Had the pleasure of meeting Dan, who I presume is the owner and operator of this little shop. A friend needed to update his fishing license, so we popped in, and I'm so glad we did. Dan was extremely friendly and helpful. I had my German Shepherd outside on the leash and Dan insisted I bring him in. I had my 6 and 4 year old boys with the intention of finding somewhere to fish for trout. Dan helped me add to my gear and shared some places to go. He knew lots of places to go and what the fish were biting and it was true. So this is more of a "Thank You" to Dan. Than a review because sure enough, with the help of his guidance, we caught a beautiful rainbow trout! Thanks again Dan!

It’s not often you meet someone as awesome as Dan! Stopped in on my way to try and recreate a fishing trip my dad had with me for my kids. Dan listened to what I was looking for, set me up, and let me in on some local spots! He also had some awesome stories! 10/10 will be back!

Gentleman needs to have a bit more customer service. Bought a 10 day fishing license on Thursday and didn't explain season opens on Saturday.

Spent all morning fishing in the area with no luck. Stopped by here and the gentleman behind the counter recommended a specific fly and tactic - landed a fish immediately afterward (at the same spot where I was having no success prior).

High Sierra is a great place to stock up on fishing gear and get the latest fishing tips/tricks for the area from Dan. My family has been going to this store for years and this is always our first stop in Lone Pine before we go fishing. Dan always seems to know what's hitting well in the local spots and what the trout are going for. We always take his advice and walk away with a few trout given his recommendations. Store is mostly fishing gear but they also have some cool Lone Pine clothing/hats for sale along with some outdoor/camping gear. Believe it's also only debit/cash. If you're in town at night be sure to check out the old neon sign atop the shop. Thing looks amazing all lit up at night!

High Sierra outfitters is my go to for info, fly fishing and camping supplies in the Lone Pine area. The owner, Dan is amazing and his knowledge of the area is the best. If you’re just visiting or new to the area, make High Sierra your first stop. Five stars every time!

Been here a few times and always leave happier than when I came in. The gentlemen behind the counter is extremely helpful in answering questions about fishing, fishing areas nearby, and fishing gear. Tons of knowledge and very friendly and honest. If im in the area, I make it a point to stop by and by at least some stickers or something to help support when I am not fishing.

Stopped in here to beef up our fishing supply kit and Dan was super friendly and helpful. He gave us some really great recommendations. This will definitely be our go to stop whenever we fish in the Eastern Sierras!
