Had popped a tire off rim and needed a tow from June Lakes to the Shell. Very professional well executed tow back to Shell on a flatbed. Once there, they were able to reseat the tire and get me back on the road. Thanks guys

Dead battery at Kavanugh Ridge. Got to Shell! Amazing people. Owner checked the alternator and said it’s fine. Tried to find the right battery but I run gel in my Jeep… my son had to dive 5 hrs babying the battery… nicest people ever!!!. Left feeling confident we would make it. We had a little attitude sickness so we weren’t all there but they treated us like family. Will definitely give them our business whenever we are in that area!!!! Good people do exist!!! Didn’t charge us for checking the alternator or battery!! . Sending a tip now that we are clear headed!!!

Broke down at Conway summit and gave them a call to see if they might have the part I needed and if they had availability tow me if needed. Very nice and helpful I spoke with Cory, who said to give them a call if they could help me in any way. Later on Cory happened to be driving by me and stopped to give me a list of local repair shops and towing companies. I ended up getting my vehicle going again and appreciated the great customer relations they displayed.

Real friendly service when on camping trip had tire pressure light come on and panicked as was about to go into nowhere land and had big mileage coming. They determine there was no leak but one tire was below pressure and filled up and light was gone. No charge. Seems like a great business if passing through or reside in the area.

The folks at Shelly’s are amazing people! Family run and incredibly friendly. They towed me to their location after being stranded, then hooked me up with a car hauler to head the last 300 miles home. He even gave me a van to take our luggage across the street for the night till our family came with our tow vehicle. Great experience. I would break down there anytime!

A local family owned fuel station, auto repair, and U-Haul rental center. The owners were very friendly and helpful with our trailer rental needs. It was a cool rainy June day and Shelley took care of hooking up the trailer so we could stay dry and warm in our vehicle. He set up our return with a couple extra days and an unknown site which makes it convenient to drop off at location closest to us.

Lee Vining is a tough place to have a car issue. I do believe that the owner of this Shell will help you. But, the owner helped the locals first (his prerogative) and admitted he FORGOT about us. SNOW - the 395 is a bad way to go no matter what- and snow makes it 10X more difficult. Snow chain signs following the biggest snow storm on record (12/22-1/23) are not to be messed with. The WORST SNOW was in Lee Vining. The 395 through town is NOT plowed. Why? Who knows, but the Shell Station is happy to sell chains for $130 and put them on for $40. The CALTRANS guys who plow and fix the local roads finally told me that I would be fine WITHOUT CHAINS. AS A MATTER OF FACT, their was NO SNOW on the roads leaving Lee Vining (North), and NO CHAINS NECESSARY. The owner of the Shell Station had to know this fact as he maintains the CALTRANS trucks, sells them diesel, and sells them gravel. After waiting over an hour for the chains, I left. Sadly, there was a humble (woman) who had a handicap placard and was around 65 years old who waited after I left and perhaps paid $170 for chains she did not need. 1. I was home towned; 2. The Shell is the only game; 3. There was an epic snow storm; 4. selling or trying to sell chains when none are necessary is NOT NICE. Very clean BATHROOMS.

Best gas station and service station on the planet. They have helped so many people in the community with their vehicles. If you need a tow they are there for you.

Pretty expensive but what you would expect far from everywhere else. Was able to use the app on my phone to pay at the pump. The bathrooms were in decent condition.

Absolutely awesome service! I had a nail in my tire and dropped of my truck right when they opened. They had my tire fixed and the keys in my hand before I knew it. All the staff are extremely friendly and willing to help with anything you may need. Thank you all so much for all you do!
