“I needed a notary so I called JC Bookkeeping. I didn't need an appointment and was able to get in right away. Their fee was lower than everyone I called and they actually answered the phone. I know you can get notary done free at banks but you need an appointment and it's hard to get someone on the phone. Also, all the bank notaries I was able to contact said they don't notarize escrow documents so they were useless. The employees at JC Bookkeeping were friendly and professional and I would recommend them.”

“Five Star is very knowledgeable and helpful. They caught a serious mistake my previous tax people made that had resulted in penalties and called the franchise tax board on my behalf, to sort out the mess. They got my taxes done quickly and charged me considerably less than they could have. I very much appreciate that they have a business office I can walk into, and ask questions directly. Too many businesses, these days have retreated to Exclusively online or over the phone practices. I have had other tax preparation businesses dodge my calls, which is more infuriating when there is no brick and mortar access point to walk into and speak to someone. Five Star always returned my calls, and answered my questions in a timely manner. I highly recommend them.”

“Highly recommend I have been going here since seems like forever! Around 12 years now! Ever since they were in there Lincoln location. Even after moving to Bay Area I still continue to use them as they are the best. Before then I had tried HR BLOCK but was always pricey and not very friendly. The team here does a great job! They are a Father and Daughter and make you feel like part of their own family. They are both bilingual and very detailed in telling you line by line what everything means most people don't take the time to explain they just want you in and out. If you are in the Roseville/Rocklin Area highly recommend!”

“I would like to take this opportunity to highly recommend Teri Defuentes and her tax resolution skills at Western Sierra Business Services. I was not given a 1099 for the sale of my home in Auburn, CA, but one was sent to the IRS. Two years later I started to get letters from the IRS (and despite all of our tax dollars, NEVER answer their phones!) telling me I owed taxes on the sale of that home. I foolishly ignored them because I was never given the 1099. I'm retired on Social Security and don't make enough to pay taxes. I turned to Teri for help when I received a tax bill in the amount of $456,000.00 which was almost as much as I sold the house for. Teri had to go back to get the original paperwork for the purchase & sale of that home and the purchase of my new house. It took Teri two months, but she got it resolved and I have a letter from the IRS stating that I owed no taxes. Teri Defuentes is my hero & a Rock Star. She worked diligently to help me and she would do the same for any other client.”
