Best animal hospital around. Dr. An is fantastic and they are the only place with fair prices. Don't go anywhere else!

I really love this vet practice! The vet I have seen, twice now for two of my different cats, Dr. Jin An is wonderful! He knows his stuff, is very compassionate and VERY thorough. I have had pets my entire life and have gone to multiple different vets all around the country, and I’ve never had a vet give such a thorough evaluation of the bloodwork done. Most vets never even tell you the results unless there is a major issue and I’ve always had to ask. I’m so glad to have found him and this practice!

The safety of your pet is not guaranteed here especially if they’re anxious or remotely fractious. at first glance a very “ patient” doctor has no patience for pet safety, does not know when to stop for the pets safety.

Never seen a vet go above and beyond like this one. What you did for Maxine the squirrel was beautiful. I wish all vets had the kindness and compassion like you.

This review is long overdue. We first took our sweet cat to Dr. An at Belmont Heights Animal Hospital in 2021 when we found a bump on her underside. Dr. An scheduled and performed a successful mastectomy on our love within the next week. Throughout the surgical process, his team was knowledgeable, compassionate, and communicative. Later, when the cancer returned, he was patient and kind when I cried in his office after receiving the news. He referred us to a local cancer center that would continue her treatment, but still continued to provide basic x-rays and specialty labs when his office had the equipment to do so.
When we adopted a second cat we knew we would take her to see Dr. An and his staff. It was no question! Like I said, the customer service is incredible and we wouldn’t dream of going to another veterinarian. We are so grateful for the Belmont Heights Animal Hospital team!

Doctor Jin An is simply one of the most caring, knowledgeable, and trustworthy professionals I know. He and his team are prompt, courteous, helpful, and kind. We thank our good fortune to have been introduced to Dr. Jin An and the care and services that our dog receives. Thank you Dr. Jin and staff.

Called and scheduled a house call with the Dr.($150 not including meds, as well as a vet tech fee) for what I assumed was an eye infection in my 3 lb Yorkie. After a brief assessment, he determined that the cause of the inflammation in the eye was due to abcessed teeth. He recommended extractions, which I was willing to consider. At the end of his visit, he asked to hold my dog again and proceeded to press on her left cheek area. She was yelping and immediately started bleeding profusely. On the initial visit, all that was prescribed was an eyedrop med. Never an oitment , cone given to avoid worsening infection of the eye inflmation..Following day antibiotics and pain meds were delivered. Next day I noticed a large open sore, wound , where the doctor pressed on her cheek area. I have made several contacts with my concerns and he continues to advise extractions are necessary. I mentioned multiple times that my concern was that she clearly has an active infection but he said the surgery could still be performed. He advised more than once to seek other vet care. I contacted the doctor today about the open wound on her face and expressed my concern, for which he advised our services are terminated..I will follow up with Sac Med Board. The last photo is of my dog before his vist. A swollen eye. No open wound

Dr An is amazing. He removed a few masses that were cancer from my boxer. Managed to get the margins perfectly. Forever grateful. Front staff was very pleasant.

I live in North Glendale and I drive to Long Beach for Dr An and Dr Fries. I met Dr An when he was a young vet, practicing in Dr Fries' practice. He treated my Rottweiler, Duke, for an autoimmune disease even though two other vets told me to put him down. He gave me six more very good years with my beloved. When Duke developed a reaction to Prednisone, Dr An found an alternative drug that he could tolerate. He treated the symptoms of Cushings because of drug interactions. Duke died a natural death at 14 - a very long life for a very big dog. Dr An also treated Ellie, my Shiba Inu, who developed Dementia in the last year of her life. We made a pact that he would do everything he could to give her quality of life. When it was time, he reminded me of our pact. His love and compassion gave me comfort that we had done our best for Ellie. Dr Fries is an equally supporting doctor. When Duke developed a bleed in his paw because of the Prednisone, Dr Fries took him in immediately on a busy Saturday morning and stopped the bleeding. He treated Duke's paw cancer and was so kind that, even though we had to do surgery to remove a digit, Duke did not fight when we had to go back for post-operative care. These two doctors represent how medicine - animal and human - should be practiced. In this day of swinging door doctors and large impersonal practices when one is treated by a different doctor at every visit, they are a reminder of the good old days.

I absolutely love this vet and feel so incredibly grateful to have such an awesome place so close by. Dr. An is such a kind, knowledgeable and caring vet. He is very responsive and takes the time to say/send very thorough descriptions of what's going on with my pets, especially my senior dog, Molly. Watching Molly transition into an elderly stage of her life has been really hard emotionally and I feel soooo supported by Dr. An and his staff.

What can I say? Best place ever recommend this place 100% great Staff excellent doctors that know what they’re doing. I live in Apple Valley California . My dog had an infection in her uterus. They were trying to charge me $5000 to operator or put her to sleep up here in Apple Valley. I didn’t have the money so I was going to put her to sleep. Luckily, my sister told me about this place down in Long Beach so I took her the next day and he was able to help me out. He saved my dog and I really appreciate that, thank you she’s doing well now you guys save her from her being put to sleep well appreciate it

I took my cat here for his overgroming issues thinking we were going to see the owner and main vet Dr. Jin An. Instead we saw Dr. Fries who seemed extremely out of touch with current medications and who is retiring. We were prescribed the wrong dosage of apoquel and I had to return it to get the right dosage. They also gave us the chewable formula for dogs when there is a tablet. The staff offered us a complimentary visit with Dr. An but I haven't heard back. I'm really disappointed in this experience.

Dr Anh was very kind direct and knowledgeable. He didn’t make me feel like an inconvenience and he was upfront about cost. I think there is no amount of money I wouldn’t spend for my cat, but the fact that he cared about it being reasonable price meant a lot to me.The whole staff was kindThank you! It truly means a lot
