I could not go genuinely 3 minutes without being forced to say that I'm okay, thank you. I was in for around 20min and had seven different people ask how I'm doing. I usually keep my earbuds in to be in my own little world and say thanks if I see someone speaking to me, but twice two different employees forced their way into my vision while I was crouched, testing foundation on a bottom shelf, looking down. Ive worked at Ulta before and totally understand the need to make contact and build that basket, but I just felt uncomfortable at how often I was being interacted with. Good selection of brands but I'd only come late at night or avoid altogether because of how suffocating it feels.

The employee at the front (Cashier Vanessa) asked me multiple times if i wanted to add a phone number after declining politely three times her whole attitude shifted and she handed me my item in the bag with one finger. As if she was disgusted or something. She didn’t say thank you or bye as we left as she didn’t for the customers before us. It’s Incredibly unprofessional for demeanor to change when customers decline reward/loyalty sign up’s. A customer is a customer regardless, a sign up shouldn’t make me more valuable.

Joella helped me and my friend find some color correcting products and she went above and beyond our expectations to help find the perfect product! She was very helpful and had great customer service, someone give her a raise!!! 💜

Every time I walk into this store I'm profiled or racially stereotyped. It's gotten to the point to where I don't even feel comfortable shopping in the store. A few months ago I came into the store asking to be pointed to where the waxing products had been moved and the employee proceeded to tell me that they do not sell weave in the store. I was very offended and confused as to how she interpreted weave from wax. The last time I visited the store no one helped me. I checked out and the cashier followed me out the door. I stopped over to look at fenty lip gloss testers and I noticed that she was behind me staring. I just feel like the employees think that every black person comes in the store to steal even if you pay for your items they always seem to have an underlying issue with you being in the store. This is the nearest store to my house and it's sad that I no longer feel comfortable shopping there because of racism.

I had such a lovely experience at Ulta today, thanks to Mary Yen. I just ran in for some quick errands but she made my experience at the register so wonderful! She was super sweet, made me feel really welcomed and I could tell she cares about customers and creates such a good shopping experience. Thanks for the lovely convo Mary!

My husband spent 37264827 hours smelling every cologne in the store and Janine was SO helpful and patient! She gave him all the time he needed and even began suggesting scents based on what he was gravitating towards. Truly the best customer service! Then after he made a decision, he asked for a couple other things - a non-greasy face sunscreen as well as exfoliant with vitamin C - and it was very obvious she really knew their product offerings well and gave us the perfect recommendations. Thank you so much Janine!

Stylist Lorraine was exceptional. I have fine/wavy hair and don’t frequently get haircuts because it takes me awhile to grow my hair and people usually just cut off too much. I’ve gotten “curly girl” haircuts before which have left my hair sticky and crunchy. She dry cut my waves to shape and then cleaned it up after washing. The products were appropriate for my hair type. She didn’t chop off all my hair! I think this was probably the best haircut of my life.

I came to see Lorraine B. and she Saved my Hair!!!. I had gone to another salon and they gave me gray ashy greenish hair. I felt like Oscar from Sesame Street. The ash gray nightmare was all over my hair. Lorraine B. was very helpful and listen to my problem. She knew what to do right away. I am so lucky she had time to see me to get my hair looking better. I am very happy with my hair now. In addition I have came here to this Salon at Ulta for other services and always had a great experience.
