I've been renting from national in Livermore, approximately for the last six months. They're always so professional and have a great selection of cars. Today I was very impressed with a manager who offered a ride back if I lived locally. Also, Steven who gave me a ride back to get my car was so nice and very professional. I highly recommend this business.

Staff could be more attentive. If they are helping another customer when you arrive, the professional response should be "I'll will be with you when I'm done helping this customer," instead of just being ignored as you stand there for 15 minutes.

BEWARE! STAY AWAY! I wish I could give zero stars. This was the worst experience I have ever had renting a car. Go anywhere else. National Oakland and corporate do not care about their customers at all. When we got in there was one car left. It was a minivan. We took it and started our hour drive to where we were staying. The car had a ton of electrical issues so we called national who said they were bringing us a new car. The tow truck driver showed up, took our car and said he would be back in an hour with our car. 2 hours later the tow company called and told us that there were no cars left and the manager would be calling me. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME. We were Now stranded with lots of pay ahead reservations for our 10th anniversary trip. I called multiple times and kept either being transferred to their 3rd party roadside assistance or told I would get a call back. Then their 3rd party sent an uber to drive us to another airport an hour away. They told me they called and a car was waiting for us. Well they had no cars when we got there and we were now stranded at the airport. We asked to talk to a manager and were told he was on vacation. The guy from budget saw how upset we were and rented us his last car. 48 hours later and still no call from National. Thanks for making our 10th Anniversary trip do stressful, costing us uber rides, and almost completely ruining our trip.

Very bad experience with National car rental.I’m their so called “Emerald” member.I reserved a full size sedan pickup at SFO airport.When I got there, there are 3-4 mid size to compact cars specially for “Emerald” members, lol.Then I asked for full size sedan and they don’t have any. Then thought of pickup one of them and planned to return atNational Car rental 3569 First St, Livermore, CA 94551. Then reserved another car with Livermore location pickup for next day.Next day I dropped the car and asked for my next pickup on the sameDay. But they had 1-2 cars there. Then I had to cancel the reservation and asked for a ride back home. They denied that too.I called a taxi and went back home then realized I forgot a phone holder in the car.I called them immediately, and call went to the customer care and I gave the details about the missing thing.Next day I got a call from the Livermore location and said they don’t have it.I simply lost it.Forget about this location if you have any choice other than National near to you.

The facility is impossible to get in touch with. They refer you to their 888 number, but never directly to the facility to confirm availability. Worst service ever!

Really great service. We had a flat tire on our trip and they assisted in getting the tire replaced and even gave us a free day for our troubles. Very appreciative.

Just drove by there. It's closed for good. For lease sign in the window. All furniture and fixtures gone. Will miss them. Another virus victim.

Worst customer service I've ever seen. They double charge me and no one takes responsibility. It took more than 1 month to their customer service to tell me to go to the credit company. I'm still trying to get my money back.
