So, I have been a wine club member for years. Since they hired Josh to serve wine to loyal customers, wine club members and new customers, the service has been more than disappointing. Sunday was the 2ND time Josh argued with me, in front of customers, about picking up my wine distribution. He said I already picked it up but he gave my wine to another member. The first time he did it he acknowledged his mistake and I got my wine. When I went with my friend to pick up my 3rd qtr distribution Josh again said he already gave it to me. He said I picked it up on Oct 14th...which was impossible because I was in MI. He told me 2 more times I was wrong and refused to give me my $49 wine distribution. He is not only rude but obnoxious. I said I could prove I just got to town on Nov 1st and I could show where I was on the 14th...in MI. My friend even told him I was not in town and he didn't care. Obviously he was worried about his mistake, AGAIN. Then he said I drink too much and told me to leave. I did swear which was inappropriate but the service was disgusting. I was so embarrassed and disgusted with his service I quit my membership. I have expressed my concerns with the owners before and they still keep this arrogant guy on their payroll. It is very unfortunate that one person can ruin a good thing. The following note was a previous review when it was fun and comfortable at SR:Had the BEST time today with Vicky and family as they made our day a fantastic experience since lifting some of the social restraints. Food was great, wine wonderful as ever and company top notch!!!! Thank you for making our day ?

Not a good experience. Our server Josh tried to be funny, but we could tell he was a bit uncomfortable in that role and was trying too hard to be funny. He ended up being pretty obnoxious, which took away from the tasting experience. Josh isn't a bad guy. He just needs to learn how to interact better with people who visit wineries. The wine was just OK. Nothing special. They charged $12 bucks per tasting, which isn't completely out of the question even in that area. However, you had to buy two bottles of their wine (which is fairly expensive for Loomis) to waive just one tasting fee. That was very off putting. That is a bit ridiculous considering where they are located and the quality of their wine. They must think they are in Napa or Sonoma. They need to come back to Earth a little and consider lowering their prices and waiving one tasting fee for each bottle purchased. Hey Secret Ravine, you are just not good enough to be charging Napa prices. You are in Loomis for goodness sake! Sorry, but I think you need a reality check.

Unfortunately, this is the first negative review I have ever written. Our party of 8 showed up with reservations. It was a bachelorette party and this was our first stop. No one was drunk, loud or rude but within moments of entering the property, we were told to "move along to our next stop". We explained that we had reservations but the very rude elderly woman told us "I didn't know it was going to be "this"". We were shocked! If you do not like large groups, put it on the website! Honestly, her loss because every other winery we went to that's day greeted us with open arms and were amazing!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

NOPE, ABSOLUTLEY NOT. 0/10, would NOT recommend this place. Our bachelorette group of 8 WITH reservations was very rudely turned away just seconds after stepping out of our bus (this was our first stop of the day and we were completely sober). As we approached the winery all dressed in vintage wedding gowns, a crotchety old lady quickly greeted us saying "we can't serve YOU!" After explaining we had reservations, she proceeded to exclaim, "well, I didn't know it was going to be THIS." Long story short, if you enjoy drinking wine with a stick up your arse, this is the place for you.

Okay so this "secret" is worth telling ! Sweetest owners and staff with great knowledge of wines. I had a great time with servers Josh and Jen and even got the pleasure of meeting the owners. The wines are delicious and the outdoor seating is the best. No food on site so bring some snacks and sit outside for an awesome picnic style day. You can also sit inside at the adorable bar but don't bring food in. I absolutely love the "Gold Fever " white but everything on the tasting list is amazing. We will be returning. Thank you secret ravine for an awesome experience ?

I NEVER thought i would join a wine club but after a tasting i loved everything, even the whites which i normally dont drink a whole lot of. They tasting room is cozy and they have a large outdoor space. I also can bring 2 guests for free tastings since i am apart of the club now. Id highly recommend trying them out! Great staff ❤

I have been a wine club member for years. They followed COVID19 closing policies and managed to still get our quarterly wine distributions on time. A few of their wines medal winners. This family owned business is trustworthy and puts out excellent wines. Please visit the winery. You won't be disappointed.Karen P.Roseville, CA

So happy we found this place. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I love how this winery does not add sugars during the fermentation process like most. The wine was very good. It's a popular little spot but it was meant to be with 3 seats left at the bar. Thanks for the good time, highly recommend.

Secret Ravine Winery is a must visit! They are family owned and operated and craft quality wines from locally-grown grapes in the Placer County region. They are located minutes off I-80 in Loomis The atmosphere is very relaxing and they have a variety of seating outside as well as a tasting room bar and some indoor seating. They also have vines on site right next to the outdoor seating and picnic tables. The allow you to bring a picnic to enjoy while tasting their wines. Each wine tasting includes six tastings that range from white to reds for $12 per tasting. Many of their wines have won awards. Some of my favorite wines of theirs include their grenache rose, rattlesnake red blend and petite sirah. With their wine club you get complimentary tastings for members and 2 guests and discounts on wine purchases. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming and helps enhance the overall experience.

Can't recommend the unfriendly owners or the mediocre wine. Pass this one up as it doesn't have a good location either. Law enforcement nearby to pull you over.
