“I visited the Lemon Grove Antique Mall today and I could not say which was more of a delight, the two lovely ladies I met today, who run the place or the endless array of fascinating items available. I love getting lost in places like this. I could easily make a day of it. But today was a first for me, I had a wonderful time getting lost in conversation AND lost in all the items that were in display cases, curios and floor display items It was a unique experience that I shall attempt to replicate by returning very soon!ThanThank you ladies for creating such a unique space to delight in.Scott”

“My then-girlfriend was enamored with the rings she saw by Jeshua and I knew I had to get one for her for my proposal. Jeshua worked with me on a tight schedule to create a custom ring that my fiancé loves, in time for the cherry blossoms. She looks at it all the time with a smile on her face. We can definitely recommend Jeshua!”

“Not only did they have a gorgeous desk that I was looking for at a lower cost than online competitors but they upgraded all of the components for me to modern use. They added a finished back to the desk and made it bigger, also added electrical plugs for ease of use with computers. Great communication and incredible craftsmanship. I was very lucky to find Steven and Dan.”

“Mike, the owner, is knowledgeable and friendly. I found an amber vase for my daughter-in-law. I'll be back next time I'm in San Diego. Maybe next time we visit, we'll also go to the La Mesa Friday afternoon farmers market!”

“Unexpectedly discovered this hidden gem in Santee that truly impressed me. There are two stories brimming with a variety of items, from furniture to trinkets, reasonably priced. I found a few treasures for myself during my visit, and I'm already looking forward to my next trip back. Definitely worth a stop.”

“We have been going to Bad Madge for 5 years now and it is one of the best shops in San Diego! If you love vintage you need to check this store out. They have vintage furniture, clothing, glassware, tiki glasses, and plenty of new/vintage inspired items! Fantastic curation going on here and everything is beautifully arranged. We had been eyeing two chairs made by local South Park furniture maker Jose Eguez! These chairs are Caribbean Rosewood and they are perfect! Tanya helped us out with making our decision and delivered them today to our North Park condo. Tanya has impeccable customer service, her team who works at Bad Madge are also kind, welcoming, and helpful. We love these chairs! Cannot wait to have these chairs for years to come. The workmanship on these is so impressive. Before you buy from some mass produced furniture shop online try shopping local and support Bad Madge! The pricing is more than reasonable compared to pottery barn or crate and barrel. The winter South Park walkabout is coming up and let me tell you Christmas at Bad Madge is well worth checking out.”

“Thanks to Gary and family for handling this overwhelming task for me. I'm an 80-year-old widow and can't begin to explain the desperation of having an estate sales company cancel the sale one week before the date of sale. Gary came to residence as soon as he was called and took over all the details and carried off a very successful sale for me several weeks later. He was very professional, knowledgeable and personable throughout the entire process. This was EXCELLENT SERVICE from start to finish. Thanks, Gary, for a job well done and the peace of mind you gave me.”

“An art appraiser I used recommended Silver Creek to me so I thought I would give them a try. Well after the first piece was framed there I have been back a half dozen times and I'll go no where else. Lynn has been in the business of framing for 30 plus years and her input has been very helpful. She has a good eye for what works and doesn't work. Her attention to detail means a lot to me. Thanks Lynn for all the beautiful work you had done for me!”

“We have purchased 5-6 pieces from this great store for our house. They have a wonderful selection and most of the pieces are in good to excellent shape. I am a huge fan of the nightstands and end tables we purchased for a fraction of what you'd pay online for much crummier material. We also bought a cabinet for our record player that's been quite the hit. WARNING: I see this issue has been mentioned in the other reviews below. There is an employee who works here by the name of Dawn. Dawn clearly has some type of borderline personality disorder. We usually call before we go to make sure Dawn is not working before we drive down. Aside from Dawn, Everyone else has been extremely kind and helpful and seems to be aware Dawn has some outside issues that are scaring away the customers. Hopefully this issue gets fixed soon because good vintage stores are hard to come by and this is a really great store with a great selection.”

