We were just there shopping for veggies. Had a cart with plants but could not find any workers or where to check out. Finally left the cart and then left the nursery.

I'd say it's a nice place to go to for a small morning/afternoon outing. It has more of a botanical garden vibe compared to other nurseries; a little bit of everything that's scattered and not strictly placed in long rows. Might not find a specific plant that you're looking for but still high chances of impulse buying something! Kinda wished the houseplant section in particular was more extensive seeing that it's located in such a spacious building. Still, neat to see a couple of uncommon plant varieties. Very fairly priced plants in general btw (decently sized monstera Thai constellations that are less than $40, hello???). There's also a robust, meal-service cafe here (High Hand Cafe; it has its own Yelp listing if you want more info about it). No trouble finding parking in the lot on a weekday but I can see folks having to resort parking on the street especially during peak cafe times like Sunday brunch.

High-Hand Nursery is like a hidden oasis, though the weather didn't play nice on my visit. I'd love to go back when it's sunnier out and pick from the vast amount of potted plants and herbs they have to use for my little garden. The expansive location surprised me, with a delightful koi pond and charming boutiques. The cafe served tasty food, but the hour-long wait left me contemplating whether patience is a virtue I possess. Next time, I'll explore if reservations are on the menu. Rain or shine, it's a vibrant spot worth a visit.

We love the super popular cafe at High Hand. Great food, especially the pizza. Dining on the patio with the pups is terrific fun, though could do without all the pesky heaters everywhere. If you're planning to eat here, come weekdays at quiet times, otherwise try for a reservation, or prepare to wait a long time.High Hand seems short staffed. This puts a lot of pressure on the people who work there. As a nursery, have to say there are much better ones in the vicinity, with healthier plants at better prices. We come to High Hand for lunch, not for the plants.

Visited for lunch and it was delicious. Service was great even though it was pretty crowded for a weekday and we were a party of 10. Wandering around afterwards was the best part though.

This is my first time visiting High Hand Nursery and Cafe, and it's a great place to get away from the city. Their nursery is amazing and pet friendly! They have an array of outdoor plants , flowers, succulents, and indoor plants to choose from. It's like walking into a mini park/oasis. I can't wait to go back once Spring has sprung because the landscape will definitely be transformed into an oasis once all the flowers and trees have bloomed. The nursery has a waterfall that leads into a Koi Pond. There's a lot of seating outdoors and so much more to see. The property also has a nursery supply store, there's a gallery with amazing designs by local artists, a boutique store, a store that sells handcrafted olive oils and balsamic vinegars-amazing products. I bought four different olive oils and balsamic vinegars. The staff at the nursery, cafe, and the other merchants were very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Kudos to all the personnel at High Hand Nursery and Cafe. Please make the trip to Loomis CA and check this place out and let me know what you think. Enjoy and Happy eats! Oh, the food was delicious !!!

My new favorite nursery! They have everything from a cute Café, ample parking, and a wide variety of indoor and outdoor plants. They also have a section for olive oils and vinaigrettes - highly recommend the Citrus habanero EVOO if you like spicy flavors! Thanks to Deena for helping us, we went home with some new flavors and some gorgeous Pansies at a great price.

The food as always was terrific and there were 12 of us ladies and everyone loved what they had but what made out lunch super super was the server, Sara S. She was fantastic and we left her a bigger tip because she was so great. Certainly an asset as an employee. 5 stars for her too.

Love this place, we come here for lunch, dessert, shopping for plants at least once a week, have been coming since we moved here 7 months ago. However, yesterday, a slow day at the nursery and cafe, spoiled this place for me. We picked out a few plants and went to pay for them inside as the outside station was closed. No one around to help us. I did see an employee near talking to someone but I couldn't be sure, of course, whether he actually was assigned to the register. However, he paid no attention to us and kept talking to a woman. We looked around, tried to find someone and finally gave up. Left the plants on the counter. Very disappointed, might not come back for a while, if ever.

Maybe I was there on a bad day for the staff, but my experience was nothing like the reviews posted here. Wait staff that was undermanned and indifferent at best to us. In the Garden area could they perhaps get a few smaller carts instead of either a massive trolley or nothing. The folks in the garden weren’t much help either. One put back the plants I was going to buy after I asked if I could keep them for 15 minutes in the register area while we looked around a bit more. He said sure. When we came back, the plants were gone and when the employee saw me, he turned around and disappeared. First visit ever and probably my last.

I was the husband following my wife and her best friend as we went "shopping" at a nursery. Our friend said there was a restaurant there that we might consider. After shopping, which even interested me, we tried it. IT WAS GREAT! Our server was Addie who gave us several options (good ones) and recommended the porter (which they brew) when I inquired about their dark brews. Next Erin (the manager) appeared at my elbow informing me that the porter was not available (very popular). She recommend the stout as a dark beer which she liked too. She brought a can for my approval. It was good! Dinner was ordered and then served. I do not know if this was their regular menu or whether they change it depending upon the season but it was EXTREMELY good. Their boutique pizzas were spot on. The selection was limited but very intriguing combinations. We were able to order two which said "try ME" and one that was on all pizza places menu. They arrived and were beautiful (strange words for pizza). Of course I had to try the two unusual ones first. Gosh they were good. I hate hard crusts edges but I even ate my wife's because the crust was perfect. Overall the atmosphere was very festive with lighted trees and great spacing of the tables without eating with your neighbor. High Hand did a great job and the next trip between Seattle and Huntington Beach will include another stop there.

This is a lovely oasis if you're traveling on highway 80 and need a break. The nursery is more like a botanical garden and the cafe serves delicious fresh foods that you can enjoy while surrounded by the beautiful plants!
