The rooms are large, I booked a studio using points but got upgraded to the 2 bedroom, 2 bath loft. It was amazing to have a full kitchen, large fridge, especially as I was traveling with a 1 year old. The hot breakfast was so good! The staff was so friendly and attentive. We were given a room far from construction, which wasnt an issue as I was wfh on east coast hours. (Wifi is open and unsecured, so I had to hotspot from my phone, if that's an issue for you) It's a few mins from the hospital as well. Will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic facility. Parking can be a bit of a pain while they’re still remodeling rooms. Everyone who works here does a great job.

You can’t beat this location, coffee, and food across the street. With that being said though there’s a lot of construction in the hotels old staff is outstanding and the breakfast wasn’t bad. The fireplace was a welcome surprise.

Don't pick the 2nd floor if you have mobility issues or very heavy luggage because there is no elevator.
The hotel was going through a renovation process. Some rooms got renovated while others were still old.
Good breakfast and nice staff.

The hotel manager was rude to me but super attentive to my husband. I had asked a question & she didn't even look at me while almost answering in a flat rude sarcastic way, but when my husband returned from getting something out of our car she suddenly turned super bubbly laughing and smiling while trying to make jokes with him and making eye contact- basically flirting as I was not even there. I felt very uncomfortable as did my husband. Didn't bother to get get name but she had dark hair and a tattoo on her arm. We will never stay here again and don't recommend if your husband is good looking like mine just due to the bad singled out vibes.

Overall it was a nice stay. Staff were super friendly and helpful. They have security at night who manages people coming in and out of the hotel area. Rooms were generally clean. I liked the concept of the room with an area to lounge and the kitchen area.
Some cons for my stay:
- Light switches are motion sensor. The room I stayed in, the motion sensors were super sensitive so that meant at night the lights to the bathroom area and kitchen area would suddenly turn on at night from my partner and I tossing and turning. First night, it turned on like 4-6 times. On the second night we tried to minimize our movements while sleeping and it still turned on like 3 times. It was very disruptive to our sleep.
- Bathroom door is oddly placed in a narrow area so it makes it difficult to get in and out of the bathroom.

Our experience with Residence Inn was better than expected from reading the previous reviews. The hotel is under renovations. We were fortunate to have a newly renovated room. All of these rooms are like mini apartments. There are people that live there so do expect some being full time residents. There was a security guard at the entrance when we first arrived but rarely saw them after that. We had a King room on the ground floor. It was sufficient for our week long stay. The kitchen had everything we needed. The showers were nice and roomy. Breakfast was conventional but meet the needs and was fresh. Would recommend a second half and half server as many times it was empty when I got coffee. The breakfast area was spacious. The outdoor area was nice and clean. The pool is small. They do allow pets. I do wish there was a bigger area for a dog walk. Possibly have one on the other side of the complex. Staff was polite and attentive.

My experience at Residence Inn, Long Beach has been great. I enjoyed the newly renovated unit which was a studio. Very spacious and comfortable. Nice to be away from the downtown which takes only about half an hour by local transit to reach, which I enjoyed. Full kitchen was a plus and breakfast included was very good. Would recommend.

My dad booked the hotel with points, and when we were check-in
She tried to scam us by saying points + cash, but we only booked with points
There are so many red flags she sees the cards usually, people just for the last four digits
Food and drinks: There was Starbucks, Pinkberry, and GameStop
Near this hotel, There is a shortcut across the grass

Property is in the process of a renovation. I was in a newer room and was nice. The location was good for the job site I was working for the week, but otherwise there is nothing immediately around the hotel. The front desk staff seem more preoccupied chatting with each other than assisting guests, but they were not rude. This is a typical residence inn with full apartment style rooms; full kitchens, living rooms and bedroom. For a 3 night work trip it did the trick, but for a vacation trip would have been disappointed.

Despite how nice the room was I have to give a 1 star. We got back to our room at 10pm, just in time for the room below us to start their party. By midnight the party was out of control. Called the front desk and they said they'd take care of it. 2:30 am the party the was still going. It was almost 3 am before the hotel kicked them out. This is not a motel 6 in a bad neighborhood. We expected more. The front desk offered us no compensation or even apologized. All they said was, "yeah we know " The ironic thing is upon check in we signed a form that stated no loud parties.
