This hotel makes you feel like family. Everyone who works here is great. Especially the Ops manager Darnell and the bartender Robert. Two great guys who make the Waterfront the place to be in the evening. Definitely worth the stay. Its proximity to the outlets is great and there are food trucks most nights just a street away(definitely try the yellow truck Manny's-the fish tacos were delish). The views from the rooftop pool are wonderful. I would definitely stay here.
Rooms: Love the amenities in the rooms. Minimalist but with great flair. Storage for clothes is amazing and the bathroom is gorgeous.
Walkability: It's within blocks of everything here. The Museums, aquarium, shopping and the restaurants. The lighthouse isn't far either
Food and drinks: The waterfront has delicious food. My favorite was the French toast with banana and pecans.

Such a beautiful hotel both inside and out. The checking process was super easy, and the attendant was very kind in getting my room ready for me. The rooms look new or updated. It was very quiet despite a large conference going on down the street that I was attending. I felt very safe alone as they locked the hotel lobby at night, and only card access is available. They do not have an airport shuttle, but Uber was fast getting to the place, and they dropped you right at the door where you were greeted by a doorkeeper during the day. They have a restaurant in the lobby that has certain hours of operation. I loved the online app that made checkout super easy! I highly recommend this hotel!
Safety: The hotel felt very safe at night as the doors were locked in the lobby, and you needed a keyboard to enter.

Place needs a make over.
Carpets dirty and smelly.
Rooms not what was depicted on site. Cost more than nearby up to standard hotels.

Great location at the Pike outlet. The room is clean and updated. NEED more hook in the bathroom for towels. There's nowhere to hang used towels. The rooftop pool has a good view of water. Understand the front door is close for busy foot travel, but I wish the doorman paid attention and helped holding the door open for guests with full hands of stuff.
Walkability: Easy walk to downtown Long Beach and the beach front

Easy check in and very friendly staff throughout our stay. Loved the location. No on site parking but The Pike public parking is within 5 minutes walking.

This hotel is nestled back in a mall area but was very convenient to get to the aquarium, whale watching boats and multiple restaurants. Had a nice place to eat from 6am to 11 pm was a little pricey but the server was very friendly. King and queen bed in 1 room very comfortable. Had a problem with someone banging above us and the staff sent security was very quiet after that. Small roof top pool has good views of the harbor. We were looking for a hotel close to a sand beach. It's not far, but we were walked out from disney. It would be too far to walk 2-3 miles away to get sand. We drove to huntinington beach about 30 min away by recommendation of man at the hotel and beach was beautiful. Spent half a day there nice showers and pizza restaurant. Aquarium was nice. 2 places for ice cream in the mall. Felt very safe even really late Walking in the area.

Disappointed that the pool bar close so early. Then tried getting food down stairs and kitchen was closed. Being that I had burns on NY arms and legs from a chemical burn at work. Walking across the street wasn't an option. So I called a Uber and went home.

Really loved this smaller Hyatt hotel! It has lots of charm, feels luxurious, and was in a great location.
The rooms were quaint, definitely felt a bit smaller, but felt very nice and pretty premium! Maybe not the best for families though.
The gym equipment is definitely a disappointment for being a Hyatt. Very old, outdated. Just doesn't fit in with the overall vibe and look of the hotel.
Overall, really enjoyed our 1 night stay here. Would recommend!

This is what I expect when I hear the name Hyatt. The rooms, the service, the location, above and beyond.
I never got Long Beach when I lived in SoCal but this made me get it. Walking distance to the pier, food, convention center, and downtown. The best thing was the rooftop pool to see it all. The cabana's were great and the staff was super pleasant, helpful, and chill. Chill, is so hard to find because you want it to be professional but at the same time, have fun. Their team brought all that and a bag of potato chips could be purchased for $3.50. (totally made up the bag of chips price). The check in was super helpful on holding our bag even with early check in and late check out WOH status. So we had no worries and enjoyed the extra time to walk around Long Beach.
I highly recommend a cabana rental which comes with shade, TV, and outlets.
