Today I encountered less than optimal service after first spending nearly $50 on half a tank of unleaded. I'd been feeling nauseous all day and needed a soda, and proceeded inside to grab some ginger ale. The only bottles I saw were on a top shelf in the refrigerated shelves along the back (east) wall. The Schweppes bottles were stacked in the last two columns on the top shelf, along with Squirt and orange drink bottles. That particular shelf advertised an orange $4/2 special. There were two of those placards on that shelf. One would assume the ginger ale was included. So I grabbed two bottles and proceeded to the checkout. The clerk that greeted me with a smile but asked "Just this"? I was feeling under the weather and wasn't in the mood to retort with "yeah, JUsT this and 50 dollars worth of gas I just pumped". He rang my beverages up and the total came to $5.69. I mentioned the $4 / 2 bottle promo, to which he asked his lead cashier (brunette female wearing a Chevron polo while my clerk wore a denim jean jacket and white t shirt underneath) sitting forlornly on the end about it. I mentioned the shelf I selected the ginger ale bottles was $4/2, to which she replied, "that only applies to the orange drinks". Either she was making up the rules as she went along or maybe that applied to the orange beverages. But I was miffed by the deceptive advertising, along with the comment implying I was being a cheapskate. Plus the lack of extra care or attention to the extra $1.69 I was charged. The encounter rubbed me the wrong way.

This review is specifically for the car wash. It's hard to complain when you're spending $8-12 on a wash, but this one only did an okay job. One of the attached pictures shows how there was still residual dust on my windshield, and that wasn't the only spot. That said, my car hadn't been washed in months and had been in some pretty dusty/dirty areas. Only so much you can expect from a touchless wash, and my car definitely looked 75% better coming out. Unless you're really looking to get your car squeaky clean, this place is worth it just for the cost given that most hand washes are $25+.Notable: The $10 and $12 tiers advertise some extra cleaning features, but they don't really seem like they'd be useful. I'd stick with the $8 option.

It's wonderful that the laser-guided washing system won't scratch or swirl your car. But it would be been nice if my car looked even slightly clean after. Maybe it was because I chose the rainbow wax wash, but there was a filmy grime all over it after. I tried even wiping it off with a cloth, but anywhere I wiped then just stood out from the rest so was worse. So disappointed.

If you don't want scratches or swirls, this is the car wash you want! It doesnt have those brushes and rollers. Just pressured water, soap and air blower to dry.

This Review is specifically for Sam. I'm not from the area, but I was heading for a car meet/cruise. Prior to today, I had washed my car, but wouldn't you know it. Today I hit a lot of bugs, I had a bird take a dump on my car while I was driving (there was already a crack on my window and I guess when it hit, it made my crack longer!), And of course just dust and dirt from the terrible road since it hasn't been paved in forever. Awful! My car is dirty again! After getting Starbucks, I quickly looked for a touchless carwash. I have a small gurney flap on my car, so a regular car wash would most likely damage it. Found Bernard's Chevron Touchless Car Wash and started driving even further away from the car meet up. I get there and I see a worker cleaning the drains. Aw fauk. I asked how long it would take, at this point he introduced himself as Sam. He said about an hour until he was done. I would be late to the meet by then. I said thanks anyways and just parked trying to figure out what to do. Go to the meet in a dirty car or find another car wash place (which there wasn't another touchless car wash in the surrounding area according to Google). Sam comes up to me and asked if I could wait ten minutes, he would clear what he already had from the drain and move the cones so I could still get my wash. "Are you sure?", "Yeah you drove all this way, just give me ten minutes." What a hero!! He hooked up the system, and my experience with the touchless car wash was pretty great. It got rid of the dirt, dust, bugs and the bird mark off the car. It's not a refined wash but it definitely did the job and left me happy! Thank you Sam! I don't come to the East Bay because I live in South Bay, but I hope you read this review. My response by the way, the meet was great! You saved the day!

My go to for a good quick car wash. Completely touch less as you sit in your car. They got rid of rails so don't have to worry about bumping your wheels and risk damaging. It dry off pretty good going through blower. Can't beat it for 7 bucks!

Nozzle maintenance at the car wash has not been done for some time. The side nozzles should not be jet spraying. I will no longer go to this place.

Often stop here on our way to San Francisco. Very clean. LOVE the salted caramel yogurt. Loads of topping options! Sam provided excellent customer service to all. He coupled efficient service with a wonderfully cheery attitude. Thank you!

This was my first time at Bernard's 24-Hour Mini Mart in Livermore. I visited at around 3: 00 p.m. The place is super-clean, super-organized, and the layout is very appealing and inviting. It is the highest-end gas station store that I've ever seen. I used to work at high send stores at Stanford Shopping Center and also at the Hillsdale Mall in San Mateo, so I know high-end when I see it. It feels very peaceful inside, because it isnt "stuffed" with merchandise, though it is very well stocked. Yes, prices are higher than normal, but that is the cost of 24 hour convenience. I wanted to browse around and see all that they had, but I didn't have time for all of that. In the short time that Iwas there, I saw that they had beautifully displayed sandwiches and juices, a frozen yogurt bar of about six flavors, (they even have sample cups!) a coffee bar, chips and snacks, a very large selection of refrigerated beverages, ice cream, etc. Behind the counter, the cigarettes were laid out to perfection. I know that I left things out, so you'll have to come for yourself and see what I missed! Samuel, one of the store associates, was on duty, and when I told him how beautiful the store was, he said that the staff takes special care to keep things in tip-top shape. Samuel gave great customer service. He even took 22 cents out of the little bin on the counter which holds left-over change that customers leave behind, and paid the tax on my drink! Thanks, Samuel! There is also a Wendy's inside, which is open from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. Lovely place you have there, Bernard!

How do I review a gas station? The gas worked :) I didn't go inside. Stopped here on my way back to Hayward, CA. The receipt paper at the pump was not out, which is always great. Very happy that they didn't have obnoxiously loud music or commercials like at some stations. Like all CA gas pumps I've used, the gas pumps extremely slowly.
