Only Marriott hotel I've been at that does not give Titanium Elite members lounge access if they dont have a qualified rate (paid through corporate). Very stingy.

This was my first time staying at a Marriot hotel and I did enjoy the stay. The room was nice. I asked for a room with view of the airport runway… ?. The bed was clean & comfortable. There was a fridge in the room but no microwave. The staff was very professional. There was also complimentary breakfast. Free parking. It was a wonderful stay and I’ll for sure visit again in the near future.

Good leadership and employee training is so important and, unfortunately, seems to be lacking here. We checked in last night after a long flight. We were supposed to get a room upgrade with Marriott status. When I asked, the desk gal said ‘no, we don’t have that here.’ Fine - I know they do but I don’t want to argue so we just went to the room assigned to us.
As a person with Celiac’s disease, I need to be super careful about avoiding certain foods that can wreck my whole day and result in permanent health deterioration. The ADA requires reasonable accommodation. Generally, I don’t want to make a big deal out of it and we actively choose hotels with a fridge and microwave so that I can have food that I know is safe. Higher end hotels have been able to send a microwave to our room on request. This hotel used to have microwaves in the rooms but they very recently took them away when the hotel was renovated. I called down and luckily spoke with Miguel (and not the front desk gal) who arranged for me to use a microwave that they provide for airline personnel. When I went downstairs, the woman at the front desk said, ‘no, sorry, we don’t have any microwave here.’ Luckily, Miguel was there and pointed me in the right direction. I’m so glad for him - he elevates the customer service in the hotel.
We are switching hotels today, so I asked for a late checkout. I am supposed to receive a late checkout with the hotel status. The front desk gal again, said, ‘No, sorry, we don’t have any late check outs here.’ I specifically mentioned the hotel status, and she just repeated what she said initially. It’s a big inconvenience for us to drive around with our luggage for 2 hours between hotels. There are worse problems to have and if the hotel were busy, we’d understand. I get that there are no guarantees and that’s fine. The problem is when the front desk automatically denies every request as a matter of course. She wasn’t rude - just the answer to everything was ‘no, sorry.’ I could see how this would really infuriate some people. I read other reviews that say this hotels denies all hotel status benefits but I thought maybe those people were being particular about it when the hotel was crowded, etc. Nope - this seems to be par for the course. No matter how empty the hotel, every status or other request will be summarily denied.
I had to call Marriott customer service who called the hotel and got the matter straightened out so that we can have the late checkout. I think this hotel is going on my ‘do not stay’ list. We are in Long Beach frequently to visit family.
Our room was bright and clean and the hotel is super close to the airport. I was talking to my dad on the phone this morning when a southwest plane drove by as the runway is right outside of the window! However, there are no microwave and you can’t really make a cup of coffee with the room coffee maker. The outlets are great on one side of the bed and nonexistent on the other. I think this hotel is fine if you don’t have or want to use Marriott status benefits and you’re not expecting anything other than a clean bed to sleep in.
Rooms: Room was clean and modern - no microwave

Very bad food and overpriced at both restaurants there. House keeper went inside our room even though we had the privacy thing on the door handle and it was before 12, my husband was almost with no clothes on. Very unprofessional.

This is THE ONLY property I have stayed, where a Marriott Bonvoy member, with Titanium Elite status, gets refused access to the Marriott Club lounge solely because they work for an airline. The room is paid for, and a Bonvoy member is staying in that room and spending in the restaurant otherwise, at extremely high prices. This particular franchise owner needs to quit being such a cheapskate. Not a happy Titanium Elite Member.
Food and drinks: Very high prices in the restaurant.

This place may have had the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in ever, and I stay in a LOT of hotels. Amazing room, very quiet and comfortable. Very close to the Long Beach airport too!

We came in late Friday night and were out into room 406. When we got in the floor every room door was propped open by a trash can and several dehumidifiers and fans were in the hallway turning it into a wind tunnel. I called down to the desk and was told the sprinklers had been set off and they were drying out the rooms, not to worry. No offer to change rooms.
By Saturday evening all our clothes were damp. I complained at the desk with no real response. When checking out Sunday morning I complained again and the desk people said the floor was cleared for guests. They obviously had not gone up there.
Kristen Romero was supposed to contact me Monday but she did not. I called and left her a vmail Tuesday with no response. I will do my best to avoid Marriott in the future.
Rooms: Damp everything. Towels, clothes, everything damp.
Safety: Put us into a room in a hallway with a dozen dehumidifiers. Obviously going to have a mold issue if not already.

I want to sincerely thank Taylor F for the excellent customer service she has provided for the Long Beach Marriott. She has provided excellent assistance managing our group reservations and I'd recommend asking for her for your groups and events at the Long Beach Marriott! Above and Beyond!

This was a great place to stay before my cruise. I decided to stay here because they have an airport shuttle and the ability to ship things to the hotel and receive them without a fee. The shuttle drivers were great and helpful I had to go back and forth to the airport a few times due to my airline sending my luggage to another place. I was not at the location long only for the night. I did try the breakfast in the morning, I would skip that it was the only disappointment just not very good. Other than that the room was clean and well kept up all amenities I needed provided and the staff were welcoming and friendly. This is a great pic for a hotel in Long Beach don't take my word for it , book it and see for your self.
