Last night we had to help our 18 yr old cat cross over the rainbow bridge. Our doctor was Dr. Mark McDaniel & he was the kindest, most caring vet we have ever encountered. We have been coming to Ambassador for more than 15 years and have always received amazing service, but Dr. Mark cares deeply about the animals in his care, that is so obvious. We can't
thank him enough for his kindness!!

Great service. Every employee is kind and amiable. A dog bit my dog; brought him here since I sensed something was wrong after his previous surgery. According to the veterinarian at the Ambassador, dead tissue was growing and required additional treatment. They collaborate with me to guarantee that my dog receives all the care it need. I highly endorse this place. Every client has been there for years and is really satisfied. I trust the Ambassador Long Beach Veterinary Hospital.

I can’t say enough good things about this pet hospital. Over the years, the vets treated both my dog and cat with exceptional care and compassion. When we had to say goodbye to our beloved dog, the vet provided not only professional care but also genuine comfort and support during that difficult time. Fast forward a few years, we adopted a stray cat, who developed an upper respiratory infection. The staff went above and beyond, fitting her in for an immediate appointment. Dr. Michael was outstanding—knowledgeable, friendly, and reassuring. When our cat got sick again, Dr. Anthony took over and was equally remarkable. He was welcoming and kind, and kept my family updated on my cat’s health. This team of veterinarians is truly exceptional, and I wouldn’t trust my pets with anyone else. I’m so incredibly grateful for their dedication and care!!

I am super grateful for this vet!!! Words cannot describe how amazing Dr. Michael and the staff here have been, seriously. They have consistently gone above and beyond in helping my dog Maui and I with her chronic health issues stemming from a broken leg when she was a puppy. So much so that after moving to another state, I have driven back twice to get her treated here at ambassador!
Maui is my world and i feel she is always treated with love and respect here, and they do the best they can to make her comfortable. I am not normally an emotional person, but was very emotional dropping her off for surgery and couldn't contain my tears and anxiety. Dr Michael comforted me and assured me he would do his best to make sure she was taken care of, which meant everything to me. He called me just before and after her procedure that same night to keep me updated on the process and assure me that she did well.
These folks have seen thousands of animals, but the level of compassion and care they showed me and my dog on an individual level meant so much to me. Dr. Michael is also a stand up guy with a lot of humility and kindness. His staff is always friendly and makes my dog feel as comfortable as possible in their hands despite being nervous to be there. It meant a lot to me that the staff often complimented my dog on how well behaved and sweet she is. It makes me feel like they see in her what I see myself, which means so much to me and makes me feel more comfortable leaving her in their hands.
It is going to be a long road to recovery for my dog, but I am so grateful to everyone at ambassador for their help and compassion. THANK YOU!!!!

Almost 14 years of service and I am never disappointed. Ambassador place has been my peace of mind for my pet since I rescued her. Thank you for supporting me and my best friend for so many years. Financially, they have supported me and when I need services to travel they always accommodate my pet, or when my pet needs to convalesce they are there to support me, or if I simply need respite support because aging demanding pets can be stressful, it is Ambassador and it’s 5-Star staff that rescues me. I love this place.

I brought my dog Daisy for severe dental issues. I was very worried about her, but Dr. Michael Shenouda was very impressive. He took the time to go over everything in detail about the procedure and the bloodwork that was done. And he did a great job with Daisy’s mouth. This is my first encounter with him. The front office staff were also very helpful and kind. I was not impressed with the previous doctors here, so I stopped bringing my dogs, but I think I will start bringing them again! ?

I took my little dog Daisy to get her teeth pulled because she had severe dental issues, and I was worried because She is very old, but Dr. Michael Shenouda was impressive. He took the time to discuss everything with me in detail, and was kind and patient with my questions. And, he did a great job with my dog's mouth. First time I encountered this Dr, and I like him a lot. I stopped bringing my dogs here because I wasn't impressed with the other docs or the front desk service, but this time the front desk staff were also very helpful and kind. I think I will start bringing my dogs back here again

We had such a positive experience with Dr. Shenouda and his pet hospital. Our beloved cat Mowzy developed a sudden infection and they were able to fit us in on short notice. Dr. Shenouda and his team were incredibly compassionate and caring, making sure to address Mowzy's needs promptly and with great attention to detail. We felt reassured and supported throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Dr. Shenouda and his pet hospital for their exceptional care and dedication to their furry patients. Thank you for taking such amazing care of Mowzy!

