I called earlier today to ask if they had just for dogs renal support. The man on the phone said that they had plenty. I asked if they needed a prescription. He said no I didn't. I told him on the phone that didn't make sense every where asks for one for that type of food. He said petco didn't need one. Drove 45 minutes and At the register I needed a prescription. They were super rude and No one knew what was going on. My vet tried calling it in they said no. I never ever will be a petco customer again. Having a sick dog is stressful enough without dealing with this,

I came in the store right before closing and asked if I could get a fish, mind you I shop here frequentl. The nice lady at register said ya and then as I'm by the tanks the fat manager with glasses comes up and tells me they can't sell it to me cause there under staffed and it's too late to get fish that you shouldn't drop fish at night. complete lame excuse they could get crickets but not fish? I'll definitely do my shopping elsewhere the manager on duty has the worst customer service, it's worth driving 30 min to santa maria to avoid even dealing with someone like that. The last time I went in he tried saying the same thing but the lady working volunteered to help me but after this visit i wont be going in to that store again and ill make sure my family that all goes there as well makes the change and starts visiting the santa maria store. they all agreed. that store sucks and i highly recommend staying clear of that place. i give it a -1 on the 0-10 score.

No longer can carts go out to cars. You have to bring car to door and they will put your purchases in it. Hopefully they do not have a long line waiting to check out while you are waiting for your purchase to come out. Store aisles blocked by merchandise to be stocked. Had to try three ways to get to the dog food. Will be using their Santa Maria store in the future.

Customer Service at checkout. There is particular older gentleman that works there is extremely rude. I will but my pets products online no more in person. Which is sad Lompoc doesn't have enough retail choices.

I took my dogs to them several years ago hoping things would change. I've been taking my last dog there for the last few appointments and they've been fine. However, today my poor elderly dog who is going blind and deaf (almost 13) went in for a grooming and was there for 4 hours. I called multiple time with no answer to check on her. Finally went to the store and the told they needed about 1 more hour. I can't even believe they would make an excuse and say its busy. I don't care how busy it is. Clearly they were overbooked. And if they were overbooked they needed to say so. I would've never drop my dog off knowing it was going to take over four hours.

We were interested in adopting a second green cheek conure, we were ready with all the supplies plus another large aviary that we needed to roll out of storage. We were beginning the process of adopting the bird, with 2 very friendly and helpful associates. Then the "lead" cashier John yells at one of the younger associates saying he promised the bird to another couple, yet they do not hold any animal for any reason. He then brought the other couple interested in the bird over to us causing a very awkward and tense stand-off with them pleading their pity story to us. John informed us we must have the cage set up prior to purchasing the bird, and then we would have to see who can get it set up faster and come back, we then left. John was extremely unprofessional and rude because he made the mistake of promising something he should not have. The way he spoke to the other employees was appalling, he needs to work on his communication skills with both customers and co-workers or be removed from the floor immediately. P.S. The other two associates were truly exceptional employees even with this unfortunate situation they carried themselves in the utmost professional way!

This review is for the customer service from a cashier. NOT at all for the groomers, they are alway polite, professional and great with the pups. However... for a bit now there has been a employee who I've only ever seen at the cash registers. Sometimes he acknowledges your presence, sometimes you must get his attention. Heavy set white guy with glasses named John. Usually he's either whining about some pain he's having or how tired he is. Today I was unlucky enough to be standing behind a customer paying for something when he started berating an employee doing something near his area. Evidently the other employee had moved something that he thought belonged to someone else, but in fact, belonged to John. The other employee was apologetic, stating he did not realize that belong to John. But John would not let up on him. I asked him if he thought maybe there was a better time to admonish someone than when you have customers in front of you, his reply was " it hasn't stopped the flow of anything." I told him that it was making others uncomfortable and probably should stop. I'm afraid I was very unprofessional when I gave up promoting CS and I called him an a**hole. He immediately became sugary and disgustingly condescending. In an attempt, I guess, to "kill me with kindness." I keep reminding myself that there is a labor shortage but this store dropped to the bottom of the barrel for this guy. Sorry for the length

Went in today to get something for my dog and the person at the cashier just stared out... Had to get his attention. He seemed like he was either overworked... Overtired... Or just plain rude.

The pet manager with the funny colored clown hair wouldn't sell me a gold fish because she wants to see pictures of my tank and asking a ton of questions just like the police trying to corner you, no more petco for me I'll just order my fish on line and avoid the hassle, thank you very much and have a nice day.

This is, without a doubt, the saddest Petco I've ever been in. Empty shelves. 2/3 of the lights are off. You would think they were out of business. And given their limited selection they probably should be.

I don't know what the hell is going on. In Your Groomimg Salon, but there seems to be only one competent person in the salon and that's Brianna. Everyone else seems to be slacking and do not care about animal care or customer service. I'm absolutely disgusted by the service of the other individuals.. if this is not fixed I will never bring my dogs in unless it's with Brianna. She seems to have a special view in animal care that I believe is important. How are these other individuals not Fired. Gross. If I could put negative stars I would but Brianna is the only reason I didn't..

Horrendous customer service. I went in to buy what I needed, walked up to the counter and there was two employees bickering with each other about another interaction they had with a previous customer. When I walked up to check out the cashier didn't even say hi or anything. Literally just scanned my items and said "what's your phone number" I told him I already entered it and he's like "k". I checked out and he didn't say one word. All he said during this whole interaction was "what's your phone number and k",Not have a good day or anything. Atrocious customer service and VERY unprofessional.

Scheduled Appointment for 3 month old Miniature Schnauzer on 7/29/2021.I explained to the girl on the phone that he does not have second series of shots yet, but I would like to get his grooming done. I asked if they were able to do it without his second series of shots, I was told yes, not a problem, So I reserved the 8:30 AM 8/7/2021 appt. Show up at 8:30 AM, the front door is closed, but unlocked, so I open it, go into the groomers area and am greeted by some guy sitting behind the counter. He asks for vaccine records of rabies and parvo. I explain that the girl I spoke with said i did not need to have the second series of shots, that is why I scheduled the appt. This clown ask if I knew the name of the girl who told me that. NO, but he works there and knows who works with him right? Get your s*** together groomers of petco. I wasted my morning dealing with inept employees who also told me that my dog should not even be out without second shots. FU. The dog is around other dogs in my yard and neighborhood.

Brought my dog in at 9:30 for my appt, they said I needed his vaccination paper which the lady I spoke with on the phone said I didn't need his paper, a lady that was there at the same time was told the same, waited another 1/2 hr because my vet verified his shots , now it's 10am and is told 2 to four hrs for his grooming, showed back up at 1pm and was told my groomer went to lunch before finishing my dog, are you kidding, no way to run a business

I came here on 03.14.21 and was greeted by a wonderful employee who helped me greatly. I don't remember his name but it was around 12:45pm. I needed a cat condo for my new kittens. I found the perfect one and this young gentleman helped me out to my car and loaded the cat condo. I felt bad that I didn't have any cash because I would of tipped him. Thank you sir for helping me.
