms or trying CrossFit for the first time. You will not be disappointed.

I am going to get straight to the point with my review of this Crossfit gym. On a Summer open gym session I was training alone with one of the trainers. There was nobody else there just me and that trainer. I tried to talk about sports with the trainer and he replied he doesn't watch sports anymore and I asked why and he expressed his opinion on how he didn't like athletes taking a knee during the national anthem. I can understand if he's against that and he's entitled to his opinion but the part that was extremely offensive was when followed it up by saying, "F BLM!" There was an awkward silence between me and him and I didn't exchange anymore words with him. I finished my workout and went home. I still continued to go to the gym and hoped that maybe he would apologize for his immature statement but he never did. My relationship with the gym started to become awkward and after attending this gym as a member for 3 years I decided to end my membership and move on to a different gym. My complaint also goes beyond the trainer's racist remark and I have to inform that there's a safety issue with the gym as well. The owner after having children now finds it acceptable to leave a play place in the middle of the gym floor with the toddler inside of it and sometimes have her toddler running around while other members are lifting very heavy weights. This is a huge safety concern for her children and the members around as well and I feel that she's been a very irresponsible parent because of that. I see that this gym has a lot of positive reviews but they're not organic and those reviews come from her inner circle of friends which I recognize. I myself was just a member and have zero connections with anybody in the gym. If it wasn't for the racist rant the trainer went off on I would probably rate this gym 2 stars and the only positive about this gyms is the price is very cheap compared to other gyms but that's the type of culture and service you're going to receive at this gym. Cheap pricing, cheap safety, cheap service, and cheap morals. It will be interesting to see if that trainer is afforded special privileges for his remarks or if the owner will take ownership and responsibility for what the trainer said about BLM. I am not black but I am latino and I know BLM also stands for my group and other diverse cultures as well. I have moved on from this gym and I am not available for comment. This is my review and that's it.

Before coming to this gym I was a lazy overweight binge drinker , just getting by to make it to the weekend. I can honestly say crossfit Recoil has been a life changer for me. I told myself I would just try it for the week and almost 3 years later I am in the best shape of my life. I am physically, mentally and spiritually a better stronger person. With that being said crossfit recoil is unlike any other gym I ever been to. They have multiple certified perfesional trainers to help you safely, correctly and effectively perform every workout movement. All workouts are varied and fit for all levels of experience. Workouts consist of hit training, strength conditioning, Olympic lifts, gymnastics, mobility and more. If your just looking to loose a little extra pounds, or to stay healthy or even get shredded, then this is the place to be. Nikki is the owner of the gym and welcomes everyone with open arms. Everyone at the gym are very nice and we all uplift and push each other to accomplish and achieve our goals. So come on in and check it out and be part of our team/CrossFit family ?

I've been going to CrossFit Recoil for about a year and a half now and have loved every minute of it. The coaching staff is awesome, great teachers, very patient with new folks, and always energetic. Every member is very welcoming and fun to work out with and the attitude in the gym is very positive, definitely not your typical CF gym. It's also a great family atmosphere! My kids and wife also attend and have also had an amazing experience. I highly recommend trying CrossFit Recoil out...you'll be glad you did.

Even though I am new to Crossfit, I know this is an amazing Crossfit facility. I have been working out here every day for the last few weeks, and now I am hooked! The main reason this Crossfit box is so great is the 100% positive atmosphere. The owner, Nikki, makes working out fun.She and her coaches are supportive to newbies like me, but they aren't soft on us. They encourage everyone and urge them to push harder than they thought they could. Crossfit Recoil has a wide range of people working out here, from hardcore Crossfitters to middle aged athletes like me, but everyone is awesome and so many of them have helped me when I am trying to learn a new skill. They are also family friendly as there are a number of teenagers who work out here as well. If you are looking for something new and exciting, come talk to Nikki at Crossfit Recoil!
