I wanted to get a custom made traditional outfit for my graduation and Ming Sothay was really helpful with her guidance. I provided her with a reference picture and she was able to deliver. She also does the adjustments for you if you let her know how you would like it. I am really happy with the outcome and the help she offered. Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking to get a traditional Cambodian fit!

Sothay's Bridal helped dressed us and made it possible for us to incorporate my khmer wedding traditions into our mixed cultural wedding. Despite the language barrier, she tried her best to work with our needs and wants. On the day of the wedding, she was on time, accommodating, and tried to make my day special. She was a team of two on the day of my wedding. I highly recommend Sothay.

While on vacation, I decided to visit a Cambodian bridal shop in Long Beach since I know it would be a place where I can get a traditional Cambodian outfit tailored for my wife. As soon as my wife and mother-in-law arrived at Sothay's Bridal, we were greeted by Ms Sothay, who was such a nice lady. I explained that I came to get an outfit tailored for my wife since I came from out of state. Ms Sothay was very professional and was able to explain the different kinds of fabrics and styles based on what price points we were able to work with. After my wife was able to pick out the fabric and style she like, measurements were taken and Ms Sothay was able to give an estimate to when the outfit would be ready. Being out of state, Ms Sothay was also able to ship the outfit when it was completed. The shop only takes cash so be prepared for that. The prices for the tailored outfit and other items that we got that day were very reasonable. If anyone does want their items shipped after it is done, you do have to pay for shipping after it arrives, but Ms Sothay will call you before she ships it out. I would totally recommend Ms Sothay and her shop to anyone who wants a nice and easy experience if you are shopping for your first traditional Cambodian outfit.

I’ve never had so many people cheer when I’ve entered a room. Somaly and her daughter dressed in traditional Cambodian attire for part of our evening dinner reception, and (in a positive way), it was the most disruptive event of the night! SO many people flocked to us, cellphones in hand, looking for a picture that we had to rearrange the itinerary! My wife looked beautiful wearing all the jewelry and clothes, and I have to say that I didn’t look too bad myself.Thanks for letting me, for once in my life, be a show stopper!

After being disappointed by Vannary Bridal (she was late and sloppy), I went to Sothay's Bridal which is a couple blocks down on Anaheim Street, a little past Riverside Market. I needed traditional Cambodian clothes to wear to the temple and the moment I walked through the door at Sothay's Bridal, I was greeted by two lovely older seamstresses. I browsed through their selections and appreciated the layout of the store. To the right, they have a mini beauty/hair station; to the left they have an array of fabrics along the wall and sewing station; in the center they have a variety of different Khmer outfits to select from; at the back they have fitting rooms and a restroom. The layout of the store was clean and organized. I found what I was looking for and even found clothes for my toddler son. Unfortunately, it is cash only which is understandable for most small businesses.

My family and I were shopping for Khmer outfits for an upcoming wedding and noticed most of the Khmer bridal shops along Anaheim were closed on Sundays. But we noticed Sothay's Bridal was open. So we popped in and explained to Sothay what we were looking for, Men's khmer shirt in XL and bigger. To my surprise she said yes, what color and in short sleeve or long sleeve. We also needed some Khmer skirts and she was more than willing to bring out some of the skirts from her display shelf. The skirts were ready-made in arrays of color & pattern. She also does alterations at the shop and I believe does custom made outfits too. Prices will vary depending on the style & material. But like most Cambodians, if it's possible, we're going to bargain the price. Since we purchased several items, she was able to provide us some discount. Also don't expect an receipt as she just wrote everything you purchased down on a notebook with your name as her receipt. Overall the experience went smoothly, she was friendly,didn't rush us, and she's open on Sundays. So come give Sothay's Bridal the business.

We recently booked Meas Somaly bridal for a wedding a couple of weeks ago. They are nice people but I have to admit it just made me very sad to see in pictures that the traditional Khmer outfit weren’t folded or creased properly. The top portion of the dress just looks like it’s coming apart. I understand that they have to be fast but there’s only three bridesmaids and they even showed up on time. Two of the outfit that the bride picked out didn’t look like the same one. I just don’t get it, it’s a wedding and it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. They also forgot some accessories or jewelry for us. I can see in photos that we looked so plain because of the little amount of jewelry they brought for us. We were really hoping to look like a princess. All of our hair looked like it was coming apart and they weren’t really adamant about fixing our hair and make up. Two of the bridesmaid asked for their hair to be fixed but it never got fixed. What’s worst is that the bride’s hair was so messy because of it being rushed and the stylist wanting it to be over with. In the photos we clearly looked unorganized with our messy frizzy hair with our dresses basically coming apart. I don’t know what to say beside the fact that it was a wedding and the bride didn’t feel too beautiful. Other services offered by them for the wedding were fine. Like the live band, accessories, etc. I wished that they spent a little more time preparing our outfits and looks in general.

Me and my daughter went there 3 times she got her hair bleach and color the price was decent after 3 weeks gone by she told my daughter to come back which we did 3 times the burnt my daughter hair with flat iron and she had an bad attitude that day I myself didn't even greet her so we not going back there again theres always salon thats wants our money and take good care of thier customers so ppl watch where you go cut style or dye your hair

I hired Sophie to style 7 women for an event at The Reef in Long Beach and her work so beautiful! Her and her partner were so fast too! I was very impressed and am now hiring her for the second time for another event tomorrow! She deserves more 5 star reviews as she is kind and makes everything so easy and smooth! Thank you Sophie!!

Service could have been better in my opinion, but everything worked out and the Bride was happy. They have beautiful products, just make sure you're on top of them to make sure you are all on the same page.

I'm happy that my wife chose Meas Somaly bridal. The outfit looked so great on both the guys and girls. We wore five Cambodian Wedding Outfits that day. My wife looked so beautiful that day. I really love the wedding hair and make up on her. A Cambodian Wedding is always fast pace, so be prepare to do all the changing and tasks if you're planning to get married soon.
