We absolutely LOVE this place! The property is gorgeous, the rooms are lovely, and the staff are incredible! I have one problem though: FIX THE GD HOT TUB PLEASE!Rooms: Gorgeous rooms.Nearby activities: Feeding the chickens, walking with the lamas, hanging out in the wine bar.Safety: Safety is fine. Not an issue, anyway.Walkability: Very walkable. That being said, the property is not wheelchair accessible.Food & drinks: Great breakfasts. Good wine!Noteworthy details: They really need to get the hot tub fixed.

This place was absolutely wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we checked in. Our room was clean ... and we loved the fireplace. The hotel is conveniently located about two miles south of Mendocino ... which is absolutely charming in itself. Also, an unexpected surprise, our room was situated at the start of two trailheads that both led to the coast. We did both (less than 10-minute walks) and the sites were spectacular beyond words! Do yourself a favor and experience this place for yourself!

Absolutely amazing property, room and staff! We stayed here for our 10 year wedding anniversary and we enjoyed every minute of it. They have an incredible garden, friendly llamas that you can pet and chickens you can feed! And we received a wonderful breakfast that the chickens contributed to! So much fun! Walking the property is relaxing and so beautiful! The staff, especially Sequoia, we're so helpful and friendly. Thank you for helping us celebrate our anniversary in such a wonderful way! We will definitely be back soon!

Sad to report our disappointment at our visit in April -- sad because we honeymooned here in 1983 and have returned at least once every year since. Breakfasts were always a highlight when this was Glendeven, but not so on our recent visit. The egg dishes were rubbery and seemed to have been previously prepared and reheated, and the pastries had a mealy texture. We were also disappointed that the new owners did not provide any in-room housekeeping services for the duration of our stay. While it makes sense to cut back on some of the traditional services (for example, daily sheet changes), the total absence seems insupportable (particularly at these premium prices). But perhaps most distressing was the lack of any response at all to the review we provided to the inn immediately after our stay (a review that the inn solicited and in which we voiced the same concerns discussed above). We were left with the feeling that no one cares about the guests' experience, and we'll stay elsewhere the next time we visit Mendocino.

Absolutely beautiful destination! All of the flowers were in bloom, and it felt simply magical. There are several trails right off the property that lead to cliff side overlooks, the beach, and the woods. The staff was super friendly, and having farm fresh breakfast delivered right to my door was so nice. Highly recommend visiting this property - you will be glad that you did!Nearby activities: There are several state parks within a ten minute drive from the property, so there is tons to explore!

Our last visit was pretty incredible, I'd say, hard to beat. This trip was a little different...The staff was and still is friendly, kind and accommodating...really great. The location is beautiful, quiet, peaceful and lovely to "walk-a-bout" in.The llamas, chickens, and wildlife is fun and adds to the experience. The rooms are nice (pretty views)The things that left us wanting were:- No cable- The only part of breakfasts that were consistently good were the homemade muffins and fresh orange juice. Very disappointing breakfasts! Not tasty.- The bedding was not comfortable and the blanket atop the bed, needed for cooler temps was itchy and not good.

This place was a highlight on our trip, beautiful location, very quiet, super friendly staff, free wine tasting very evening. It goes on with the positive things: the rooms, especially those in the annexed buildings are superb, we stayed at the East Farmington, we used the fireplace which was a great little extra. Breakfast comes in a basket in the morning and was also really good. So overall absolutely great place I would stay for a week, one little point to note, the floor in the room needed a wet mop.

Such a cute place to stay! The room was extremely clean and I loved having the fireplace with premade wood and newspaper bundles ready to use. The llamas were adorable and so fun that you can feed the chickens. Wine hour was a nice addition with yummy snacks as well right before my massage I booked there (which was also great)! There was also yummy, fresh breakfast delivered to your door in the morning. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about this magical place! My mom and I stayed at the Mendocino Inn and Farm in the lodge King for two nights. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Homemade delicious breakfast brought to your door every morning. It is surrounded by nature and the location is perfect, sitting just outside the small town. The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed something. We absolutely loved having a real burning wood fireplace in our room. The fresh baked cookies at checkin and wine hour are the sweetest touch. We had such an amazing stay here and we will definitely be back. A must stay!!!

Best stay ever. We had an issue at first, and Sequoia went above and beyond to sort it out. This place is so beautiful. Wonderful to see the llamas and chickens. Breakfast is delish and the wine tastings are lovely too. We stayed in two rooms and get the sense that this space is very well run, with clean and immaculate rooms.

My fiance and I had a wonderful time here. We loved the grounds, we especially enjoyed feeding the chickens and seeing the llamas. Wine hour was a fun plus, with a few snacks. Staff was super nice, there was an issue with the room and they were extremely accommodating and friendly about it without making us feel uncomfortable. We look forward to returning!