“Mission Gallery is one of the few antique stores on the west coast carrying genuine antique furniture, art and decorative art. This is not a vintage shop where you will find discounts or a warehouse with multiples. This is a store specializing in the rare, unique and beautiful. The owners (Jim and Randy) deal in authentic, one-of-a-kind pieces. They have a large selection of early American pieces but an even larger number of "Continental" (European) items and some Southeast Asian articles. You can also find a broad selection of jewelry, watches, and English and American silver and flatware. The owners might be described as eccentric, but they are passionate about antiques and generous with their time. And if you can spare the time, Randy has a story attached to every article in the store and is especially fond of sharing his experiences. You'll need to make an appointment to visit Mission Gallery, but I promise it will be well worth the effort!”

“Went to sell 4 semi-rare date coins today. I had a pretty good idea what I wanted and what they were worth to a coin dealer. I was in no hurry to sell. Had a great conversation with John and could not quite come to a deal. We ended up $200 apart on $5000 with of coins. He was fair and I could completely understand where he was coming from. He even called a colleague to tell them about my coins. I left feeling valued and respected. I was not the least bit disappointed. Though, I think he was. He really tried to make the deal work. The customer ahead of me had about $20 worth of common date stuff. John treated him the same as he treated me. That was nice to see. Next time I am in town I will bring some other coins in that I want to sell. This guy knows what he is doing and is friendly and fair.”

“10 stars. First of all the variety and quantity of items is so vast, it’s wonderful. So many things to see and prices are more than reasonable on most items. HOWEVER, the second point I want to make is about their TOP NOTCH customer service. My car wouldn’t start and one of the employees pulled his truck onto the sidewalk to jump my battery and help me figure out what was wrong. He saw someone in need and he showed up. I’m so appreciative of his help that he did not have to offer me.The customer service inside the store was wonderful too. They were not pushy but were always available to help when needed. They also held a piece of furniture for me (I paid for it) for almost a week so I could get another vehicle to pick it up. I’ll be back time and time again.”

“They had a beautiful collection of custom-made jewelry. The designs were beautiful in every variety and the prices were very reasonable. Sue Ann was very helpful for me to pick out a lovely piece.”

“Amazing dresses and even better customer service. My girlfriend was looking for a 1940’s dress and found the perfect one there at a reasonable price. They have a great selection of quality dresses from all eras!!!! We are definitely coming back soon! We also did not have an issue with the “handling” of the dresses. She was able to try on multiple “fragile” dresses with no issue.”

“A few months ago I shattered my one and only antique tea cup on accident. That experience didn't teach me to save the antique cups for special occasions or only for display- no. It taught me I need to have multiple teacups on hand and accept that accidents are just a part of life. The joy I get drinking from fancy cups every day is worth the risk. Since the accident I find myself regularly stopping in antique shops looking to build my collection.Came by this shop on a whim walking by Saturday and lucked out because it was past closing time. He happened to be open late - I immediately fell in love with his MANY teacups. This shop has a lot of antique kitchenware and home furnishings as well as a ton of tiki shirts, Tommy Bahama, ect. I circled that shop at least 6x and even though it's on the smaller side I'm confident that I didn't see everything. I wouldn't take small kids here- there's a lot that could be easily broken and some of the spots are a little narrow to navigate. It feels like an adventure. My first visit I walked out empty handed, but I returned the next day and added three new tea cups that I couldn't stop thinking about to my collection. My favorite find was one from Prussia where my father's side of the family immigrated from before WWI. The owner was so nice and knowledgeable about everything in the shop. I really enjoyed talking to him and could have stayed for hours. Prices for the tea cups were equal to other shops I've purchased from locally. I'm sure I'll be back- it's a great little shop. Only open Sat & Sun.”

“A absolutely wonderful store. So many unique and reasonably priced items several of which are hand crafted. If you are in the area (or not!) a visit to this store is a must. It's a real treat and you will not be disappointed. In fact, as was the case for me, bet you leave with a fabulous item!”
