30 El Portal, Sausalito“I went to the west coast for the first time in my life and this is the hotel my wife and I chose to stay at. After a rough 9 hour flight followed by a 2 hour drive, I arrived at my room with the most beautiful view I’ve ever seen in a hotel.Nearby activities: Pay attention to the ferry time schedules to make sure you can get back from San Francisco. Otherwise, you may be stuck with a taxi/uber”

555 Redwood Hwy, Mill Valley“Beautiful, just beautiful hotel with the most attentive, responsive and respectful staff. Gorgeous location, great views of bay. Rooms are thoughtfully designed and decorated, cleanliness at its peak with sanitizing station installed everywhere. Rooms are not regular clean, but top notch clean (yes, I checked as I have an all surface touching toddler ?). Breakfast also has great selection of items and multiple coffee choices. And the highlight, wine and cheese hour and evening cookies, definitely goes with the views giving a fancy and cozy experience.Definitely recommend, and will stay surely in my next mill valley visit.”
“Stayed for two nights. Great location that is walking distance to most of the key places to visit in San Francisco. Property is well maintained, rooms are great with a comfy bed and convenient kitchenette. Will definitely be back!”
“Nice welcome, friendly staff and motel even offers a small free breakfast. Building is somewhat hidden in bushes and trees. Rooms not really modern but functionally furnished. Perfect for a night traveling from north to south or vice versa.”

215 Alameda del Prado, Novato“Give Judy a raise!! Extremely helpful, patient and super attentive. Did not take even a minute before she impressed us with her wonderful customer oriented skills. The hotel itself is well maintained and great for short term stays. The breakfast was simple but plentiful. Definitely get the cookies in the evening from the front desk.”
“One of the best stays at a hotel I've ever had. All 3 shifts of the front desk were top notch. I have never had front desk agents treat my friend and I the way they did. 3 separate times we came back in the evening and there were no 1st level parking spots, all 3 times the 2nd shift front desk guy came out and moved HIS car so we could park, dude even walked up to the 2nd level garage and stopped me just to let me have his spot. These guys need raises ! Great location, great price, and clean.”

2026 Lombard St, San Francisco“Had to book this motel last minute and the gentleman running the desk was extremely helpful. At one point during my stay I forgot to put my parking pass in the window, and he prevented my car from getting towed just because he remembered what car I came in. The price was very reasonable for something so central, especially since off-street parking was free. The building might seem a bit dated, but the room was immaculately clean and the beds comfortable. A good value stay in the city!”

“Awesome spot on Sutter street with a great selection of beers on tap but more impressed with their bourbon selection. Mellow Corn for the win! Service was fast and friendly we got there late so they had run out of a lot of items but the pulled pork was great! Lots of seating inside and heaters and fire pits outside made it nice. We will be back again!”

1 Marine Way, Stinson Beach“I had a sweet weekend getaway! I can't stop thinking about unit number 5 and those breathtaking views. I'm already counting down the days until I can come back. The hospitality is exceptional. They even allow you to use beach chairs for free and provide complimentary beach towels. You absolutely have to check out the enchanting courtyard on the property. It's a hidden gem with the most beautiful hummingbirds you've ever seen. The rooms were comfortable, beautiful, and spotless. With a short walk to the beach. I'm especially grateful for the owner of this unit. She's incredibly kind, respectful, and goes above and beyond to ensure that your stay is comfortable and unforgettable. If there's any issue with the room, they are more than willing to accommodate and fix it for you. Her customer service is exceptional. I cannot wait to make this a family favorite for me and my family to return again.
Rooms: Clean, beautiful and comfortable.
Nearby activities: Hiking and city vibes
Safety: I feel so safe and secure. Very quiet sleepy beach town.
Walkability: 5 minute walk to the beach
Food & drinks: Nearby eateries and shops that are one of a kind.
Noteworthy details: Beautiful views and a lovely courtyard.”
“Pristine, elegant hotel with excellent service at an unbeatable location. The Presidio is a National Park so federal police patrols this area as apposed to city police. Self parking is easy ($13 per night behind the hotel). There are a million things to do at the Presidio and there’s a free Presidio Go shuttle that takes you downtown and back. The rooms are modern and large compared to others in SF. Continental breakfast (no eggs or bacon) is included. There is no bar which didn’t matter to me. There is gym access at the Presidio YMCA (5 minute walk). The staff is very nice and service is excellent especially since the hotel is owned by the Presidio Trust, not a big hotel chain (Hyatt/Marriott,etc). Pricey but worth it especially if you are traveling with kids. We felt safe and taken care of.”

Fire Road, 100 Old Railroad Grade, Mill Valley“it in is absolutely stunning. It’s so well-maintained by a group of volunteers every single day. It has five rooms in the actual inn and five cabins scattered around. You get amazing, beautiful views of the bay and mountain while staying at this inn. The service here is amazing with self-serve almost everything they do have amazing, pancake breakfast sometimes.Rooms: Five cabins and five roomsWalkability: There’s a hiking trail up to the end and amazing trails all around it”
“First time at this hotel, but was impressed with accommodations and service of the staff. We have another place to stay when up in the city.Rooms: Room was nice with a pseudo industrial vibe.Walkability: Close to Fisherman's Wharf, this hotel has great access to local spots. Lots of good walking up the embarcadero.”
“We had a wonderful weekend staying at the Mill Valley Inn! It's in the heart of Mill Valley's historic downtown area, walkable to restaurants, boutiques, the city park, and hiking trails. We booked a queen room with a balcony and the balcony views of Mill Valley were beautiful. The mattress wasn't the best, but with the fire going, the open balcony, the bathtub filled with hot water and bath salts, it was easy to overlook. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. The included breakfast was a highlight and the included wine and cheese hour every day was lovely. We'd love to stay here again!”

900 North Point St # D100, San Francisco“Amazing hotel! Much better area than the hotels downtown and ideal location for activities since it’s in Ghirardelli square and near fisherman’s wharf. The manager, Dan, is amazing and so helpful!”
“They accommodated our big family group ( incl 2 dogs) after 8pm with no reservations, and bent over backwards to get us rooms for the next night when they anticipated being completely full. All amenities and services were top-notch!
The breakfast is served in a former restaurant, with lots of comfy seating.
You will love this place.”

If there is capacity, you can park your car for free. Maybe the parking lot can be full, if the hotel is fully booked,
We felt very safe. Of course the rooms could be more modern, but for that price it is absolutely fair!”

“Oh. My. God. You would not believe my time at Thee Battery. It was Thee Best. Never in my life have I had such a luxurious time in such elegant rooms. Ever since I my mother and father walked out on me in 2008, every day has been a struggle to even get out of bed. After having a mug of the hot chocolate I have my raison d'etre again. Every sip reminded me that one day, my parents could still walk back through that door again. To Tomorrow! To The Battery.** would have given 5 stars if my parents ever returned”
“This is an older property, but it is quite well maintained. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and offered excellent suggestions for touring. The bar offers a very good menu with a large variety of eats from snacks to meals - everything we tried was good. This is a great place with easy access to the Ferry to get a quick ride straight to the San Francisco waterfront. Access to main highways is easy as well. The main annoyance we had was having to pay for parking for an open, unsecured parking lot (this is a money grab by the hotel) While we would consider staying here again, the irritation of the pay for parking would be enough to make us look elsewhere.”
