I loved my experience getting my wedding dress! I went to a lot of dress shops and was disappointed with the low cut styles but I finally found the most beautiful and unique dress for a great price. Maggie was very nice and helpful and I loved having her energy be part of my special wedding experience. She went above and beyond to make sure my dress fit perfectly while working with my tight schedule and was even able to alter another dress I had for my rehearsal dinner. I couldn't recommend Maggie enough!

Maggie is so great! She made sure I had the exact dress I wanted for my special day. She was so understanding and patient. When she says she’ll have something done, do not doubt her! She is a woman of her word. I felt so beautiful.

Maggie at House of Brides and Tuxedo is hands down the best around. She has 25 years of dress making experience, so I felt comfortable with hiring her to do my wedding dress alterations. She went above and beyond expectations and she is truly a skillful seamstress. After going to several shops in the area, I knew almost immediately that Maggie and House of Brides and Tuxedo was the place for me. Her shop is charming and she has wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses, mother of the bride/groom dresses, tuxedos/suits, plus accessories available in store to try on, sample and purchase. She took my wedding dress in several sizes at the bust, waist and hips, fixing the waist stay, she added lace details onto my over skirt and created sleeves with more lace detail for my wedding dress. I had purchased my dress at a different bridal shop many months before meeting or ever knowing about Maggie’s shop, then I lost weight. The alterations options the other shop gave me weren’t to my standards or expectations and were grossly overpriced. So I found Maggie and she quoted me much more fairly.
She always handled my items with care with much attention to detail and was very quick! After Maggie was done my dress was perfect! It fit like a glove and looked seamless, as if it never needed altering in the first place. She even handled some last minute dress alterations for my mom. She made sure we were all happy. I added a picture from the day I got the dress and a video from the wedding day.
I 10/10 recommend House of Brides and Tuxedo. Thank you Maggie for everything, I’ll definitely be a returning customer!

I’m so happy I came to Maggie, she saved my life with the last minute bridesmaid dress! She made that happen for me and I’m so excited ! Beside the fact that she is super sweet. ! I love it. I highly recommend

My daughter, along with her father and me, had a lovely experience shopping for a bridal gown at House of Brides. Maggie is so sweet, professional and knowledgeable. We felt comfortable in the private, charming atmosphere of the boutique, and found the perfect dress. We shall take it in for alterations closer to the wedding in 6 months.

I love Maggie!! 10/10 recommend her for any of your tailoring needs. She is the sweetest, most thoughtful, hardworking seamstress. She was always so welcoming and very professional. Her skills are unmatched! She helped me on such short notice to hem my wedding dress. She was very flexible and we were able to schedule visits, so she can make adjustments as needed, since she knew I would be losing weight during the weeks prior to my wedding. During our fitting appointments, she would already know how much to cut, and even accurately predict when the dress would be done. She has such a skillful eye! She finished my dress with enough time for us to make any last minute changes, but it was already so perfect. She helped me have the wedding dress of my dreams! Thank you, Maggie. You are a superwoman!

Maggie is the best. I met Maggie 13 years ago when my daughter was married (still married) for mother of the bride dress. My son is now getting married and now ordering mother of the groom dress. Recommend Maggie 100%. I have one last son who is 17 years old and can't wait to come back.

We first met Maggie 11 years ago when she did alterations to my daughter's Assembly ball gown. She did a fantastic job then. Fast forward about a month ago, my daughter and I went back and had our dresses altered (she with her wedding gown, mine my Mother of the Bride dress) and Maggie was the absolute best! She did such a great job with the alterations with great attention to detail, with such excellent craftsmanship. She has a natural gift and knew exactly what to do with our dresses, which ended up fitting perfectly. Maggie always has a smile on her face, is always so pleasant and accommodating. On our second dress fitting, we were stuck in traffic and late 40 minutes to our appointment. Anyone else would have cancelled our appointment but Maggie still took us in without any complaints, and worked with us past her closing time. I highly recommend Maggie to anyone needing wedding dress and formal gown alterations. She is the best at her craft

Maggie was very professional and friendly she helped me order several bridesmaids maid dresses, she was very patient with all the girls. When my dress came in, it needed a few alterations she was able to make the alterations and I look beautiful in the dress.
