Part 2This is still me. I just had to log into a different email to finish my story. Anyway.....Christina was very awesome about the whole thing. I hope she actually talks to Leo though. The fact that Beth acted out the way she did today was insane to me. Im glad I recorded it. Be very careful when approaching BETH. She might be having a bad day and take it out on you. She DEFINITELY does not need to be a manager. She is horrible with people.

The self checkout was fine. A coupon was used. There was no line. My Extra Care card was used.

I ended up getting a little righteous below - so let me 'lead with the lede' - everyone at this pharmacy is great and the least I can do is give them a five star review.I quite literally never write reviews, which is a bit ironic because I work in digital marketing. I'm well-versed in how a certain type of person likes to weaponize online reviews for petty revenge, a quick 'vent' or other nebulous reasons.I like to believe that these people simply do not know how damaging negative reviews can be. That's not as true for something like a CVS compared to other types of businesses (i.e. small businesses) - but I'm taking my chance for a tiny little soapbox here.Sadly, it is not a 'fair' system for the actual human beings at these businesses (yes, the ones at major chains are human beings as well) - especially at certain difficult and often thankless jobs. But, I feel compelled to write this out of appreciation for the staff at this pharmacy and, why not - all of the other people in this world who have to work a high-stress and mostly 'thankless' job.I've always thought that working at a busy pharmacy must be one of the most stressful jobs out there. A combination of long lines (at rush times at least - this pharmacy isn't TOO busy), constantly ringing phones and a whole lot of misdirected anger from customers - it sounds incredibly difficult.Consider the frequent supply chain issues (e.g. with ADHD medications the past couple years), high-demand addictive substances (and following their tight regulations AND trying to be responsible), insurance issues and all sorts of other factors at play.I very much understand the frustration with people dealing with prescription drug issues - it's a very flawed system. But again, I am always sad to see it taken out on people who are just doing their job. Blame it on 'the system' - not those who are stuck within it's confines.Anyway - it seems to me that pharmacists and techs must be saints to keep their cool and treat people decently. Going above and beyond to help customers seems amazing. So, to get to the point of this review - the staff here do indeed seem like those saints, and they have been wonderful for our family. We have a 2 year old constantly getting sick, as well as our own medication. Since day one they have been patient and helpful as we dealt with a couple of those mutually frustrating situations. Months later, they now recognize us and we feel very welcome. This will sound absurd, but our 2 year old literally asks about staff members by name sometimes.Anyway - there is my first review in recent memory. Much appreciation to the staff here!

My cousin and I were here shopping in the Beauty isle and were racially profiled. Wouldn’t recommend this location.

Lomita has been trying to give it's city a facelift with new home, townhouses, and lofts. In addition, property owners are doing their best to keep well maintained properties. Yet, here is our CVS on Narbonne. Each week the property gets more and more disgusting. Per a CVS employee, CVS corporate used to have two individuals maintaining the property. One for landscaping and the other to keep the property clean and tidy. Well, they decided to keep only one person to do both. As you can see from the photos, this person is not able to keep up either task. To CVS corporate - this is beyond disappointing and frustrating. We all know prices are increasing, however, you are a huge corporation and could find money to keep your properties looking respectful.

Two stars only because I like the non-pharmacy staff. They tend to be delightful in a rascally sort of way. Even so, do your best to avoid this store.ENVIRONMENT: TRASHYThe shopping carts, found inside the doorway, are affixed with tall poles, taller than the CVS doorway, ensuring that nobody can take a cart from the building into the parking lot. Want one of the items they've decided is a high theft risk? You'll go to that part of the store, but you won't find the item; you'll find photos of that item, pinned to a shelf, with a sign that tells you to bring each photo to the front desk for purchase. Heck, even the ATM has a hinged flap that rests on your hand as you punch in your PIN. Everything about the store screams, "we're assuming a lot of you are robbers." STAFFING: TRASHY They push hard to make you use the self-checkouts, seemingly resentful that they need to staff humans at all. They declined to take me for a walk-in covid test, but when I came back for a drive-thru appointment, they were no less than 40 minutes late getting to me. Most of us in the line of cars just turned off our engines while we waited. I read a few chapters of my book.STOCK: TRASHY Empty shelves everywhere, and whatever you're looking for, half of it is sold out. On my last visit, they had exactly one covid test package for sale, at $24 instead of the more common 17 or 18. I balked at that price and just ordered one on Amazon, so somebody else will get to be the reason CVS is all out of covid tests. With so little support for covid, I find it hard to take them seriously as a pharmacy. And with so little staff and stock, I find it hard to take them seriously as a store. They're probably best viewed as a convenience store: sketchy, pricey, missing what you came in for, and only to be used when absolutely necessary.

The pharmacist are nice but one of them needs to learn to use the hold feature on a phone. I’ve called 2 times, told “please hold” and promptly hung up on. It’s as if she’s just pressing the wrong button. This happened on 11/18/22 around 4:30pm.I’m redialing again a fourth time to see if I can get a word in edge wise before she puts me on hold (hangs up) again.

Shopping in Lomita, California...I saw this CVS down the block and across the street. I thought: wouldn't it be great if I could find a rain poncho at regular price and use the 30 percent off coupon on my CVS app?We parked easily and entered the cozy store. We checked the aisles, but were unable to find a rain poncho. (It was supposed to rain because of a hurricane in the south.)On a whim, as we were about to give up, I asked the cashier if there were any rain ponchos. She knew exactly where they were: behind the shopping carts, next to the ATM. She moved the shopping carts out of the way. On the top shelf of the display with the umbrellas, were red, blue and orange rain ponchos! Yay!I told her that I wanted to use my 30 percent off coupon. She looked up my account, found my coupon and applied it to my balance! Yay! $9.99 plus 9.5 percent tax is a good deal! Thanks to CVS (Longs Drugs Store in Hawaii) for being consistently reliable!

Located off Narbonne in Lomita. Not much to say it's a CVS and similar to other CVS stores. The lady working was very helpful and was very nice. Overall a good CVS and nice staff.

Pretty much all the various CVS stores around the area are the same. This one is no different. It offers all the things that CVS is known for as well as having its pharmacy.Located on the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Narbonne, this CVS is easy to get to. There's a large parking lot which in circles the store so you won't have any trouble finding a place to park when you come me here to get whatever it is you may need, grab your prescription, or get your vaccination.Staff here is always nice, helpful, and friendly.Overall, if you need what CVS has to offer, this is a place to go.
