Had been excited to see a brick and mortar version open locally. However, dropped by after a yoga class and the experience was scary and felt unsafe - the store is not open and welcoming but very shuttered, and they seemed to discourage browsing or chatting with the shop assistants, as when I did a security agent came and stood next to me. I felt the vibe there might be a high rate of burglaries and started to feel unsafe spending time there. It is not the type of atmosphere and level of family-friendly safety and environment I typically associate with the other businesses in Marin Country Mart

Do not sell to them. They keep 40% commission and the commission itself is going to be an insult. Better to keep your items or sell elsewhere. Big mistake

men’s section has some steals. got a brand new Demna era VETEMENTS jacket for $480 after tax, can sell it now for $2000+. lots of BNWT items for men at huge discount, can’t speak on women’s.

Left a diamond ring for consignment, the store just closed without saying why or how, nobody’s answering, nobody knows where the ring is. Customer service is giving me a different explanation every time I try to contact them. They keep saying they’ll email me and let me know what happened and I keep not receiving any information…

Staff are always friendly and helpful. I've noticed that the store tends to carry mostly high end items (e.g., Chanel and Gucci). For those looking for a deal, TRR online has much more to offer.

Deceptive listing/false advertising. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Buyer beware and make sure you read all of the horrible reviews online and on the Better Business Bureau (I wish I did) before purchasing anything from The RealReal.

Absolutely horrible experience. Sold our clothing for less than 10% of retail and far far below the “in store estimate”. These people are either inept or crooks (or both).Even worse, they got our information wrong so we weren’t able to check the status until most of the clothing had been sold. As soon as we could log in we pulled every live listing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

I had items stolen from my home . I was hacked and had identity compromised. The real real employee was helpful the first night and told me that the person that had possession of my stolen items did a van pick up and they had all the information I needed to find out who it was for my safety. They told me to file a police report and I did . After that , real real employees told the police multiple stories and i am still exposed to danger of the person / persons that harmed me . I'm also out of a sentimental item that I can not afford to replace . Their corporate counsel was demeaning and awful and seemed to care less about my safety!

I used to buy amazing clothing and wallets on their website. But for the past two years the descriptions and the sizes are inaccurate. Even worse, They do not clean the clothes they resell. This year they have sent out two items to me that were described as pristine but that have had 1/4" holes or tears in them. When I asked them to refund my shipping fees they only waived the return fee. Once a Gucci wallet turned out to be a fake. Another time a "pristine" wallet was worn at both corners. As a one of their original clients no longer trust them. The Larkspur store is nice but once a $2000 return that I made in person took almost a month to be credited back to my credit card. They are ruining what was once a fun place and reliable place to shop.
