I've had my 86 Volvo serviced here a few times before I left the area but Bob knows what he's doing, which is always a good thing. I was having problems getting my car into gear which meant the car would still run but would've been overworking her and burning more gasoline than necessary. With the few possible solutions presented to me, one would have been terribly costly and time consuming while the other was simple enough and affordable, which of course, I went with the latter. Bob managed to squeeze me in and take care of my vehicle and my only regret (of many) about leaving town is not having my car serviced by him one last time.

I just have to say Bob, the guy that owns George's Old Volvos is the best Volvo mechanic around? I have been taking my "older Volvo" to him for a few years now, he always knows exactly what to do, he is a master mechanic with a layed back sense of humor...he is always busy because he really knows his stuff? Best mechanic in all of Lompoc if you own a Volvo, guaranteed he will take care of it and point you in the right direction if he can't. A real straight shooter, I would recommend him to anyone who owns an "older Volvo"....???????

Bob is extremely knowledgeable about any Volvo any age... I have a 2003 Volvo v40 that had an electrical problem he's the only one out of four technicians that figured it out.....

Very talented young man running the place. He knows more than anyone else in town about Volvos. He is honest and his prices are very fair, usually less than half what Volvo charges. He did my timing belt and a new radiator on my xc 90 and he used the same parts that Volvo uses (Nissin radiators for example) but for a fraction of the cost of the dealer. Over the last 20 year's he has built a strong reputation for having integrity and other mechanics in town have referred me to him several times. If you own a Volvo, take it to him. You'll be glad you did!

He got the job done but when he replaced my radiator he didnt fill my coolant. So with me thinking its in the clear I do a 70 mile drive not knowing why my engine continued to over heat. You'll think its common sense

All I can say is Thank God for Bob! I cannot tell you how many times he has worked on my ‘96 Volvo and kept it running at 321,000+ miles! He's honest, fair and does great work and is sooo nice too boot, the perfect mechanic. I honestly do not know what I would do without him. Just don't ever leave Lompoc, Bob, because I'd probably have to go with you.😠I recommend Bob and George's Old Volvo 1000% ðŸ‘ðŸ»ðŸ˜‰ðŸ’™

We love Bob. We got a 17 year old Volvo with the predictable problems and Bob not only fixes them but instills a sense of calm and confidence. His prices are fair and his work is solid!

The owner of George's, Bob, is extremely knowledgeable at fixing complex problems that may arise with an older Volvo. He is always fair with pricing which is much appreciated. Bob also provides detailed explanations of what is happening so if one is not mechanically knowledgeable Bob takes his time to explain things clearly. In summary, when Bob fixes it... everything works that way it's supposed to work.
