The owner suffers from medical problems and has left no one in charge to take care the business. I paid $3010.00 for a puppy that I never received and the business does not respond to requests for refund.

Our beautiful "Pearl" is 2 1/2 years old. She is an amazing dog. She is by far the smartest dog we've had. We have a medical office, and she's been part of the practice since she arrived at 10 weeks old. She's friendly yet aloof (unless she's given snacks!) Our patients adore her and are amazing how chill she is! She's been a wonderful addition to our family and our practice.

We purchased our first Akita puppy from Don some years ago, and when she passed away, there was such a hole in our hearts. The love we had for her and she for us was just amazing and so rewarding.I reached out to Don after some time had passed, and we had decided to get another puppy from Royalty Akitas. We've had her home now for 2 weeks. What a character! She's had her first vet check and the Doctor was amazed at how beautiful and calm she was. Beautiful markings and coat, sweet disposition, smart & funny. We highly recommend Don and Royalty Akitas if you love the Akitas breed as much as we do and want a high-quality pup - you won't be disappointed! Kris Romero-Salt Lake CIty, UT

My wife and I visited Don last year and I have to say he is very knowledgeable and cares for his dogs. His dogs were very well taken care of and we saw how good their temperament was when he gave us a tour of his place. This was our first Akita and I have to say I am definitely happy with him. He arrived very healthy as promised and he was eager to explore.

Don is an extremely knowledgeable breeder of amazing Akitas. Our boy was transported from California to Arizona and arrived in perfect shape. He was calm and ready to explore his new home. Our boy has a great temperament and is physically in superb shape. even our vet was impressed.

2+ years waiting for an over priced, underweight, dirty matted dog. Owner needs to retire - he's way overdue and stuck in the past, and absolutely zero people skills. Stay away from this outfit - you've been warned!

I love Akitas. I got my first Akita pup in the late 1980s, and now, 8 Akitas later, I'm still infatuated. As a unique breed with some super-specific quirks, finding the right breeder is a huge challenge. After almost a year of breeder hunting, website scanning, and puppy site postings, I got a call from Don, who said, "I have the puppy you're looking for." That's a serious boast, considering the quirks and personality traits that Akitas are well-known for, but I wisely chose to let him work on finding the ninth Akita in my history. As a result of subsequent calls, Don was able to refine further the specs for the ideal Akita puppy that would fulfill my hopes, wants, and needs. After almost a full year of litters being born, Jack finally arrived, and Don knew he was the right one from that very moment. Jack is solidly built and has a luxurious double coat with fantastic markings, gorgeous white paws, and beautiful, curious eyes. His personality is among the greatest of any dog I've ever encountered, and every one of my friends agrees. Don's greatest boast was that his Akitas have wonderfully sweet dispositions above and beyond all else. Don could not have been more correct, and we can't wait to get another perfectly chosen Akita from Don and Royalty Akitas.

