“As a sprinter owner, you get very nervous as to who works on your vehicle. I wish I could provide this guy 10 stars. Juan is a wonderful trustworthy person, an excellent Mercedes Sprinter specific certified mechanic and bottom line, I can’t say enough about how appreciative I was for his short notice help he provided as we drove from Portland to Baja… He’s only open after 6:30pm weekdays and Saturdays after 7am. I would drive from FAR away to have him work on my sprinter in the future.”

“Camarena's became my recent favorite car repair service in Lompoc. I had taken my Toyota FJ Cruiser into a Toyota dealership for its routine maintenance, and they said I needed several other repairs and gave me a quote of $3,000. I took their recommendations to Camarena's and asked for a quote for those repairs. The repairs at Camarena's were $1,000 cheaper and they did a fantastic job. Since that time, we have needed several emergency repairs on the two vehicles we own and even though they were super busy they have always been able to fit us in with a quick turnaround.Thank you and know that you are appreciated. “I was in Lompoc the other day out of storage locker and as I was getting ready to leave I was told I had a screw in my front tire , how convenient the tire shop was about 600 feet away . Camarena’s tires the technician pulled the screw out, put some soap and water on the tire and it was all good. These guys were fast and efficient very friendly service.”

“I called in the morning and asked about getting a front brake job done. Gentleman on the phone let me know the price and how long it would take to complete. After about 20 minutes, I took it down to the shop and met the Gentleman named Francisco. Very kind and respectful. Said it would take about 2 hours and that after our conversation, he got the parts from the auto parts store when we had hung up. Started the job about 11:45 am, had my car back at 1:30pm. Great service and even gave me recommendations with prices. Will be going back. Keeping our dollars local.”
“I went to take my grandfathers car in cause it was having problems running. They fixed it and we haven’t had issues with it since. This was 3 weeks ago. I would recommend them. Very nice people and customer service.”

“I too am surprised by the negative comments about this shop, I have been coming here for years especially for the problems more than just a minor nuisance. I have come to the Automotive Service Center on a few occasions when repair attempts were unsuccessful at other repair shops. Mark is very straight forward and does not sugar coat the problems so don't expect a fairytale. With that said I have found that he always addresses the issues, and so far, successfully. Being a mechanic myself when I was younger gives me enough knowledge to know when I am being BS'd. And that lady behind the desk. I don't know where she received her training, possibly years of experience working in and around the repair shop. She is actually very knowledgeable, and when she says something, it would be unwise to blow off her message. I had error codes in the OBD2 that had to be reset which requires a period of driving in a particular way. After a couple hundred miles (mainly short trips back and forth to work) not all the required monitors had cleared that would allow a smog check to pass. After that I took the advice I was provided by that lady behind the desk and took a trip down to Camarillo and back. The monitors cleared somewhere on the return trip home and I was able to have the smog check completed just prior to the period allowed for registration renewal.”

“Everyone at this dealership is AMAZING! Trevor was such an amazing salesman! We were nervous and he really helped alleviate all our fears. He was able to get us exactly what we wanted! In addition everyone else was amazing. Just today we had to go back to turn in some last min stuff and another sales rep that didn't have anything to do with us saw us and greeted us with a smile and opened the door for us. We live in Santa Maria but will ALWAYS make the extra drive to Sunset Auto Center just for the service. Great Job guys!”
“Alternator went bad on a Saturday night up in solvang in 2021. These mobile mechanics picked up my vehicle and towed it to their shop and repaired it over night by replacing the alternator. My car was ready by morning. Now 3 years later I contacted them because I thought the alternator was going bad. I had it diagnosed in my hometown and it turned out to be still good. In the meantime they had contacted my local auto parts store and provided them the warranty information for a part exchange incase I needed it. Great customer service! Would recommend them especially if you're in a jam like I was.”
