I went to do a simple return, however I couldn't because I was told my item had to go back to the store for quality issues, which I understood however, when I went to ask the self checkout lady with the short blonde hair, where to do a return, she told me Customer service and she was actually the lady that was going to help me. She walked away from me made me wait there for a few moments and then came back and said what did you need and I said to do a return, she glared at me and I looked at her and glared back in her face because she was so rude. Definitely never coming back here. First time experience! I thought the flowers in the front were beautiful however, both cashier and self check out women were rude.

My wife came to this location after working all night to pick up some groceries and the check out clerk ignored her and wouldn't even speak to her, but was very cheery and talkative to the woman before her in line who was white. My wife is Mexican and when she brought this to the clerks attention she didn't even have any excuses. The clerk also was rude to another Hispanic man who needed help getting a locked up item, which the clerk assumed was liquor, but he needed a baby item. I'm white and I wish I had been there, because I would have raised hell. My wife DOES NOT deserve to be treated as a second class citizen and I DO NOT tolerate this kind of discrimination and blatant racism. We are never shopping at this location again and I will tell others to avoid it as well. A manager was walking by as these events took place and did nothing as well. This location needs to be examined by higher level management and employees disciplined for this disgusting behavior. I recommend people of all races and creed to avoid this store.

My cashier Dennis was super friendly and kind!! He made good conversation during check out and seemed like an all around great guy!! Memorable, I never remember anyone's name but he made a great first impression.. definitely recommend his line

Not my favorite Safeway. I don't like the parking lot and I don't think the selection of items large enough- they never seem to have what I want. I normally shop at the larger, newer Safeway, but went to this one yesterday because it was close. They didn't have 3 things on my shopping list (which only had 18 items on it to begin with.) I'm glad we have two Safeways and I'm sure it's challenging managing the two stores- but I've been disappointed just about every time I come to this one. But if you are looking for something you buy every day, and it's not on sale or a specialty item, you will probably be fine.

I used to really like this Safeway. They have some VERY nice employees. But also so very negative ones. Last month this one checker, was so annoyed that I had the audacity to ask for a back up checker, because she failed to notice that she had 6 people in her line (all with full cart). She was very defensive and when I tried to talk to her about it she became more defensive and then just downright nasty. I am going to grocery stores in Livermore who understand what descent customer means. I have not returned since the incident. They shouldn't hire people who hate people. Plenty of other nice people who need a job could easily fill their spot.

Bakery and my wifes birthday cake. The good: the staff was very helpful with ordering an 8" cake and suggesting cake decorations.The cake was ready when requested and looked beautiful.The bad: the cake. The cake portion flour part was on the dry side. The frosting was to be a cream frosting. The frosting, the flowers, and decorations tasted like the cheap frosting out of a can. So disappointing.There was to be a layer of real strawberries mixed with the cream frosting in the middle.It appeared that there were only 2 - 3 chopped strawberries. The layer was so thin it was barely worth having in the cake. We have another birthday this weekend. We are definitely NOT ordering a cake from Safeway ever again. So sad.

if they hire you on a probationary period and you sprain your ankle outside of work, they expect you as if everything is normal you'll fail your probation for being too slow. even with documentation. equal opportunity employer am I right, manager gave a rude remark when I called in because i was unable to walk after the previous day. i have documentation from a physician and it was ignored.

Today I had the most amazing Safeway employees take care of my order at the Bakery Counter at your Livermore California Store #910.Maria and Alondra went over and beyond to help me fulfill a cupcake order that the other Safeway in town failed to follow through with. Maria and Alondra listened to me and offered options to me that relieved me from the stress from the OTHER Safeway Store in Livermore failing to place my order. Maria and Alondra need to be commended for going over and beyond to make everything right for me and my event this weekend. Maria calmed me down and made sure I got exactly what I had wanted. These two employees are STAR employees and should run the Bakery at both the Safeway Stores in Livermore. I will only shop at this store #910 from here on out because of these fantastic women.I have managed Big Box Retail stores for over 35 years, and I know how important it is to know who your fantastic employees are. Maria and Alondra are FANTASTIC employees and should be compensated for being and exceptional representation of Safeway's customer service.

I'm not a huge Safeway shopper because I usually find a lot of things cheaper somewhere else. Trader Joe's and Walmart are where I do most of my shopping. Safeway is where I go when I need something I can't get at the other stores. Today I went to get a few things that were on sale that were in the just for you app. The place is clean and staff very friendly. I usually don't have any problems going in and finding what I need.If you consider shopping at Safeway I highly recommend you get the just for you app and clipping the coupons. Sometimes they have really good deals and You can get multiple coupons that add up. One time I went in and got four boxes of taco shells for free and even got 1¢ back. I didn't plan it but I am so glad I clipped the coupons.The photo attached to this review shows how beneficial the coupons are. You will see how much each product cost with and without the coupons.

This is just for the middle aged woman who works at the Safeway Starbucks. You slowly looked me up and down as soon as I approached the counter, probably noticing my belly as I am 40 weeks pregnant. I ordered a grande iced coffee, which was within the safe amount of caffeine for pregnant women, as approved by my doctor and nurses at Kaiser. You went on to ask if the drink I was ordering was for me. Then you bragged about never drinking caffeine while pregnant and how your kids were so much better than your sister’s kids. You didn’t even make my drink right. I took one sip in my car, then cried over the interaction I had with you. I didn’t drink the beverage. I wasted $6 just to be judged by you. And a few months back when I ordered a drink from you, you said birth was so easy for you (I didn’t ask). You judged me that time too, but today was worse. I actually got scared when I saw it was you working, but I took a chance because I didn’t think you would take it upon yourself to judge my body and my choices again, but you did. You really shouldn’t be talking to pregnant people. Everyone in Livermore has been so courteous to me walking around pregnant. You are the only person who has taken it upon themself to outwardly judge me and make sure I know how much better you are than me and others who don’t make the same choices you do. It’s not that you actually care about the health of my baby, you just feel the need to tell me and others how amazing YOU are.

this is my Local Safeway and I like to go late when not much people. Today (05/25/23) at 12:00am I was low on funds but my dogs really needed food. I had a $25 gift card and was still about $4 short so I told the cashier to cancel the doggy sticks. He kindly pulled his phone out and said for me to just pay it forward next time. He was so patience and nice and on top of that paid for my balance that I did not have. God Bless you Ricardo!!! (night shift crew) thank you For your kind heart.

Very nice store bakery and big hot food area. Even had wine tasting. When I went, they had WoodFamily wine. What a treat.

This is the worst managed Safeway I’ve ever been to. From the way they talk to their employees in front of customers, to the way the the managers just stand around talking. I genuinely have never been so disappointed in a store. The workers for the most part are amazing but the mangers need a lesson in customer service and common decency.

Management doesn’t seem to enjoy their jobs. Rarely present during regular business hours; when they are ‘available’ they are extremely disrespectful to their staff -in front of customers- and are always so inconvenienced by a customers needs. Thank goodness for the ever polite Ms. Robbie for helping my daughter and I this morning when a member of management was no where to be found at 9am.
