Agustin's Exotic Birds and Reptiles
2408 Lomita Blvd a, LomitaIn 2021, my daughter was gifted a turtle who she named Shelly. Two weeks ago, my daughter noticed Shelly’s eye swollen. I contacted online reptile veterinarians who informed me that Shelly was Vitamin A deficient and could benefit from a new light and a Vitamin A shot. They informed me to take her into a reptile veterinary near me to get her the shot. I contacted alleged veterinarians who specialized in reptiles; I took Shelly to the one who sounded more competent than the others. They couldn’t tell me much. I asked about the type of tortoise we had, the age, and confirmation of gender, they couldn’t tell me anything. They gave me eye drops and it took me to inform them of the Vitamin A deficiency and request the shot. They literally said “Oh yeah, that sounds about right.” They didn’t have the shot readily available so I had to bring her back days later. Eye drops for 10 days, eye remained swollen and now she wasn’t eating, it had been 13 days and I grew impatient, hopeless, and scared which made me start looking for an alternative search for help.
I figured if reptile stores exist, surely there must be a specialist who checks on the reptiles and knows what to do, right? Wrong. I called three reptile stores before Agustin’s and they apologized and told me that they sale them, but really do not know how to treat them in matters in my case. I called Agustin’s Exotic Birds and Reptiles and they were so helpful. They invited me to bring Shelly so that they can check it out and I did just that.
The owner Agustin was present, took Shelly and immediately began to assess her. First, he confirmed that Shelly was a “he” teaching me how to tell the difference between male and female and was able to confirm the specific type of tortoise “Russian tortoise.” He educated me on the bedding he requires and the light needed to gain his strength back. He was able to clean the eye, remove the puss and place ointment on its eye. Additionally, Agustin was able to get Shelly to eat a little bit. He invited me to bring him back in two days to further asses his health.
Unfortunately, Shelly passed away one day later, but I’m so grateful to have met Agustin, his passion, expert knowledge, and dedication to reptiles and birds is commendable. I kick myself for not thinking to look into a reptile store sooner, but now I know where I will go if my children ever decide that they’re ready for another reptile or bird.
Shelly was apart of our family and Agustin treated my concern seriously and with care.
I donated all of Shelly’s accessories and food to Agustin as I know it will go to good use.
Thank you Agustin, our family appreciates you!

Pet Grooming
Soggy Paws Pet Grooming
24017 Narbonne Ave suite j, LomitaI have resided with many furkids over the years, and once we found Soggy Paws we KNEW our hunt for the perfect groomer was over. Jessica and her team treat my fur kids as their own. My current fellow is an adopted old man by the name of Goober. A funnier old fellow you will never meet, and the crew treats him like the king he is. He goes in a scruffy boy and comes out looking like a King. I highly, highly recommend Soggy Paws.

Happy Tails Dog Grooming
25220 Narbonne Ave REAR, LomitaBoth people I came into contact with were phenomenal! They are so nice and explained everything really well. I felt so safe leaving my baby in their hands! I asked for him to be shaved because unfortunately I had not been brushing him as I should and he came out looking adorable! I am so happy to have found a new groomer in the neighborhood. I already recommended this place to my family. Great experience, wonderful staff!

Pierson Lisa a DVM
LomitaI switched my cats to her homemade diet and my extra grumpy 9 year old cat is much happier. She's had the zoomies and playing more than usual. I realize now that the commercial food was the issue and I think she just had stomach problems. No more occasional diarrhea and the litter boxes smell much better now. And because I was feeding a higher quality wet food diet to 3 cats, it was extremely expensive and this is about 75% cheaper in cost.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
Honu Poke and Grill
1824 Lomita Blvd Unit A, LomitaLoved the food here! We ordered the beef ribs, grilled salmon, and a couple of poke dishes. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and SO flavorful; even our young kid liked them instantly. Maybe they smoke the ribs a little too. Whatever this shop does it's "broke da mouth" good. The salmon was delicious. The poke flavors were amazing. We even liked the mac salad and I normally don't enjoy that. Even details down to dressing the rice with dried seaweed was appreciated by us all.
My wife was super happy to be able to sample so many poke flavors as she was ordering. This is our new "go to" Hawaiian place because it's some of the best; even compared to on the islands. Also, the prices are quite reasonable. We can't wait to go back.

Mc Geady's Pub (UNDER CONSTRUCTIONS)
1853 Pacific Coast Hwy, LomitaThis particular Irish pub, among the many in Prague, is clearly above its competitors. Great beers and drinks at normal prices, nice environment, enjoyable music - often quite decent live/karaoke! All the personnel was efficient and polite, but Eve really stood out for her professionalism and pure sweetness, creating a positive sentiment to the guest! Congratulations to all members of the team!

Pizza Kraft at Project Barley
2306 Pacific Coast Hwy, LomitaWe love pizza craft, it is so fun to go to the brewery, listen to some live music and have a great pizza all in one place! We always get the 86th St. and add either pepperoni or sausage, it is excellent and a must, that is what both of my pictures are of! It is unique, very saucy, and very tasty!

Eboshi Ramen Bar
2383 Lomita Blvd Ste 116, LomitaYeah this place has the best Ramen. Of course I am a white dude so I might not know what the best ramen is, but I have been to a few spot in south bay. Te tin tin man here is the best and the blue beer they have here is exceptional. And for added bonus, their is a cute Asian girl with red hair that will serve you! I recommend!

Project Barley Brewery & Pizzeria
2308 Pacific Coast Hwy, LomitaThis is a great local pub. They have a wonderful selection of microbrews and free live music on the weekends. We really enjoy going there for a relaxed evening of beer and music. They have a pizzeria on site if you are hungry. The pizza isn't really my style (I think you would call it New York pizza), but is still pretty good. I certainly would recommend visiting this place, especially on a weekend when they have music.

The Nook Breakfast Spot
2169 Pacific Coast Hwy, LomitaWell, we hadn't been to the Nook in a good while. Last time we came they served breakfast. Here recently they have gone to serving dinner as well. They have new hours and new menu.
The Nook is very clean and bright. Lots of seating space in and out on the patio. It is easy to get with lots of good parking around. The dinners we had were excellent! Good choice of menu items. Prices are reasonable.
