Had my 2018 Corolla twice in for oil service. Every time they tried upselling me with ridiculous engine flush, carbon removing and other worthless service for $1,200!!! All I needed was an oil change. When I needed a new daytime running light (only one!). Ias quoted $800 + installation…..what is wrong with Toyota. I get a new pair of dlr lights for $100 on the open market. Bottom line I don’t trust Lodi Toyota and would never go back. They also said I needed new rear brakes. I went to local tire/brake shop and they said I have more than 50% life left on all my brakes and they heard about Toyota screwing people over. You have to do better than that

They are not upfront about services they add to your loan when you buy a car. A Zurich paint protection was added that I didn't even know could be declined. It was made to seem like it wasnt optional. I did get the maintenance plan so I was aware of that price. They low balled my trade in. I canceled the maintenance plan due to being in a car accident and the car being totaled. I called them 3 separate times to try and cancel it and I got run around answers. They were making it seem like it couldn't be canceled, then only my insurance could cancel it. I finally went in and signed the cancelation form. Very uncaring of the entire situation. After I signed They said they would send the loan company a check in a couple weeks. Well, its been a couple of weeks and nothing. That's about 5k total I have a feeling they are trying to not pay back (which none of the maintenance was ever used, I only had the car 10 days before I was in a bad accident). After this situation I was so turned off by the dealership I actually went to another dealership and got a newer car (I got a brand new 2024 from lodi toyota) and got a 2025 brand new car for a better price, interest rate and all up front discussion of warranties, prices and the full option to decline them if I wanted. Never again. I won't even recommend them to family and friends.

Never go there unless you are really want a Toyota badly and they are the only one have it. Finance lady is raciest and extremely rude she needs to be retired already. I would not recommend any of my friends and Family members to go at Lodi Toyota. Parts department guy extremely friendly and nice hamza I believe his name was thank you and god bless you.

Like others have mentioned, their service department lies.
I have a new Toyota still under the 3 year, 36k mile bumper to bumper warranty. It has only been serviced by Lodi Toyota. I noticed prior to my 15k warranty that my bumper end cap was loose.
I arrived for my appointment and unfortunately got Ty as my service advisor instead of my normal advisor, Jeff. Jeff has always been great. Ty almost immediately starts complaining that management won't let them wear shorts even because it's unprofessional. Then, a coworker stops by his desk with paperwork, hands it to Ty, and asks him to write up a work order. He then starts complaining that she always gets free parts and labor for her vehicle, but he doesn't even get a discount. Should have been my first red flag.
We walk out to the vehicle, I show him the end cap, and Ty gets underneath and takes some pictures of the passenger and driver side. Says they will look at it and call me.
I get a call 30 minutes later from Ty stating that someone attempted to repair my end cap and there is no point in him submitting it to Toyota for warranty. He said someone tried to duct tape the end cap back on and I was missing a bracket. He said it would be $399 to repair it. Then he said, "between you and me, if you take it to the dealer you bought it from, they will probably fix it for free." That is when I opened my eyes to the red flags.
I got the vehicle back, went home, and looked underneath. Both sides appeared identical, with the same brackets and the same parts sticker on a separate bracket that holds the bumper (but not the end cap) in place. I emailed Ty and asked for pictures of the "duct tape" and the part number for the "missing bracket". He sent me pictures of the parts sticker. I asked again for the part number and he replied that it was not notated on the file, sorry. I responded with a picture of both sides having the same sticker and the same brackets and asked him to clarify. He asked shop foreman Jesse for a response, who said, "Located tape on rear brackets under truck, passenger side panel bracket has the wrong bolts installed as compared to driver side. The hole for the bracket is large and the bolts used do not have the large washer to keep the bracket from pulling away from the mounting location." Ty also sent pictures of the bolts, which looked identical to the bolts on the driver side. Ty said it was modified from original and quoted again $399 plus parts and additional labor to calibrate the sensors. He again suggested I take it to the selling dealer and have them address it.
I contacted Toyota directly about this dealership, and it is under review.
I took the vehicle to a dealer with a better reputation, but not the selling dealer. Within an hour they removed the end cap, reinstalled it, and charged me nothing. The dealer who fixed it will now get all of my maintenance business going forward, even though they are much further away.
In addition to Lodi Toyota's incompetence and/or lies, when they performed a recall on my vehicle and had to drop the gas tank, the technician forgot to bolt one of the straps in place that holds the gas tank in position. Also, my fluids were low after the 15k service, which was something another reviewer had mentioned as well.

