“This place is pretty great for what it is. There has been some lows in the past but ever since they've got a new owner it's been improving. Lilly is by far the best Cashier, she's very nice. I really wish the others were a bit more interactive and considerate. They have quite a lot of stock, and being 20 second running distance makes this place very "convenient". The prices are fair considering they are a smaller sized retailer. There are of course going to be some things they can improved on, but I'm excited to see how they grow as time passes. They recently (today) got a little bit of competition, in the produce department. I'm hoping that sparks a little bit of competitive spirit. As no longer will Loleta Market have a full monopoly on its town.I recommend this place if you need something real quick, if you want a drink for the road or anything else simple like that. If you find something displeasing about the store, tell the cashier's in a kind manner in hopes it will reach the owner. Remember they are human, some having to work as late as 10pm for our convenience. Have a great day y'all!”

“This is what we need more of!!! Old School customer service, high quality product, and things you will never find in your chain stores. Tri Tip was great and Net Yorks were unreal.”

“Love this place the crepes are perfect, Charcuterie's are on point with wonderful home cured meats and local cheese, I love a good pretzel with really good mustard , pulled pork sandwich and coleslaw is yummy. The staff is kind and efficient. The high ceilings give it a wonderful open, airy feeling, with lots of light coming through the windows and the picnic tables add to the ambience, and are really comfortable.”

“Took my first lamb in, they turned it around in a week. Asked for burger, didn't find any in the box. According to the math, I took home just over 50% of hanging weight. Not overly impressed, but by no means disappointed. Leaving a review while I'm still stoked on my freezer re-up. No doubt plan on returning.”

“I moved into the neighborhood in Dec 2022. The market immediately reminded me of many corner stores that center on beer sales in cities. Produce was emergency buy only. Some products looked out of date. The sandwich I bought was weak. I now understand the prior owner managed it differently and was loved. Since then I have spoken to the newer owner and a long term employee about the difference. I think they are now trying harder. They didn't buy the market to make it fail or to degrade it. I notice a much more friendly attitude recently. I think they realize the gold in this goose came from the products and services and the loyal customers. It is not like the owner's properties in other towns. They told me that they want to make it the very local choice for weekly grocery shoppers. There are a lot of older non-drivers in the local blocks. The produce looks better recently. The meat looks better. Maybe not my choice for the big weekly shopping (WINCO) but it is starting to get close and I am buying the non-big shop there. They have what they need in terms of space and facility. And the owner is changing slowly as he sees the demand. If we want this store to meet our needs, then I suggest telling them directly what is wanted. I know them well enough to know they respect direct communication and will try to meet it. If you want the outdoor grill, ask. There is a fee they would need to pay to the city. But if we ask, I think they would. But if we ask, then be prepared to support! Bottom line: unknown today. It is up to them and us. And if successful, there won't be a them and us. Only us. I say, give them business and see if they can be genuine Humboldt like before or better.”
