We were very dissatisfied with virtually every aspect of our experience with Animal Dermatology medical group. Our dog was first seen by ADMG in October 2022. She was diagnosed with allergies and started on allergy shots. She continued to suffer from skin problems including one or more infections. The response from ADMG was that it can take up to one year for allergy shots to work and there was nothing else to be done. In May 2023 we decided to get a second opinion. The new veterinarian immediately recognized that our dog suffered from sebaceous adenitis and started her on treatment for that condition. The improvement was immediate. In addition to the poor quality of medical care, the Long Beach office is substandard. There is inadequate office space and we had to talk to the doctor by phone in the shabby lobby. When we called our concerns to the attention of ADMG, our emails were ignored. If your dog has skin problems, we would not recommend ADMG

Determined how to best support our cat with eosinophilic granuloma and now that we've found a diet that works, we no longer have to give her daily meds and she hasn't had a single flare up. Informative, kind, helpful. Highly recommend. Note, we worked with Dr. Muse

It's been a process in finding the right prescription for his pemphigus that would work with his heart murmur, as well. We're finally at a point where he's back to looking and feeling great we wouldn't have gotten to this point without the dermatologist ? because of his other issues, but I owed it to him to give him a better life

The doctors are good technically, but all in all you are nothing but a credit card to them. My dog was a patient for two years, and when he died suddenly (through no fault of the theirs), there were no condolences, no concern, no phone call, no card from anyone. We spent thousands of dollars at the clinic and visited monthly or more. I notified them when it happened, and we had just been to the office the week before. Dr. Taketa never called or emailed; no one from the office reached out in any way. While the medical care here is good, it is beyond disappointing that they care so little about their patients and families.Update six weeks later - Dr Taketa personally made a donation in our dogs name to fund research to help treat conditions our dog had. It was a very generous and thoughtful way to honor him. We really appreciate her care.

Everyone here is very friendly & efficient, Dr Muse is the most informative & caring vet we've ever encountered. They give all the treatment options & let you decide what route you want to take without pressuring you to spend extra like a lot of vets do.

Unfortunately it has been a very disappointing and expensive experience here. Almost every visit, I have to repeat the same information from our first visit including medication they keep recommending that my cat has had bad reactions too. Our vet, Dr. Muse, is rarely available and when I needed a prescription food that the vet here told me to get, the front office wouldn’t approve the petco request and made it very difficult since they didn’t have it in stock themselves. I called just last week because they had sent misinformation that was not up to date to my current vet and when I called they said my vet was in the office and would call back, which he never did. This is a common theme within my experience. Seeing all these good reviews surprised me, maybe they focus more on dogs. I hate writing bad reviews and this might be the first, but it has been the worst vet experience I’ve ever had.

My dog Bettie had a skin situation going on for several years, and was having it treated regularly with cortisone injections at my primary veterinarian, but it wasn't addressing the underlying issue. I found out about the Animal Dermatology Clinic, and decided to see if they might be able to find out the real cause of her skin problem. Very quickly they determined the cause, came up with a plan, and Bettie has had no more problems. Everyone there is wonderful - competent, patient, and so nice. I feel so fortunate to have their clinic so close by, and have recommended them often. I initially thought having to park on the street would be an issue, but it hasn't been a problem. If your pet has skin problems, do the right thing, go to Animal Dermatology Clinic. Your pet deserves it!

I want say Thank you Dr Muse for taking care of my little Bear. You went above and beyond any of the internal medicine doctors and oncologist to find out what exactly was going on with my baby. I love that you always kept me up to date with all his tests that he had whether it was the office calling, email or text. I am so greatful to such an amazing doctor look after my baby. You're staff is awesome. Thank you all!!
