I was surprised by non free breakfast at that price point. They had a lot of renovation's going on for services. The tv was abysmally slow it took 5 seconds or so to respond to each remote command but it was really nice to have modern streaming options at a hotel.Did not get a service or no service sign until after being woke up at 8am the first night. Room not ready was delayed for almost 2 hours. No push notification recvd thru app.Room floor dirty incl bathroom floor found hair. Carpet nasty.Handle on sink crusty, tub dingy.Bath towels had an odor, wash cloths thin.Housekeeping very loud voices in hallway before 8am.This location in Downtown Long Beach get a 1 star. Wish I can give them a zero.Strongly suggest staying at the Torrance location , so much better! I give them 5 stars!!! And it's less than 25 mins from Long Beach if your event is there.Noteworthy details: See my previous comment, enough said. Such a disappointment.

Excellent service. Located downtown Long Beach. There’s plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Room is clean, it has a spacious desk area. Aveda products are offered. The bath towels and etc look like they’re brand new! The Metro station is right around the corner. The buffet breakfast was delicious with a large variety of foods and an omelet making station. Maria was extremely helpful! Rooftop pool is only on top of the 3rd floor, not actually on the rooftop like it was advertised. Head on down to the pool for a great time!! We were only there one night. So we didn’t have a lot of time to check everything out!!Nearby activities: Walk down to the pier or go shopping in the mall that is very close byWalkability: Plenty of shopping and restaurants easily within walking tests.

Here now. The hospitality is great as always with a Marriott. Front desk super helpful, remembers names, etc. rooms are decently equipped but not high end, as with any Courtyard property. The building is dated and the hallways and common areas minus the lobby lack any pizzazz. The pool was the biggest let down, looks like a roadside motel pool. The hot tub they have pictured does not exist and looks to have been filled in years ago. Restaurant on site was very good and very well priced for the area. Photo is of the “new hot tub”.

Took us in after our other hotel booking was a mess. Room was ready early at no charge, was big and quiet, hotel is close to everything. Had as pool that we didnt use. Small but seemed clean. People were very nice. Would come back again.

The room was big and clean. It has a good view of Queen Mary. The air conditioning was very good, AC is the most for me. There is a lot of restaurant selection around & near hotel.I loved it. Overall, it was a great experience.

Friendly staff and peaceful lobby. No buffet breakfast, but I liked the oatmeal porridge. Was quite near the beach and I could go for an evening jogging along the beach. The hidden parking and maneuver required to enter and exit the lobby area gives taxi drivers a good challenge. Something to see if it can be improved in the future.Walkability: Walking distance to the beach

I was there from last 7 days. It was very beautiful moment for me. Arrangements there , all hotel staff specially room service staff were very nice and humble. It is located a very good place. The beach is nearby and it is convenient to go to other tourist places.

Traveled for work. I arrived from a late flight after 1am, Valet was gone for the night so I had to go across the alley way and into the parking garage and haul my luggage back across to the hotel, felt sketchy as a woman alone. When I got to my room it was pitch black and 85° as the AC was not working. Around 3am the security guy came and fixed the AC. (Apparently the little wall unit got unplugged). They had a room service menu, but didn’t offer room service you had to go down to place an order. As a Platinum elite member Id say this wasn’t the greatest arrival service. The bistro team was amazing, a tall man with dark hair and a woman took very good care of me and the team.It was close to everything downtown and loved scooting around.

No parking. Plan on paying to park at Marriott instead. Limited security. Room had a physical key. Haven’t used one in a hotel for over 20 years. Need to upgrade to electronic locks. There was no interior locking mechanism.

We stayed in this hotel for one night with 2 kids. The hotel's location is good, as it is close to Shorline Aqua Park and Pacific Aquarium. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was included in the hotel price, but it was served late and didn't meet our expectations. Generally, the hotel is decent, but it is not cheaper compared to other hotels. We chose street parking, as overnight parking is free. The hotel parking is expensive.

Upon entering you are immediately greeted by valet host. Hou have two options: self Park or valet. We opted to self park so we can have immediate access to items left in car. Upon entering and checking in, we were greeted by Sergio. We received an early the k in! Went up to our room to find all new amenities such as microwave and mini fridge! Oh yes, Starbucks coffee for our morning. I have to say this place us clean, very comfortable and you feel safe. We walked throughout the entire downtown area and explored. I definitely recommend this hotel. Great bar, restaurant, and ambiance. We slept great, and can't wait to return. It's located in downtown which makes it easy to park and walk. Thanks again to all the staff for making our stay a great experience.

If I could leave a zero star review, I would. Our experience last Friday at this hotel was horrible. We had planned to spend 1 night for a family members birthday, family from out of town. Our initial check in experience was pleasant and all smiles but after returning to our room after lunch to freshen up before heading back out for the afternoon. My nephew who is black decided to go downstairs to use the restroom because the girls were getting freshened up in the room bathroom. He is such a perfect gentleman. On his way back to the room, he rushed in and said security and a woman had followed him around the hall and he thought they were in route to our room. A few seconds later there was a knock at the door, we opened and a lady and security guard at the door insisted they smelled smoke coming from inside our room. None of us were smoking inside the room and we explained that to them, we even asked if they wanted to come in and smell the room for smoke. They continued to tell us the hotel does not allow smoking of any kind and they'll be charging the credit card on file a $250 smoking fee. We insisted no one was inside the room smoking but they walked away. About 5 minutes later the downstairs desk called the room and confirmed the card was charged. We tried to reason with them but they refused to listen. We strongly believe when they saw my nephew walking down the hallway, he was racially profiled which is why they came straight to our room and insisting it was us. We packed up our stuff and left the hotel, making sure their downstairs desk staff saw us leave. I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company and make sure all of social media hears about this experience.
