Brad is extremely talented, trustworthy, honest and an all-around great guy to work with. I highly recommend American Iron for all of your classic car, hot rod & muscle car needs. Just a note; all good shops are busy these days and supply/demand have been a factor in our world. A little patience goes a long way. Excellence takes time and rest assured, Brad will take care of you to the best of his abilities!Service: General repairs & maintenance

After taking our classic cars to other hot rod shops we ended up taking them here to fix what the other shops screwed up. I highly recommend them and won't use anyone else now.

The guys at this shop know their s****** They are straight forward honest people who don't try to make extra money for things you don't need. I can honestly say this being as I work on and customize cars myself. I needed an extra set of eyes to look at and work on an issue with my 600+ hp Mustang being as I got as far as I was able to with my skill set. If you have a high performance car that you want upgraded and fixed right the first time then don't hesitate to try them out.

Brad Dixon is the owner and he's a complete arrogant phony. He will lie right to your face and has no regard for anyone but himself. He will make excuse after excuse and lie through his teeth. I NEVER write yelp reviews, but this guy is worthy of zero stars. In fact, I'm going to report him to the BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair). I'm embarrassed to admit that I took my 65' Chevelle here for a new transmission 700R). I bought a brand new tranny through Brad and paid him to install it. He said any work he did would be 100% warrantied by his shop, as long as, I bought it through him and he performed the labor. The transmission has leaked since day 1 of him installing it. I took the car back to Brad nearly a dozen times. I spent $100's in Uber rides, time off work and the list goes on, and on, and on!! Brad still can't figure out why the transmission leaks. He now wants to charge me AGAIN for the labor of the transmission and refuses to take responsibility. Brad now tells me it's $1000 to pull the tranny and ship it back to manufacture. And it will be $1000 to reinstall. The warranty that Brad promised was a complete lie. I should also mention it took him 4 months to swap my tranny out and he had more excuses than a drug addict as to why it was taking so long. This guy is such a scammer it's unbelievable. Stay far far away from this place. Any reputable shop would of taken care of this. He's a shady guy that deserves a serious wake up call. I can't believe he's still in business.

Horrible experience. Not surprised the owner is an absolute douchbag. Take your business elsewhere, it's atrocious this place hasn't been shut down but hopefully soon.

This shop sold me a vehicle through ebay and refused to send me a title. After calling the DMV in CA I found out the car had been junked. I have a worthless car which is even more worthless because I can't get a title. Every time I called the shop, at least a dozen times, Brad had just stepped out for lunch. I was told on several occasions he would call me back but he never did.

I've had nothing but great experiences at American Iron. They are extremely knowledgeable in custom automotive builds. They have given me great advice and tips on my mom's $150k 68 Camaro build. I have seen them complete multiple works of art. I would recommend this shop to anyone that needs above average automotive expertise.

Im writing a review on the great service i recievied at american iron.I took them my 1965 chevelle with a ls1 in it .I had the cats removed and put long tube headers on it with a tune from Mark Roman .All i can say is wow.The fastest time i ran before the headers and a tune was 13.54 @ 100mph.After all of this the car ran a 12.94 at 105 mph.It hooked up so hard i had rotated the rear drivers tire on the rim,i may have to screw the tires to the rim. These guys know what they are doing .I would rate them with a 5 star rating as Brad dixons team and the tuner Mark roman have woken my ls1 up.Great job you guys .Greg Zabik

hello, i am writing this review on behalf of stephanie dixon. Stephanie has an automotive business with her husband brad dixon. they own the business American iron speed speed shop in loomis, ca. She sold me a vehicle in the summer of 2017 to which she knew failed smog. after nearly 8 months of trying to rectify the situation with her and her husband and obtain a smog certificate from them, they have eluded me and lied to me on numerous occasions. I am now stuck in a situation where i am down $10,000.00 and unable to register my vehicle and have to pay out of pocket to replace parts and have a mechanic get the car smog ready. California vehicle code states that the seller is 100% responsible for this. Both Brad and Stephanie are dishonest and unethical people and business owners. They never provided the smog certificate upon sale of the car and never told me the car would fail. Nor did we have this in writing, anywhere. Also, i verified with the DMV that the current registration stickers on that vehicle do not even belong to the car. This means they put fake stickers before selling it to me and never legally registered it with the DMV since 2015 to avoid paying necessary fees. i have also made several attempts to contact her and brad at work, and the employees of American Iron are conniving and knowingly prevent me from getting in contact with them (for whatever reason). I know this because i've attempted to contact them to give them an opportunity to rectify, but they never seem to be available. They are associated with their wrong doings. I am an honest person and am also a victim of two criminals who conspire together and commit fraud. I trusted these people because they were 'business owners'. I hope that this review makes other people aware and deter them from ever doing business with American Iron, and brad & stephanie dixon for that matter. The fact that their work place is preventing any kind of justice to take place and have them do the honest thing goes to show how unethical and dishonest they are as well. I hope this reaches the right people...
