“We absolutely love Bayshore Co-Op and recommend it to anyone looking for a parent participation school. The location is beautiful, the little ones get lots of outdoor play & Ms. Cori is wonderful with children. Our son was very hesitant to start preschool and Ms. Cori was so gracious with him, helping him find activities that he liked and made him feel at home. I am so grateful for this little school by the beach.”

“I went here from 1972 until 1981, from preschool to after school care. My 4 daughters went here as well as my nephews from 1984 to 1990 and from 1996 to 2008. I have such fond memories of all the teachers. I love them. The Ahrens family has created a safe environment. My children are all very successful and excelled in academics which I attribute to their time spent here in this loving but disciplined preschool. I only wish I lived closer so my grandchildren could get the same wonderful experience. I highly recommend this preschool. It is honestly the best in the area!! Hi Ms. Nancy!! And yes she’s the same preschool teacher I had!!”

“Thanks to Cloud Nine Yoga Schools my life has been transformed. I started learning from Erika Faith back in College years, and ever since, she has been my mentor, my teacher, my inspiration. I learned yoga for the first time through Erika's teachings in 2007. I was so moved by her knowledge, experience and leadership, and I wanted to continue to learn more about yoga practice, life and philosophy. First, I completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training, and then I continued onto a 300 hour in depth teacher training. I met the most wonderful collective in these few years and carried on along my journey with a new pair of glasses. Almost a decade later, the pandemic hit. I was still receiving newsletters seasonally from Erika Faith with updates about her teacher trainings. She started offering her first online teacher training from her new residence in Kauai. She had been there almost 6 years, and it was my dream to learn more, grow even deeper. While the world grew unsettled in COVID times, I worked through all the struggles and obstacles in a more graceful state, thanks to my anchor, twice per week, Cloud Nine Yoga School via Zoom. Our cohort went on to study two back to back YTTs finishing off the year with happiness, freedom, peace and reconnected to the light of our true nature. This summer, I had the absolute honor of taking a personal yoga retreat with Erika and her family in the most magical place I've ever visited, the island of Kauai. We did yoga, meditative watercolor, surfed waves, plunged into cold, fresh water lagoons, snorkeled with fishies, hugged trees, and ate healthy, nourishing meals every day, always being present to the beauty that surrounded us. We drank juices, elixirs, smoothies and coconuts. We played, we learned; I healed and evolved. I came to Erika Faith in a sad state. I was suffering the loss of a job that I put my whole heart and soul into for years. Erika helped me realize that it was all for a new calling, a new opportunity for growth. I learned how to let go and let God. The island saved me with its powerful Mana. We got present everyday through conscious meditation and mindfulness of our bodies, mind and spirit. I wish that everyone could experience what I did. It was my greatest gift. Thank you Erika Faith and Cloud Nine Schools.”

“My son has been going to LVCCNS for the last 3 years. It's an amazing school. They really care about the kids especially during during this time. They have worked so hard to keep everyone safe and healthy while still achieving and fun learning environment. My son is in their Pre-K class and I think he will be ready for kindergarten next year because of this school. I have 2 younger children that will be going to the school when they are ready.”

“Alex at the main office is THE MAN! Anytime I need help or go by the office he is always there. Whether it's enrollment, a quick question or finding a solution, he's it! Busy guy I'm sure but knows his stuff. And for those who complain about parking, it's out of their control. They don't have staff parking so it is what it is.”

“They took care of our son from 9 months old to 2 years old. He had been somewhat traumatized at his previous daycare (crying every day at drop off and pick up), and yet he loved coming here since day 1. Bright Futures had just opened the infant room and so our son was only the second baby there. It was maybe a leap of faith but we immediately felt we could trust them with our baby. The room is brand new, clean, and organized. Director Tiffany takes extra care of the infant room and our baby was surrounded by loving teachers all the time. We are switching now because we want to be closer to home and not take the 710 every day, but at the new daycare, they were surprised to notice how well-socialized and well-mannered our son was. Obviously, they did a great job of teaching him social skills. Our son especially enjoyed the front yard where he could ride the tricycle for hours, the water days in the summer when they play in the water, and sometimes they would let him hang with the older kids which is proven to be beneficial for development. They use an app to communicate with parents so we would get pictures of him and updates every day. Also, they provide meals which is a huge help for working parents. Thank you thank you for taking care of our baby!”

“We are so disappointed that we had to pull our kiddos out when we moved away!! Oakwood Academy is such a great school and I miss our kids going here dearly! The teachers are all great and very attentive and our kids learned SO much while they were there. Our barely 3YO was only able to spend about 6 months there before we left, but while we were there, she built so much confidence and learned so much from Ms. Tana, Ms. Jessie, and Ms. Noemi!Ms. Noemi, Ms. Jessie, and Ms. Rosa were my other kiddo's teachers and they're all so great! This school tries to get parents involved in various activities and our kids really enjoyed all the parties that the school threw. We have no complaints and would highly recommend this school to other families!”

“This church welcomes anyone with open arms! They have a website, gracefirst.org where you can watch their live stream 9AM services. The music director composed a beautiful 5 movement Christmas Contada. They cook and serve food and hold Third Street services to the homeless downtown. They have Deacons that are there for you personally. They have on-campus concerts from various artists and groups who entertain the Long Beach jazz, country, etc aficionados. They even went to help out in the Hurricane Katrina disaster, to the West Virginia backhills and even to Peru to help those in need. These folks really care!”

“All four of my children have had the privilege of attending Birney Elementary! The teaching staff is suburb! The Special Education team is just wonderful! And there is not a better 2nd grade teacher anywhere than Mr. Salzman. He taught my children to “be prepared” and “ be responsible”. Each child always felt valued in his classroom. The teaching staff make this elementary school outstanding!”

“WONDERFUL School my kids love it and the teachers are great. So far 3 out of 5 kids was promoted from Dooley. Miss Lim great teacher. My oldest was one of her student now graduating at Jordan HS with a scholarship from the Kiwanis Club. So proud of her. Great Job. Only issue is that the school or Long Beach Unified is trying to eliminate the G.A.T.E. Class or Excel Program. Please help the students or the future students to keep the program.”

“My son started Wee Care at 13 months old; he is now almost 3 years old and will sadly be leaving Wee Care soon. He would have started Wee Care at an earlier age but there wasn't space available at the time. The previous daycare was terrible. The babies were all in one tight room, eating/pooping/sleeping in the same space, germs spread rampantly there! My infant son got sick so often, it was heartbreaking. Fortunately, Wee Care finally had space open for my son and we couldn't transfer fast enough. Wee Care is exponentially better. I love that they have dedicated and separate spaces for playing, eating, and sleeping for infants/young toddlers. My son thrived in Wee Care and was able to sleep much much longer than at the previous daycare. He ate well and slept well and enjoyed playing with his friends. The teacher to baby ratio is low and the tuition is very reasonable. The facility may seem dated, but it's very well-maintained and clean. All the teachers genuinely care for the kids. I would recommend Wee Care to any family and will be sending my second baby to Wee Care as well!”

“We cannot say enough good things about the ece program at JCC. Our son loves going to school, and has just blossomed as a tiny human. His teacher (ms mott) is such a blessing, and cares for each child as her own. We LOVE her!! From his speech and motor skills, all the way to developing life-long friendships. An added bonus for us parents, is the aspect of community and connecting with other families in the area. We look forward to events, all school Shabbat, etc, bc we have formed such great ties to other parents and their children. Really just can't say enough good things. Very appreciative our son landed a spot in this program.”