Very nice people. Bought my car here in 2020, and it was a good experience. However... once I bought my car, I had a tire pressure light on. Filled it up, and it was fine. A month later, and it was back on. I kept filling the single tire every time the light came on and would mention it every single time I took it into the shop for my free maintenance. Every time they told me that the tires were a bit low but it was just the weather etc etc. By the second year, I told them it was ridiculous and please take off the tire and thoroughly check it for a hole. (It was always just 1 tire, which obviously kept moving positions due to tire rotations.) Still nothing. My free maintenance plan finally ended, and I was fed up with this tire issue and took my car to another shop in Lodi, December 2023. This gentleman let me watch him take my tire off, dunk it in water, locate the hole and remove the huge nail that has been stuck there since I bought the car ? This dealership has friendly people, but they don't take responsibility for everything. I bet if I had complained 1 more time after my warranty was up, they would have miraculously found it. I have years of complaining about my tire during my visits (written on my paperwork), and they failed to ever find an issue. My tire light used to come on every 2-4 weeks like clockwork. Now it hasn't turned on in over 6 months.

TLDR: If you want to pay a premium for a car and get poor customer service while you're getting ripped off, then this is the place for you. If you want an honest and transparent dealership that values their customers, then go elsewhere! Keep reading on to find out why I give this dealership only two stars...
About a month ago, I bought a gently used 2021 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid at Lodi Toyota, which I love and plan to keep for a very long time. Unfortunately, the car itself is the best part of this review.
The day I purchased the car, I had to spend time negotiating the value of my trade-in, because they gave me a very low-ball offer right off the bat (less than half of the Kelly Blue Book trade-in value). They also were adding on an expensive non optional charge for Zurich Shield (a paint and interior treatment) that I did not want. The salesman kept trying to pressure me to sign his paper showing the monthly payment, even when I was not ready to accept the deal (because my trade-in was valued way too low, the charge for the paint protection was way too high and the interest rate was initially not what I was willing to take).
Eventually I negotiated a good value for my trade-in, knocked a few hundred dollars off the price of the Zurich shield and got an interest rate I was willing to pay (but just because they ran my credit with Golden1, which I already have a good relationship with). However, the surprises started to appear after I closed the deal and was signing the purchase documents.
Once I was signing the documents, the charge for the Zurich shield ended up being nearly $3,000 - more than double what I had negotiated with the salesman. The finance manager couldn't give me an explanation and just told me that the monthly payments ended up the same as what I agreed to. There was no explanation for the roughly $2K that was somehow misteriously added to the total purchase price of the car. I was willing to overlook this however, and pay it as other than that I was getting a good deal, especially with the way the car market has been recently.
Fast forward two weeks, and the dealership finally paid off the loan on my trade in vehicle. However, an automated loan payment had already processed before they sent the check, and they used the new loan payoff amount, instead of the payoff amount in the sales contract. At this point, the dealership owed me about $300.
Over the last two weeks, I was trying to work with the finance manager to get this solved, but they stopped responding to my emails for the last week and did not return any phone calls.
Today I walked into the dealership as the finance manager had ghosted me and I wanted an answer as to what was being done to make things right. The good news is that I walked out with the check for the difference between the agreed upon loan payoff and the actual loan payoff within about 5 minutes of arriving. The only explanation I got was that they were waiting on receiving the title from the bank, which they told me they received. I can only wonder how much longer they would have been sitting on the check if I hadn't driven two hours round-trip to get them to make things right!
Toyota makes great cars, but the dealership management is what makes or breaks the dealership experience. Unfortunately, Lodi Toyota does not appear to be managed well, based on my experience. Whether it is due to incompetence or a complete lack of integrity, I will never know. But what I know for certain is that this dealership will not get my business again. The only thing keeping me from giving a one star review is that all the folks were friendly and I was able to negotiate a much better deal than what they initially offered me.

A very poor buying experience. They did not properly process the DMV paperwork, and the person that Lodi Toyota sold my trade-in to got dozens of parking violations and toll fees. Lodi Toyota said they would handle everything, and weeks later I was getting more bills, some of which now past due so I had to pay. When I went back they told me to go to the DMV myself, but the flash drive I received when I purchased my new car did not have the necessary paperwork. So, I had to return again to get the right paperwork, spend an afternoon at the DMV and pay some of the fines. PLEASE learn from my suffering and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Its never fun shopping for cars but if you find the right sales associate that alone can make shopping for a vehicle so much easier. I was looking for a grand highlander xle hybrid awd with a bench seat for the 2nd row. Got an email from Brigitte saying they have one coming in. Went in to talk about the vehicle to realize it still hasnt been built. That the vehicle will take a month and a half to be built and arrive. I was in no rush for the vehicle and dont mind waiting over a month so i asked Brigitte how do i reserve this car and make sure no one else gets it. She got me to put down a deposit and reserved it to my name. As i was waiting for the vehicle to arrive Brigitte kept me updated about the vehicle wit emails and text messages. Until the car finally arrived Brigitte made it super fast and easy and made me feel so welcome like i was family. She cracked jokes saying she almost sold my car cus i couldnt pick it up right away. Brigitte made the buying process fun and easy and it felt like i came in to pick something up instead of a long dragged day trying to argue for a deal. Thanks Brigitte. If your looking for a Toyota please please please ask for Brigitte she is awesome.
