I went into detox on April 29th 2023 weighing 65 pounds.I went into kiva on may 12 th 2023.I just graduated from their yeah it was hard at first being separated from loved ones but it was so worth it the staff they care and it's their job to be real with clients.I just want to say thank you I'm in sober living with sisters from kiva they helped me love myself again. I went to Sea World today with my fiance and been enjoying a clean and sober life.I would have never have been able to do that if it wasn't for them accepting me and having a bed ready so fast.Thank you again I do recommend this place.

McAllister detox accepts MediCal and provides a clean, safe and caring facility for those suffering from addiction and alcoholism. It is a 14 day program for detox during which time they will help place clients in longer term rehab or sober living programs. The staff is outstanding. The recovery program is enough to get clients thinking in the right direction but not overwhelming. I am very pleased with McAllister.

McAlister has a bad policy of not allowing people to drop off clothes for clients at the Skyline address, forcing them to waste time driving many miles out of their way to "headquarters" in El Cajon--and then giving them an address with the wrong suite. Very insensitive.

I am on a new road in my life largely thanks to KIVA. Deni is tough because she has to be, and because she cares. She leads an outstanding team including Christine, Chris, Lidia, Belinda, Kathy, Christina, Mary, Rebecca and Tony. Most of all Tony. He is the best counselor they have. He truly cares about every woman thwre and his process groups are outstanding!!!

Some of the staff is extremely nice and welcoming liz is program manager and always advocates for the clients the director is something completely ill i was personally demoralized by her on several occassions she is definetly not someone who should work with women trying to build themselves up she masters in tearing them down her teaching tactis are wrong she personally told me to practice being wrong 5 times a day and has also told me i wont ruin her steak dinner after reporting her to JFS i was retaliated against and given a letter of termination she does not have a mcallister heart and i have watched several clients walk away from this program because of her. Ms. Christine and chaval are absolutely amazing i will truly miss them and my wonderful case manager. Some staff see you as a person and some as a paycheck you have to pick the needles out of the haystacks im taking a lot of knowledge from the courses i took here and memories i made with sisters here definetly some life long friendships made here ♥♠♦♣

I just graduated from this program and yes it seems different at first but once u get into the groove of things it's not so bad. I made wonderful friends and sisters I will know for a lifetime. All the staff was very kind yes sometimes they have there bad days but they always try to help u if u are willing to put the work into it. Honestly if you can't handle following rules here then u Definitely will not make it out in the real world...

McAlister's drug & alcohol treatment program in Oceanside is the Best treatment program I've ever participated in. The treatment is superior to any fancy private beachfront treatment program. Believe me, I've had years of experience in those fancy programs, so I know what I'm talking about! Few people are excited about entering testament, usually it's court ordered so people aren't thrilled about participating, at first... Then, something magical happens during the 6 months of outpatient treatment. People who truly participate in the program transform & grow into being the best version of themselves! This program is "where the rubber meets the road". Yes you'll likely be confronted about your issues, and yes it might be uncomfortable at first, but be thankful that there are counselors and other clients who care enough to confront you. Participate in McAlisters treatment program, with all of your heart and soul, and you'll see the magic happening for you too! Arrive with an "attitude of gratitude". Be thankful for the amazingly talented counselors!! Take advantage of anything and everything they offer! All the best to you, as you journey onward to living a life that is beyond your imagination!!

Highly recommend if you're ready to change your life . The director and co director actually care and will accommodate with in reason to your specific needs . Some case managers drop the ball some times but everyone is human so that's a problem that a little understanding and compassion can fix . Overall great people , great clients and great staff . If you need a restart button kiva is the place to get it !

As a former employee please take this review very seriously. Please do not waste your time with this place. The "CEO" doesn't care about the people they serve it's all a money grab trust me. As a case manager I did room sweeps and found syringes, pills, urine in bottles in order to produce clean urine analysis by the clients there and when these things were brought to the program manager who is incompetent, negligent, ignorant and plainly chooses her paycheck over the safety of each client she and the so called CEO overlook the evidence and sweep everything under the rug. They create all these rules for the clients but they the people who make these so called rules are the first ones to break them. I pray this place gets shut down permanently and each negligent individual gets punished for putting people in harm's way. This is not a serious place to change your life because they only see each client as a way to keep the program funded. The call having 6 groups a day structure when it's just plain inhuman how they use each individual as a cash cow. I have so much more to say but I'll leave it at that.