It took me almost two months to write my review because I've been having mixed feelings. For one, I think it's important for me to point out a very significant distinction between our vet and the receptionist staff. They will be reviewed completely differently. REVIEW FOR OUR VET: I would DIE for my bunny. After being disappointed and let down by other vets throughout the years, I am relieved and excited to say we are forever grateful to Dr. Miena for successfully getting us through a tough milestone in our bunny's life: getting spayed. He was extremely attentive, helpful, and went above and beyond to reach out to us by phone, several times, before the big day because I was nervous and had lots of questions. In fact I couldn't sleep and cried to my boyfriend about how nervous I was the night before (keep reading to find out why). Luckily, the day of, he immediately comforted us and informed us of his extensive background and knowledge with exotic animals and the pre- and post operative steps necessary to take, which in turn laid any other lingering doubts to rest. He even told us to bring food and hay for her on the big day. The process was very fast and a month later our baby is happy and thriving meaning it was a huge success! REVIEW FOR RECEPTION: Now here's where my review gets negative...but will not impact my overall review because her surgery was a success and we've been treated very well throughout the whole process. The reason why I was freaking out so much is because after getting our initial exam...all of the receptionists (not the vet) told us to fast our bunny for an entire 24 hours with NO FOOD OR WATER a day before the surgery. It was even instructed on our paperwork and receipt to take home. However, if you know even a little bit about bunnies then you know that fasting them is extremely FATAL to bunnies because their guts need to constantly move, otherwise it could cause GI Stasis, a prolonged healing process, or even DEATH!! And although bunnies could possibly survive GI stasis, I highly doubt her chances would be too high after a big surgery like this, plus we've lost a bunny from GI stasis as well so you can imagine how upset, traumatized and concerned we were upon hearing this. Just so you know, this is a red flag to hear which is why I had my doubts and even cried a night before and the day of. Mind you, it was reception who said this, not our vet thank goodness. I called back several times before the big day to confirm this with other receptionists, and unfortunately, each one agreed with their colleague's misinformed, DANGEROUS instructions without first confirming with our vet. THE ONLY REASON WE DID NOT FAST HER IS BECAUSE WE GOOGLED IT THANK GOD!!!! Reception also mistakenly charged us for an Elizabethan collar to go around her neck, but our vet specifically stated she can't wear one because she's a bunny...Thus, we got credits put into our account. However, I've called about 15 times throughout the two months since, and each time they said they'll "have our accountant send a check to your address." But in hindsight, it's been almost TWO months and reception failed to even manage that. And whenever I call they say they still haven't sent it yet. On the positive side, they've always been very kind and patient with us, helped us get in touch with our vet directly, and even gave us a free recheck twice which was unexpected and very kind of them. But I wish there was better communication between the vet and reception to avoid spreading dangerous misinformation to clients. I also wish they were trained on their client's exotic animals before charging us the wrong thing, or before instructing us as if we had a dog or cat. CONCLUSION: We loved our vet Dr. Miena so much that we've made him our primary vet. Aside from that, I think all vets have problems with their reception and I understand it's not easy, but I can't overlook the check never being sent to us after two months, being charged the wrong

Staff were friendly and helpful. I had a morning appointment for my rabbit and it was my first visit to this location. I was searching for a vet that handles exotic pets and found this place. The vet was efficient and insightful on my rabbits help. Will be visiting in the future for my rabbit's health.

Brought my green cheek conure here to get a nail and beak trim since he was going borderline Dino bird on me. I called in ahead of time to make an appointment and they had plenty of spots available! I showed up maybe 10 minutes early since I'm a stickler for time and they had him trimmed and ready to go within 5 minutes! Parking here is a bit compact, but it's not horrible and the staff here is very kind! This will be my frequent spot to get Mango his trims and such.
