I would 100% return here. Although I grew up here I drove from the Bay Area with my kitty and I forgot his meds ?. This morning, I noticed he was uncomfy and had light pink pee. ? Thank God I did not go by some of the reviews because they are absolutely incredible here. They touched base with me and honest with all the pricing.I felt like crap for being a bad fur mom and they were very empathetic and took my kitty in right away. I canceled another appointment I had bcs it’s not like ordering fast food when you visit here. I knew I needed to give them info on my vet up north and background on my kitty so they could properly assess and treat him. They were kind enough to offer some delicious coffee at their coffee bar as I waited. It was very clean and welcoming. The staff was kind, professional and thorough at explaining my fur kids health and even anticipated my needs in case his meds I had my hubby UPS overnight did not arrive by today.Thank you ?? for existing! Bagheera and I are forever grateful. ?☀️? ??

I took my cat to the emergency last night to VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center in Hawthorne and was so grateful to the front desk Coral and the Technician Eun. The Tech was prompt in getting my cat checked because I was concerned that he got sick from a medication. And, Coral was so helpful that she even gave me tips on what to do when I give medication next time to my cat. Again, so grateful for them two and they were so kind. The service here was amazing that I would 100% come back if I ever need to bring my cat again.

Talk about a nightmare. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS THERE. 5.hours awaiting a doctor's comment on our dog which had suffered from poisoning and no Vet has seen her in those 5 hours. They took her.in and no one came to give us news or let.us know how she's doing. We ended up leaving at 1h30 am going to a CVs and treating.our dog ourselves. If the poisoning had been worse she would have died. The worst ever. Unbelievable that in 2024 in the US there isn't more.control.with vet centers. These are.living beings! WTH!

I would definitely recommend this place, its an emergency vet that's open 24 hours, very clean, and all the staff especially Jennie, Carol, and Dr. Vetter were outstanding. They were very professional, compassionate, helpful, and overall made a hard situation so much easier. ⁰

Coral B, the clerk lacks compassion and appears to be an extremely sadistic vile person. I had a pet emergency (an my pet ended up dying within an hour of arrival, as she probably had a neck fracture) and I will be honest, I could not afford my entire bill. I paid a portion, and obviously saddened by the fact that, I did not have the funds of possibly upwards of 12, 000, to do everything possible for any slim chance of survival for my pet. Here comes Coral, informing me that I needed to fill out a form (a promise to pay form) and that a financial person from their office will be calling to follow up on payment. Either way, despite any dispute with paying the bill, the fact is, Coral could have presented me the information with no attitude and callousness. The fact of the issue is, if I could not pay the bill and it ended up in collections, this is not her problem. Her delivery was cold, harsh, rude, condescending, lacked a tact on her part. Of course, at some point I got visibly upset and told her off. Then at that point, I was informed that my pet was passing and to come back to the unit. Coral smirked and appeared to laugh at this turn of events. What a rude, poor excuse for matter on this earth. I do not ACCEPT her negative, demonic energy and very swiftly transmuted it back to her. The very pain my cat felt at the end of her life, Coral will experience this. Wretched, unkind soul. Worthless human being.

This was my first time at this vet and the woman at the front desk named Coral was very kind and helpful. She explained everything and made paper work an easy process. My fur baby was taken in and she was assisted very fast. Very nice welcoming safe place with wonderful veterinarians ready to assist you and your pet. I definitely recommend coming here. Thank you for your help Coral we appreciate you so much!

I NEVER leave negative reviews. This is the only place I have left a negative review for in my entire life.I would not recommend place. Go somewhere else if you can. I agree with all these one star reviews.I really hope they have replaced that female receptionist by now.

We called in first because of my uncle’s elderly cat. Unfortunately when we got to him, he had already left us (he was 17 years old). From the start the team at VCA Lawndale were warm and professional (despite it being late at night). Lavern and Dennis were able to balance being compassionate with providing the necessary information we needed and guide us through our options. We wanted to give him the proper send off he deserved and thanks to your team at we achieved that. Thank you Lavern, Dennis and the rest of the VCA Lawnsdale team!

The vet is only here to make money. They don’t really care about animals. Their costs are excessive. I spent over $2k for my cats 6hr stay and they quoted $5k for 24hrs.

Took my 17 year old cat in without an appointment. He was ready. They took him right in. Every person that we were in contact with, phone and in person, showed so much respect and compassion. Had a rough weekend over holiday. Lots of emotions as I knew we had to go after holiday. I feel much better having gone to VCA than I think I would have felt going anywhere else. And that makes a huge difference for me. Thank you VCA.

VCA is amazing. My dog 16 y/o Buddy passed away and they helped me get through one of the worst experiences in my life even though it seemed impossible. For anyone who is a real dog lover, you know what it means to say I love my dog more than I love most people..Dennis was the first person I spoke to and he was extremely helpful and easy to talk to regarding cremation for my dog. Janelle was very knowledgeable, gave me insight and handled my concerns with ease. There was another lady at the front desk I can't remember her name but she was so nice and helped me alot too..I definitely recommend VCA to anyone for their pets needs!!Thanks VCA!!!

Tried taking my cat to the Cerritos location for a split paw pad and he was just diagnosed with pillow foot about 2 months ago. Unfortunately, they were too busy and couldn't see him. They gave me a list of other vets that could possibly help us. We called a few and this was the only location that told me to just bring him in. They got him in quickly and had a few other more urgent cases. So, we knew it was going to be awhile. We started to hunker down for the wait when they told us we could go home, just listen for our phone. Maybe an hour later they called us with their recommendations. In the end, they bandaged his foot, put a cone on him, and recommended we follow up with our primary vet and potentially a dermatologist that would have more knowledge about his condition. Dr. Vetter decided since it wasn't much they could do, they wouldn't charge us anything. No examination fee, no charge for the cone, or the time, no matter how little. They even put a little heart on his bandage, it was so cute. Would recommend this place to anyone who has an emergency with their pets and can't get into their regular vet. Thank you so much for taking amazing care of my fur baby!

This was my first time needing an emergency vet after my pup got a piece of a stick lodged in her soft palette. I have to say that my VCA experience was great: the staff was so kind, the wait time was basically non-existent, and I could tell how much everyone working there loved animals. My pup got SO many pets and I was having to coax her into leaving all her newfound friends. :D Thank you all for helping Lily so quickly.

About 2 weeks ago we took our cat in for an emergency visit. The treatment included a blood panel, x-rays, and reading of the x-rays. The insurance we have requires payment up front and a submission for reimbursement. The charge for the treatment was outrageous, $1680. We were reimbursed $480 and the rest was paid out of pocket. We called to share our concerns about their costs, and if a reimbursement for a portion was possible. The answer was no. The one good thing about the experience was a follow up by the office manager…that was it. I asked if the fees they charge are consistent with other vets, and the office manager stated yes. It didn’t take me long to figure out they are about $700 more than a nearby hospital. If you want to avoid paying too much for treatment, make sure you don’t visit this location. Any vet in the area is more than willing to share their costs before you take your pet in. Even though this was an emergency, their fees are OUTRAGEOUS!! If the owners of the hospital really care about changing my perception and their review, reach out to me so we can discuss my concerns.
