Came on a Saturday morning to use the self service kiosk. Thankfully it was working but it couldn’t read the dimensions of the box correctly. It was trying to say my 11x9x6 box was about 23 inches. I was able to enter the measurements myself and get the postage. Then I found out the package drop box was locked closed. I paid for postage but couldn’t send my package. What am I paying for? May as well eliminate the entire drop box, kiosk, and lobby arrangement to cut costs. Save us all the wasted expense. Do better USPS.

I had several (30-35) prepaid bubble mailers that just needed to get dropped off, no receipt needed. Huge line, no where to drop it off, tried the self serve bin but it was locked. Finally after waiting 20 minutes in line the lady didn’t want to take them. “Why does the return address say Redondo?” Because I live there. I work here. “Well why don’t you take them there?? You shouldn’t be dropping mail with that return address in Lomita!” I was dumbfounded and didn’t know what to say. At this point I decided that I agreed and it was probably best since I need these packages to actually get delivered. Told her to have a nice day and will never set foot there again.

This place sucks! After being in line for half hr they didn't want to put 2 inches of tape on my small bix to close it? Seriously how cheap can they be?!!!!!

I have had very important out going mail several times that never made it, nor were they returned to me, even hand delivered to the post office myself. I had a piece of mail returned to me twice with no explanation why. Worst service ever. I am afraid everyday if my mail, in or out going will be delivered or 'lost'

It seems that the employees have zero customer service. I have had many bad experiences at the Lomita Post Office. However my experiences at the Harbor City Post Office are always positive.

[Review #759]2023-045I couldn't remember why I came to this US Post Office in Lomita when there's a perfectly good one down the street about 1/2-mi. from my house in Torrance off Monterey St. However, I did remember why I visited this location... I needed my expired passport to be renewed & we had already booked our flights which departs in 47 days (08/12/19). Gulp! I had to pay a $60 surcharge for the expedited service.It was hump day (06/26/19) with less than 2 hours before closing. I had all my paperwork & expired passport, but wasn't organized with it & still needed to write a check. When you're frazzled, it would be nice to have some reassurance from the postal worker that I have everything in order. She wasn't friendly or all that helpful, but I got everything in the envelope & paid extra for expedited service. Sigh... when I was kid, I really enjoyed quick chats with our mail carriers & looked forward to our letters & packages. I always get a "hello" in, especially during summers when I'm not in school; things have changed a lot since.In any event, I received my new passport the weekend before our trip with 4 days to spare. Whew... talk about the 11th hour! o_O This was our last international trip before the COVID-19 lockdown. We were fortunate for this trip because it was the last time my kids saw their great grandmother in person before she passed on (RIP mormor). Grateful for the speedy return of my passport, but wish the personnel were a bit friendlier.

The phone number says please enter your remote access number. If you don't enter the number they want it hangs up on you. I have no idea what the remote access number is. I need to talk to somebody before I drive all the way there to go to the passport fair. it is a first come first serve basis and then they close it at 1 PM. Don't think I'm going to try to go there and get disappointed. They need to fix her number.

I love this Post Office because they saved my credit card when I left it in the kiosk and I picked it up the NEXT DAY safe and sound! And everytime I have gone there, people are always nice & helpful... I don't get the "bad reviews " either! Plus the wait time is almost zero! I would recommend this post office.

Terrible service by arrogant and incompetent employee.I went there for my passport application with all the required documents and the lady in charge (Sue) was trying to find mistakes on my application form to reprimand me instead of helping me by simply fixing them according to the documents I had with me.I will go to different places next time and recommend other people not to go there.

This post office needs new workers!Belinda needs to find a new job where she doesn't have to work with the public.She was extremely rude to a young person and there's just no excuse!!!!The manger was awesome!!! She explained everything Took her time amazing the only saving grace for Lomita's Post office!!!!Please hire some New people!!!!

I had a horrible/traumatic experience literally just 30mins ago. I couldn't stay in line anymore and had to go outside and burst in tears. The Mexican old lady at the front desk was rude. Please Lomita Post office hire people who has a good costumer service or at least trained them. I was just trying to ask her a quick question in a politely manner and shouldn't be treated that way. Wish I can give 0 star for that Lady!

I went to this post office because I rented a box for all my mails to be safely mailed but today 4/26/2023 I checked my mail box and no package arrived, I again tracked my package and it said delivered but nothing in my PO BOX so then I complained to the so called supervisor but she insisted that her clerk placed it in my box. They lie and lie to the expense of the customers. What is the use of renting a very expensive PO BOX when USPS can't even mail our items/packages to the right BOX and lies. Horrible experience if only I can give zero star I would and for those saying nice things about this Post office is that they haven't experience what most customers losing and/or not receiving their packages.

I've been in many post offices and this is the first time I see employees that are friendly, efficient and who love their job and I'm talking about a male Filipino person and the samoan lady, very nice people, thanks guys and jeep it cool as always
