Been taking my 1983 Toyota pickup to Perrys for 20 years.
The carburetor finally died and needed to be replaced.

Who can find a 1983 carburetor and who knows how to replace and tune it?

Wally has helped us our with a couple of our Chryslers and has been above and beyond helpful. The prices are fair and if they can fix the car for a better price than quoted you keep the difference. We went in for a smog and Wally offered the kids bottled water, and we were in and out in 20 mins. with our smog certificate. I highly recommend this shop for repairs and smog checks. Thank you Wally!

In my opinion, this place tried to scam me. In February my car broke down and took here only because it’s in walking distance to my home. They diagnosed it as a bad coil on cylinder 4 and recommended to replace all coils. This place is also a carquest only parts. They make 40-50% on selling parts. Then they charge for labor. Selling a coil for $200 each and they pay $120 for is more money made. What they didn’t know is I just had the coils all replaced 6 months ago. I had to pay $158 for this diagnostic. I took home, I have a diagnostic tool. I found code of 304, which is misfire on cylinder 4. I moved the spark plug to cylinder 3. Guess what, the code followed to cylinder 3, code 303. Looked closer at spark plug and found a crack. Replaced all spark plug. Car like new again. Also, they reported spark plug ok. Look at invoice attached. I feel like they were going to charge me for 4 new coin + labor, then replace the bad spark plug. Replacing coil would make them more money then a spark plug. This is why, in my option I caught them in a scam. I called to get my money back. They were running to refund me. Watch out. Reporting this to Automotive and Repair.
P.S. They also didn’t put the bolt back. Left it in the windshield. Picture below.

Expensive. Sub par work...Charged for and didn't solve an oil leak in a toyota matrix.Just a few days ago I went in for an oil change on my Toyota tundra and asked them to take a look and try to fix my cigarette lighter charger for the phone.They filled the oil to the below minimum (no oil leak on the truck) and charged 78 dollars to "look" at the charger. They said they didn't have a part in to "fix" it...I later topped the oil off and put in a fast charger in the truck. Fast charger works great now.They charged 125 for the oil change and 78 dollars for nothing.You basically pay over price for a headache.A big bummer because I was trying to save time since I'll be going out of town the next day.If yall see this and make it right I'll delete this. But until then I'll warn others...

Got my car in, took care of multiple things including an electrical issue most places would not do and in just a couple hours. Fast and the bill came out to way lower than estimated, proving they are also fair in their pricing. I would definitely take my vehicle back to them.

Warning to all long time customers of Perry’s. I found out the last time I was in that Mike sold ownership of the place which means prices have changed and what was free is no longer unfortunately. They charge $68 for a safety inspection now and it used to be free when I did an oil change. I also noticed that my oil change went up $10 more than usual. Unfortunately I’m going to have to try and window shop my business elsewhere for my car. It sucks that Mike had to sell the place. Oh well.

took the car in for a new water reservoir tank got it home it was still leaking returned it and they complained about it should have been done right the first time I will never take my car there again do not recommend. Could of ruined motor. NO STAR.

My windshield washers quit working. Without looking under the hood Perrys gave me what i felt was a fair estimate of cost to replace the pump. When they started they found it to only be a broken hose. I was out of there for a lot less money and a lot sooner. They could easily have installed a pump and a new hose and I would have none the wiser.. And they are courteous too!. Amazin. My go to place from now on. Lee Fisher. Lompoc.
