We had a wonderful experience dining here in March — sunset view of the lake, beautiful interior, professional staff, and of course delicious food. Will definitely plan a return trip!

Amazing views. Romantic setting. Incredible food. This is one of the only multi-course tasting I have ever enjoyed. The dishes were delicious with a reasonable amount creativity and unique presentation without be ridiculously ostentatious for appearance sake. Worth the price for an amazing experience in the Sierras.

Perhaps one of the best meals and fine dining experiences we've had in years. Chef Jason Custer will earn his star in the future. While we visited during the second week of season opening, the kitchen and service team delivered an exceptional dining experience. The creative design and flavor profiles for each course were outstanding. We were delighted to find this gem of a restaurant on our travels.

Mono Inn is a must if you are in the area to enjoy a special dinner. Their Chef makes the evening magical and the staff provides excellent service. Can't wait to return this summer.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is incredible. The service is first class. The space itself is beautiful. We loved being seated right by the open fireplace. The family who own it are lovely and made us feel so welcome.

Super high quality, fresh, creative modernist cooking for a reasonable price-- was $75 for a 5 course meal. If I could take off half a point for the underspiced prime rib, I would, but otherwise 5 stars all the way. Complex food with sophisticated tastes and fresh ingredients -- the chef drives down to the farmers market in Santa Monica twice per week. No idea how he does it, seeing that the night we were there (admittedly Christmas Eve) he was short staffed and working the register and waiting tables as well as his kitchen duties) -- well done, Jason! This place would be a tough reservation in San Francisco or NYC, kind of amazing to randomly find it in Lee Vining right on Mono Lake. I would be not at all surprised to see this place earn a Michelin star as soon as they get in a visit -- so go now before word get out too widely. Yes, there really is food in Lee Vining beyond Whoa Nellie's!

Mono Inn is our favorite restaurant in the Eastern Sierra. The setting is beautiful, the view spectacular, the service excellent, and the food beautifully presented and so delicious! The menu is well balanced and intriguing. We celebrate all our special occasions there, and bring all our visitors.

We stumbled upon this restaurant on Nov 26, 2023. This restaurant has a weekly fixed 5-course tasting menu. The food presentation, the excellent explanation of how each course was prepared by Jason, the chef, the insane food that made me wanting to have broccoli cheese soup everyday if it’s as good as Jason’s, the tuna , duck and waygu beef were perfect, the freshness of the food, everything was just brilliantly done. This restaurant surprised us. We highly recommend it!

Another AMAZING dinner at Mono Inn! It's a beautiful venue, great views of Mono Lake and the sunset, really tasty cocktails, and the food is just amazing. Creative, beautiful to look at, always a new menu every week with seasonal, often local or home grown ingredients and just so dang yummy. Can't wait to get up here again to dine here. It's a bit out of the way but so worth the effort!

What a find! Mono Inn’s owner, chef and attentive staff are really aiming high and delivering a wonderful dining experience. The tasting menu is full of delightful bites, wine pairings highly enjoyable and the bartender mixed up a memorable cocktail. The view is spectacular and the history behind the inn was particularly interesting. The chef and staff were very accommodating of my wife’s dietary restrictions, not easy with a set menu. Can’t wait to go back!

I recently dined at Mono Inn and for $85 a person, the five-course menu was genuinely impressive. The chef was clearly aiming high, and it showed in every dish. While it wasn't quite a Michelin star experience, it's definitely on the path to a Michelin recommendation. Worth a visit if you appreciate an ambitious menu at a reasonable price.Would I come back? Yes, looking forward to it!

Chef Jason is totally invested in providing a creative and exquisite dining experience. He sources local ingredients when possible and travels far and wide when they are not. The Mono Inn is a hidden gastronomic gem, graced with a beautiful location in the Eastern Sierras.
