If you need your wedding dress or dress pants altered, Marta is the one to go to! I really loved my dress but there was so much wrong with it. I was stressed and wondering how it could be fixed, but Marta made me feel like everything would be ok and she was right. Marta brought it to life and gave me the wedding dress of my dreams! I was amazed how much better it looked after her work. It fit me like a glove and I got so many compliments!
She is very friendly and professional. She also hemmed and ironed my husbands dress pants, they turned our beautiful. Thank you, Marta!

Marta is an absolute lifesaver. I needed my pants hemmed on extremely short notice, and because she happened to not be busy, she was able to get them done same day. The work is absolutely stellar, could not have asked for better. She's also a lovely person and incredibly kind and funny. The price was also not as expensive as I thought it was going to be, considering the circumstances. I highly recommend!! (Do make sure to book in advance, though.)

I think Martha is a craftsman. She is very good at what she does. There were no errors in her work. Just perfection. She completely unstichthed my motorcycle jacket's zipper and put a rainproof one exactly where the old one is with better than factory stichting. She has the knowledge, experience and tools to do such jobs. Thank you very much Marthe and I hope your expertise is being passed along to next generations.

Marta is amazing! Any time I need quick professional alterations or customizations I come to her. She recently altered dresses for both me and my mom and had them fitting perfectly in just a few days. I wouldn't take my items anywhere else, even drove over an hour to come back to her since moving out of the LBC!!!

I had an Aso Ebi dress I needed tailored for my friend's Nigerian/Ghanaian wedding and Marta did an amazing job customizing the dress to fit me. She was enjoyable to work with and would recommend her services. Just sweet little lady.

Martha's is such a hidden gem here in Long Beach. I can't say enough about her professionalism and patience. I accidentally purchased two male suit pants too large and Martha basically had to custom remake them from scratch. She communicated with me on timelines and any additional adjustments. Fellas, please stop by Martha's for the best fitted alterations. She had made a lifelong customer out of me. Thank you, Martha!

Called in for a quote, Marta quoted me $100 for tapering a pair of pants. I followed up saying oh wow why so much?, she then goes well you asked for a price. That being said, I would never spend my hard earned money at this place. Would give zero stars if I could

She was professional & kind & she did a fantastic job on my wedding dress. I bought a dress from a trunk sale & it arrived not how I expected. It was completely hideous & arrived in several different pieces that had to be put together. I was stressed out because my dress required a lot of work and I didn’t know whether I had allowed for enough time to complete the job. Thank God she was able to fit me in and accommodate me. Weddings can be stressful and I kept losing weight so every time I would go in for a fitting, my waist line would be smaller which would require extra work. Alterations were costly, but you get what you pay for & her work was worth every penny. I received so many compliments and when she was done, it looked like it was custom made just for me. Such a sweet woman & if I need anything, I will definitely be back. I also did a yelp review on her work about 8 years ago & posted pictures of my before & after photos of my dress. Check it out

We had an amazing experience with Marta! I consider myself blessed to have found her. Her years of experience, passion, and pride she has for her work really shows. The alterations made on my wedding dress included: bringing in the bodice/ waistline, correctly sewing the shift of the bodice to the embellished layers, fitting the chest, adjusting the hem up in front, adjusting the neckline's appliqué, and adding a three-point bustle (with appliqué hiding them). After the initial fitting appointment, she removed each appliqué by hand (where needed), tacked (temporary stitch) the changes, confirmed at the second fitting, and finalized the alterations by hand. The process was smooth, quick, professional, and communication was on point every step of the way. I am so grateful for your services Marta! Everyone complimented the dress. My hubby even called it stunning! Thank you for taking my worries away in such a short time and for your part in making a once in a lifetime dream come true. I will keep you in my prayers for years to come.

I visited Marta's Tailor Shop for alterations on my dress, as there was a few fitting issues I had with the dress previously and she was very helpful and detailed with explaining what needed to be done, and answered all my questions and was done in a quick amount of time as well! Highly recommend for any tailoring or alterations you need.
