DoubleTree Livermore was really quite bad. When we inquired about checking in we were told the water had been shut off due to problems with the hot water system - best to come back after 4 pm. After dinner we came back and checked in. We soon discovered there was no hot water after running water for 15 minutes, a sin in California. After talking with Scarlett at the Desk in person - we were told the system was still broken. She offered $50 in compensation but we had to talk to her manager in the morning to accomplish that transaction. In the morning, the manager had already left. Staff member Mr. Sanji (sp?) informed us that the compensation for no hot water was $25 and/or breakfast. He gave us the manager name Eduardo Escareno and his phone number to call the next day.Eduardo's phone number was called the next day, it was disconnected. No answer at the Desk. I then called Hilton and a staff member named Elmer helped us. He was shocked as we were. He tried calling DoubleTree Livermore - no answer. He compensated us $50. Apologized completely and stated this was not Hilton's normal business practice.BTW - the hotel common areas etc. were brand new renovations, The room was good.Sangi (sp?) Selene(sp?) and Scarlett were trying, several differing answers - but I think not supported by local management.Looking back on Google and Yelp, the renovation and hot water issues have been going on for awhile. We thought problems MUST be resolved by now, so went ahead and reserved the stay. Hilton must step in, this is unacceptable

The property has been remodeled. There's some warts still but they seem to be working through it. The food at the restaurant/bar is good and the prices are reasonable. It's a good choice for Hilton if you are in the area.

Hotel just reopened under much better management. Rooms are very fresh and new but the highlight of this hotel is definitely the bar. Delicious food and the bartender Josh really takes good care of everyone. Eduardo at the front desk also provides excellent service. These guys make up for the hotel's little shortcomings as it's basically brand new. Area feels safe including the complimentary guest parking. Highly recommended.

COLD SHOWERS. It appears showers have been throttled. Tried two rooms, one was Luke warm, the other was barely warm enough to be tolerable with heat maxed out. Sinks ran hot so definitely a shower issue. BEDS ARE NOT PROPER QUEEN SIZE. They are smaller. No fridge. A terrible disappointment. Don’t stay here.

Room: After being checked into a room on the 2nd floor, attempted to take a shower. Noticed that the water did not drain properly and to our disgust our feet were just soaking in standing water. Called the front desk and were moved to a new room. Immediately checked the shower situation and there was no difference. Water still did not drain. Were then moved to a room on the 1st floor and the water drainage situation was remedied. Water gets like warm at best. No basic amenities provided such as a microwave, fridge or lotion. There is no trash bin located in the bathroom. Had to move the desk trash into the bathroom. No counter space in bathroom and shower doors do not close because they are off balanced. No convenient place to hang towel. Rooms are drafty and get extremely cold without turning the heater the entire stay. Walls are paper thin and you can hear what is going on in the next room.Service: The only reason I am giving three stars is because of how sympathetic, understanding and accommodating the staff we encountered attempted to be given the conditions of their hotel. However management could do with some training. It is unbecoming of a manager to send out staff to explain their reasoning for denial of a request instead of explain it themselves. There could have been a miscommunication, so addressing a paying customers in person is more respectable.Location: Not much to brag about. Livermore is overall a nice area. Have definitely stayed at better hotels and will do so going forward.

My special lady friend, Carol. and I recently stayed at the Livermore Doubletree at Hilton. We wanted to celebrate the ending of 2023, while bringing in the new year. What a wonderful experience! From the desk clerks to the servers in their restaurant, as well as their bar. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and did everything to make our stay a memorable one. Can’t wait to come back again. Thanks again for this little gem in Livermore.Ron Visconti

Encountered a shower drainage problem that led to flooding in this newly renovated DoubleTree. For an establishment of this caliber, one would expect the inclusion of at least a fridge. Unfortunately, the experience lacked the anticipated level of accommodation.

The place is beautifuly done but whoever renovated did not have build quality in mind. I went from room 210 with the shower not draining water since it was sloped incorrectly. Thinking it may have just been that room we politely asked for another room. We switched to 211 and same issue.. Scarlett was very accommodating and found us a room with a shower that worked properly on the 1st floor. We also noticed there were no fridges or lotion in all three of the rooms inconveniencing us even more. The next morning I wanted to use my gold member benefits to receive breakfast. The host relayed my request to his manager (Eduardo Escareno) and he didn't even bother to come out and explain to me why he's denying my request.

Stay away! This hotel is an absolute joke. The rooms don’t have fridges or microwaves, the front desk is abandoned for long stretches at a time. The gym is mostly out of order and they stiffed me on cookies. Here’s a tip Hilton…don’t open your hotel until it’s ready to be opened. You renovated this place into a 2 star motor lodge without the charm. The shower is weak and lukewarm is the hottest water you’re likely to get. The staff were nice.

Super new, super clean! The bar and restaurant are top notch and unexpected. I've never recommended chicken strips before but these are the best! Hand breaded buttermilk. The bar has a great bourbon selection and the staff are amazing!
