Surprised to see the reviews as we had a very positive experience. The concierge prioritized our room to be cleaned to accommodate our early check-in. We then requested a room on the 2nd floor and he was happy to do it. The room was clean & large enough for 4 people. Overall recommend for the price!

The location throws these Gorgeous rooms off. Service was great parking not so much. Rooms were clean updated and beds were clean and comfortable 4 stars only because of location and parking

Really disappointed in this hotel. We did book late but our door was facing traffic on a main street. The walls are paper thin so we heard people walking upstairs atleat 2 or 3 times. There was also a full DOOR in our room, that was blocked off, just by a dresser. It made me feel super unsafe. Also, the room door was lose so I was worried about it locking properly or not. We could not even find our room until calling the hotel staff again, since no one was in the hotel office area during normal check-in hours. There was also a huge bug crawling on the wall so I question the cleanliness of the rooms. The one thing I could say that is great is the bed was super soft and comfortable, plus there was multiple blankets, so it did give a cozy, home type of feeling.I go to Long Beach all the time and I would not stay here, again. Even if the hotel claims to be close by the beach, you cannot see the beach and the location of this hotel is absolutely awful with very limited parking.Walkability: You are in the center of an ugly part of town so you can walk anywhere.

Don't let the pictures fool you. This is a 2 star Hotel on a 4 star hotel budget. The room smelled of throw up and spices. I found throw up on the door. When I asked to switch rooms, they told me it would be an extra $20 dollar charge for a downgrade to two twin beds. They also charged my card an extra $100 for no reason. When I called and asked about the charge, they said it would be refunded but did not explain WHY they charged it.Thankfully a Vons was next door where I was able to purchase cleaning supplies. Even with the cleaning supplies, I still had to wake up in the middle of the night several times and spray air freshener.I'm not sure how this place has such a high review? I assume they are purchasing positive reviews or asking friends, family, and workers to place inflated reviews.

I don’t like to leave negative reviews because I really hate the thought of hurting businesses, but people seriously need to know what they’re getting themselves into before booking a room here. To be totally honest, the room was disgusting. My first impression was that it looked absolutely nothing like the vibrant, clean pictures online, and the closer I inspected everything the worse it got. The room was grungy and dingy. The walls and baseboards were scuffed up and gray with little dents all around and writing on the wall that was literally signed and dated from the 1960s and 70s (see picture), so presumably it hasn’t even been repainted since then. It smelled weird, like an odor that was poorly masked with cheap cleaning solvent and air fresheners. There were stains all over the sink and also orange mystery stains on every single towel I picked up, so rather than even drying my hands with a towel I just let them air dry each time I needed to wash my hands. The headboard of the bed had stains. There were ink stains on the comforter. As others have also mentioned in their reviews, the bathroom lights randomly turn off (I’m assuming they’re motion activated), which happened to me about 4 times just within the short amount of time it took me to brush my teeth before bed. It was very startling and creepy. The metal rack for towels under the sink is falling apart and haphazardly taped back together in multiple places. The toilet doesn’t flush very well so paper gets stuck around the sides of the basin. The whole night I stayed there, I literally didn’t want to touch anything and I didn’t even want to set my luggage down because I didn’t want it touching anything either. Good luck sleeping here because starting at around 5 AM, a flock of birds living outside the front of the building starts collectively squawking so loudly that it might as well be a scene from The Birds by Alfred Hitchcock. Also good luck finding a parking space because the lot is too small to accommodate everyone so you’ll have to look on the street or in a nearby gas station lot. Sure, the place is super close to the beach, but why does that matter when the neighborhood doesn’t even feel safe anyways? The outside area looked sketchy and if I had been traveling alone I would have just paid double to stay somewhere else last minute. The only reason this place deserves even 1 star is because at least the guy at the front desk when we checked in was polite. I would put this place on the level of any old gross motel along the side of a highway somewhere in the Midwest. I legitimately have no idea how it has 4 stars on Google Reviews. I cannot emphasize this enough: the pictures and descriptions of the place on their website are incredibly deceiving. If you want to really enjoy your stay in Long Beach and feel comfortable about where you are sleeping at night, just spend the extra few dollars at a normal hotel and take an extra 5 minutes to drive to the beach. I am beyond frustrated that we booked a room here, it absolutely was not worth the amount they charge.

I am currently at this hotel and you know I was here over a year ago and I wasn’t as impressed but now it’s lovely. The same people are running it. They are lovely. The people that are cleaning. It are amazing. The place is always sparkly and it’s a lovely little INNBELMONT SHORE IS ADORABLE ON ITS OWN BUT THERE THERE AREN’T MANY PLACES TO STAY HERE. THERE AREN’T HOTELS. THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE AND IT’S AN. INN.Inns are few and far between. Honestly, I’ve been staying in hotels and for the past year and I have not yet stayed in but here I am and I’ve just rebooked the family that it is and that Claine and it’s very sweet so I encourage anyone to send a friend here or stay here if you need to I like it I’ll add photos in the next few daysRooms: The rooms are fine. The rooms are great. I love them. They’re dark white and bright. There’s a lot of lighting in here which is really helpful because you can’t open the shade. I mean it opens, but you can’t open it. If you want to have privacy, everyone will see everything so just like can anywhere you can’t change your clothes or I can’t open the shade to have natural light in because in fact, people will see me and I prefer not for the privacy anyway stillNearby activities: You know all of 2nd Street is full of stuff shopping and eateries a couple of banks there there’s a place where we can get Botox and a facial. There’s a few nail salons. There’s 45 hair salons and tons of shopping and the food there must be 15 restaurants or more so that’s a spot with just a few blocks that you could spend your whole vacation in the waters to the left and the rightSafety: It’s certainly safe.Walkability: Definitely walkable is Belmont Shore walking until you can’t walk anymore it’s amazing. Yeah you wanna walk bring your walkFood & drinks: There’s no food and drinks here but right next-door is a beautiful Wine cellar huge hundreds and hundreds of different kinds of wines the gentleman who owns it will educate you. He also owns a deli within the Wine cellar that two is amazing the most amazing aged and fresh meats, cheese and wine so you can’t beat that that’s your meal every day if you like anyway it’s Alan check him out. He’s very kindNoteworthy details: So in reference to the rooms, they’re very modern and updated they have right now. I’m in a king room and the television is large. I think it’s 43 inch diagonal flat screen that has Wi-Fi, etc. included. There’s a refrigerator that is larger than most hotel room refrigerators there is no microwave oven. There is a full length mirror, which is rare unless it’s mirror doors

Horrible! Looks nothing like the pictures! The room smells bad and is on a busy street. It’s very loud and feels extremely unsafe! Room is tiny, walls are thin. It’s cold. There is a random door that looks like someone could walk in anytime. The property refused to refund my money but I had to find somewhere else to stay anyway! I wouldn’t recommend this place to a dog.

Loved this little cutie in a cut. My room had some water come in from the window from the rain. Told the attendant so hopefully it’s fixed for it’s customers. I loved the location. Everything was walkable. Beach, food, gas station, smoke etc. would book again.

This is a motel that is conveniently located near the beach. The pictures are close enough the reality but if you’re expecting a regular hotel do not recommend this place. I was fully unaware it was a motel and did not feel safe staying. They also refused to refund me for the one night even though the room wasn’t to my liking and I immediately cancelled.Safety: I did not feel safe staying at this location.Walkability: It’s extremely walkable just not a regular hotel

This place was super cute! We were here for one night and got in super late and they were awake for when we checked in! Great service! Room is definitely on the good quality side for the price. Floors were a little dirty. But for one night it was great!!
