So far I’ve had great experiences with Steven at Torres Automotive. I’ve taken in my VW and my Mazda. I appreciate that Steven is great at communicating and explaining the issue and providing an accurate estimate ahead of time. This is now my go to shop!

You can’t find a more honest mechanic! Prices are fair and I never leave feeling as if I’ve been upsold (which is so often the case at other mechanics). Torres has all my trust and i couldn’t recommend him more

I had a great experience with Steven. He was great at discussing what I was hoping to do for my VW Touareg over the phone, he provided an estimate, updated with calls to let me know what he had found during the services, and finished right when he said he would be done. Not only did the price come right in at the estimate, but Steven also took the time to walk me through any work that might need to be done in the future, explained what he did and what he found, and was a really nice guy in the process. I just found my new mechanic! Thanks again for the help!

My exhaust manifold was bad the appointment check engine light was on and my car was backfiring no power so fuel economy you can imagine it was through the roof or should I say through the ground.through the groundnut in existence. Any rate I put the SOS out on another social media platform and Steven with Taurus t o r r e s automotive responded and after communications quoted me more than fair price for a no at/Steven responded and after communication he called me a more than fair price for parts and labor brought in today and it's quiet I don't know if any of you familiar with a bad exhaust but your car sounds as if the catalytic converter has been stolen and that's not the case.So again I would recommend Taurus t o r r e s ask for Steven great job fair price and again you no longer hear me coming I'm coming for you Dallas. Again just FYI when your catalytic converter is gone or rather your exhaust manifold is bad it's going to sound like you're missing your catalytic converter so I would suggest getting both checked again thank you Steventhencoverdone 2 hours and you no longer hear me coming

Well about wrapped up about to head to Texas, however one small big problem my exhaust manifest on my car was bad essentially I had no power it sounded like my catalytic converter was stolen but it wasn't and my car was not because the air coming in through the exhaust manifold. At any rate I took this to one mechanic and you couldn't fix it cuz Napa gave me the wrong part so fast forward I reached out to Yelp and a mechanic / Jonathan by the name of Steven with Taurus automotive here in Lawndale right down the street from Tam's burgers and the 405 on the west side of Inglewood just before in and out on Inglewood and Redondo Beach boulevard. I put out the SOS explain what I needed Steven got back to me with a magnificent quote including parts and labor I'll even put it out there under .423.65 for everything now the other mechanic was trying to charge me over $600 I said oh no I get to pick somewhere else. And guess what I did brought in this morning I spoke to Steve yesterday we were in communication throughout Yelp thank you Yelp and he told me the price asked if I get down here either yesterday or this morning I was down here bright and early like you said 10:00 and he was done in 2 hours you no longer hear me coming because when the exhaust manifest is bad it sounds like you're catalytic converters been stolen, or you can't sneak up anybody because it's so loud well guess what I can sneak up on you now. And Dallas TEXAS here I come.What I recommend Taurus automotive in Steven hell yeah great work fair price more than fair in my opinion and usually you get what you pay for that's why I feel it went above and beyond thank you Steven I'm no longer burning gas like crazy cuz that what happened when you're exhaust manifested that also.

Steven has excellent customer service (he gets back to your calls quickly, explains things clearly, and tells you the truth about your car and what options you have). He has an appointment only system so he doesn't create a backlog of cars, but schedules people so that your car can be done within the most minimal time. He is extremely organized, fast, and professional in how he does his repairs. Also, his prices are very resonable. I would give him 100 stars out of the five I can give!!

I had a very good experience getting service with Torres Automotive after I had a transmission failure on a manual Scion XB. Steven was able to quickly source a salvaged transmission with far fewer miles than the one that gave out, and got me on the road in a couple days for a reasonable cost (even more so by with cash). Roughly a half year later it shifts fine and I'm glad his shop was local and I could support an independent shop.

I had a great experience today. Steven was very responsive and did a great job installing a catalytic converter theft guard that I had purchased. His rates were reasonable and he got the job done quickly and as a friendly guy. I highly recommend this business.

Dependable, knowledgeable, and thorough. These are the things that I look for from mechanics and I received that and beyond at this establishment. My Scion was showing signs of breaking down and Torres Automotive got me in right away and walked me through all of the issues that my car was experiencing. What I liked about my experience was the communication. The response to my inquiries were quick and every issue that was discovered was explained in detail. I never once felt intimidated or overwhelmed with information (which can happen when you are a woman walking into a male owned mechanic shop).The service itself was prompt and I was able to pick up my car very soon after. My Scion now drives amazingly better than it did before and I will continue to bring my business and spread the word about Torres Automotive.

So first off, straight forward, car assesment. Brakes, 100k gig, tire rotate. Overall excellent job! Made my apt. Showed up. Complete brake job, spark plugs, engine flush. Done before rush hour.Excellent shop. Cheers ?