I know this is a long review but if you're here you're obviously looking for an Akita of your own so I hope it will prove helpful to you. Anyone who has had the privilege of owning an Akita knows they have no equal. Loving, loyal, protective and beautiful; they are also playful, silly goofballs with a curious and engaging demeanor annnnnd a touch...or two... of stubbornness. 2022 marks our 29th year of owning Akitas and we've run the gambit of the good, the bad and the ugly. Through the years we've experienced aggression, chronic skin conditions and tragic hip dysplasia all from dogs from different breeders here in the US and from Canada. Finally...we experienced perfection in our beloved Tiko and Sabi who we recently had to say goodbye to. Both were from Royalty Akitas and lived long, happy, healthy lives and were a joy to our family. Everyone who has lost a beloved dog knows the pain is brutal and each one leaves his or hers mark on your heart forever. The loss of companionship leaves a huge void and, given we live on a farm, I also missed the sense of security and protection they naturally gave me and our daughter when my husband and son were off the property. So, after some time, we decided to look into getting another dog. Though Tiko and Sabi can never be replaced, we knew, after years of living with the proof of his dedication to the excellence of the breed in both health and temperament that we would be going back to Don. When I contacted Don, we discussed what we were looking for and he told me he was expecting puppies in early March. We paid for our puppies not only sight unseen but also unborn, lol. That might seem a little odd to some but I hope it serves to convey the trust I have in this man. I also asked him to pick our puppies for us based on our discussions. Picking a puppy is often an emotional decision and after having Akitas for so many years I've learned that health and temperament are the most important factors and, after Tiko and Sabi, I knew Don could be counted on to make the best choice for us. Once the litters were born and some weeks had passed Don called me and we went over a few different puppies before finally deciding on a boy and girl out of Nikki and Bear. (If you ever get the opportunity to meet Bear...do so! He looks like his name and has a PHENOMENAL personality) On May 18th, we picked up our puppies and they've been a joy ever since. We've been integrating them into 'farm life' to set their boundaries with our other animals and getting used to all the activities and distractions that come with being on a farm. They both have amazing temperaments but as they get older, their distinct personalities are coming through. Koto (Austin) is a big, sweet, lumbering, lummox who lives for hugs and kisses and Meeka (Trixie) is our beautiful, troublemaker always trying to get her brother into trouble but who still manages to look adorable with a shoe in her mouth. They are both perfectly perfect. Finally, I would like to say something about Don, himself. I know there are a number of reviews that mention his 'demeanor'. It is true that Don can be brusque and may even seem rather arrogant but people need to understand it's nothing personal and rather than feeling affronted should be appreciative of the fact that Don has spent decades developing his line of Akitas and his commitment to his dogs and their wellbeing is of paramount importance to him. Though he may be a 'no nonsense' kind of guy, he won't hesitate to share with you his wealth of knowledge about Akitas and that knowledge, along with his love and devotion to his dogs, is truly what matters when deciding upon a breeder and is of the greatest benefit to those fortunate to have one of his dogs. Additionally, people should also respect the fact that Royalty Akitas is his livelihood and he has a right to operate his business in a way that provides him stability and security. If he wants a sizable deposit or payment in full depending upon the case then you as a buyer ne

I have to say Royalty Akita is very professional! Don was very helpful with answering all my questions, and I had many. Speaking to him on several occasions about how he raised his dogs, what type of restriction he put on owning one of his puppies, he also asked questions to make sure we were fully prepared for a Akita puppy. I spoke to him about driving to get the puppy he said it was too long of a drive and I couldn't let her out to go potty, it was risky and there were to many Diseases she could pickup. He arranges the nonstop flight, vet check, took care of everythingI was able to pick her up at the airport in without any hassle! I will definitely be getting another Akita in the near future from Royalty Akita! Thank you Don

Royalty Akitas are nothing but a backyard puppy mill. There is a special place in hell for Don. Someone should shut him down. I had to give a star..he deserves a -10. Anyone who won't let prospective buyers touch the puppies and drugs them so they'll look calm and well adjusted is twisted. The puppies live in filth. Never in my life have i seen an Akita eat their own excrement. The puppy we got from Don did. I changed her food and she was fine. He gives absolutely no socialization. No holding, grooming, nails trimmed. She's terrified of trucks, construction. We've gotten past that. It's her physical health now I'm concerned about. God as my witness I would never return her to him. He would just breed her to death. Akita Rescue is well acquainted with Royalty Akitas. He has been ciited by the AKC and does not have the puppies checked by a vet. He didn't even know what shots HE had given our puppy. He told our vet "she should know, she was a vet". He is also a huckster. Shame on you Don. Please avoid this man like the plague.

We were in search of an Akita to add to our house and specifically wanted a Long Coat! We reached out to Don and made our purchase, came up to visit and found the most amazing young male long coat, who we named Nikko! The process was what you would expect and supportive our desires! We am an highly recommended Royalty Akitas and the professional and caring process we received!

These are updated pics of Mischa & Bear Jr. They honestly think they are human . What huge personalities they have . These two are so funny & keep us so entertained with the funny things they do & how they interact with each other . Mischa is a professional base ball dribbler & loves to drop the ball down stairs to watch it bounce & Bear loves to play & eat . Great guardians too since pandemic .
