This store is amazing. I bought a few items several years ago and always get compliments on my African print shorts. Today my son needed a shirt so I rushed over after work and found the perfect one. You can’t beat the prices and the service is wonderful.

This is a unique place I love to shop here Mel is the owner is always so pleasant. If you're looking for unique items from different countries this would be the place to shop. All safety protocols are in full effect due to the coronavirus pandemic. I purchase my black seed oil from here every several months it keep my immune system healthy & strong. Will definitely return very soon

So happy I can back. I walk upon this store with friends and saw a jacket that I loved but didn't get it. So I came back and bought another jacket. Best prices and friendly and knowledgeable store owner. I always come to buy my African soap. The only place it's real.

I've been to this shop before, Max wasn't in but we came back to get some tops to wear on Juneteenth! There's a closet of authentic African pieces in the back of her shop, we found something quick and had a good time looking through all the garments. This shop is great for a quick run if you need black soap, oils, clothing... or a longer browsing experience if you're in the mood for art, books and decorative home pieces... there's so much beautiful black history in this store. I love it. Will be an avid visitor

Happy Juneteeth! What a wonderful black owned art boutique. Every item has a story and the owner Max knows them all. Spend some time in the store. There are plenty of unique items so there are many stories to hear. Small gifts, clothing, art, sculpture, incense, Kente cloth, hats, bags and of course masks.

This store is a nice gem in Long Beach CA. African art, artifacts, fabrics and clothing. The owner Max was very knowledgeable about origins of artwork and such. Great customer service...reasonable prices vast selection.

I have been shopping at Village Treasures for years while living in LBC. After we moved, it became difficult. I recently had a luncheon to attend that had an African theme and I thought of Max and VT. I bought a top, matching head wrap/scarf, earrings, and a matching fan. It was fantastic. I received so many compliments! You cannot go wrong with VT for unique, one-of-a-kind "treasures".
