Average experience overall. Look elsewhere if you have aftermarket wheels. Tires are always overfilled (guessing they are left at the beading pressure), lug nuts not torqued correctly, yet these items listed are on the invoice I paid. Excessive wheel weights applied crooked and overhang the wheel lip in some areas with backing paper hanging off the edges.
Could have used black weights and tried to weight from the inside as much as possible, instead I have huge shiny weights all around the outside edge of my aftermarket wheels. I've been coming here for a few years because it's convenient but these basic details are always missed.

Tom's automotive is terrific. Easy to make an appointment, go early for your best result because they get crowded (because they're really good at what they do). Victor is patient (answers questions), he's helpful and I'd rather go to this shop instead of the
Honda dealership.

My daughter just moved to Long Beach yesterday and her old truck check engine light came on. We needed a local service center quick to help her out and make sure she felt safe. Victor took great care of her, quickly. She now has a reliable local mechanic she will use every time.

I have a fleet of work trucks and have been to other shops that were good shops. That is until the bar was set at Tom's. You want to talk about customer service. I don't think I have ever seen a fingerprint on the glass! At a mechanics shop ta boot?! Come on. I saw the bathroom, Tom is a woman forsure, spotless, I tell ya!!!!

I've used Tom's for multiple vehicles and have always been pleased with the quality of their service and professionalism. With the unfavorable ownership changes at some of the dealers I've been using recently, I expect to start bringing more cars to Tom's.

I woke up this morning to the understanding that I had a large piece of metal in one of my tires. My car is a Tesla, not all shops will service them even for tires (weird). I called Tom's, they confirmed they could help and gave me pricing. Sounded good. Better still, he told me hang back and come in an hour, so less waiting around. I did exactly that, and they totally took care of the tire repair, quickly. I was out of there before I knew it.
The waiting area is modern, clean and cozy, and hearing the staff handle customers in the background, they are good people here.
I don't need service a lot, and historically I used nearby Discount Tire. They were slow, it was dirty, and a miserable place to wait, and it always seemed to cost too much. I had thus pretty low expectations going in.
Thanks Tom's for restoring my faith in auto service shops in Long Beach. You have earned my future business on the back of this!
