Ok nothing fancy. Front desk staff complained about asking for a $0.17 cent bottle of water. Said..."It's our policy to only give a bottle upon checking in." She did give me another bottle but gaslight me " ok just this time." Um...$200 and I can not get an extra bottle of water. Location is far from food options in the later evening.
Food & drinks: Not really a lot of choices to eat in the area after 8pm. Lobby"bistro" closes service at 9:30.

I used to come here all the time super disappointed with the staff in the front desk I would not recommend it. They are not knowledgeable. Every time I call and try to speak to a manager. He’s never there. They say they’re gonna call me back the next day, never call me back. this place needs experienced service people

This is an older property, but it is quite well maintained. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and offered excellent suggestions for touring. The bar offers a very good menu with a large variety of eats from snacks to meals - everything we tried was good. This is a great place with easy access to the Ferry to get a quick ride straight to the San Francisco waterfront. Access to main highways is easy as well. The main annoyance we had was having to pay for parking for an open, unsecured parking lot (this is a money grab by the hotel) While we would consider staying here again, the irritation of the pay for parking would be enough to make us look elsewhere.

We won’t be Back here ever again .They pre bill your credit card for “incidentals” immediately after check in .
We were charged $240 before even using any additional items.
A huge hassle trying to get our credit card charges turned around .
Unless you are looking forward to these issues look for another hotel!
Food & drinks: Food nearby and shopping.

Great hotel with even better staff. Had a couple of minor problems (it happens) with our room. All of the staff were great at sorting things out.
Maria and Justin went above and behind to make sure everything was sorted out. All staff should be this great.
I’m sure management doesn’t know how lucky they are to have these dedicated individuals working for them.

Surprisingly great service at the front desk, and quick delivery of pillows we asked for. They give you waters at arrival and asked if we have a preference for which floor to stay on (1st, 2nd or 3rd) Housekeeping was loud in the morning, using walkie talkies to talk to each other and then announcing really loud that they are coming in. It wasn’t for our room.
No breakfast included
Bed was on the firm side but lofty
Pillows- flat with no support but can ask for foam pillows which were a little better
Room very clean and dust free
Glasses had watermarks so didn’t use
Small coffee machine with pods- didn’t use
Shower didn’t get hot but stayed warm
AC was fine- had a low buzz but not loud
Area is quiet and 5 minute walk from a small shopping center with food and shopping
Walkability: 5 minutes to restaurants

Pull out couch bed should not be advertised as such. Mattress was so old and disintegrating it could not be slept on. Everything else was fine but for the rates charged and this being in Marin was it’s ridiculous not to replace the mattresses or at the very least stop advertising it as a room with a pull out couch. No one in the right mind can sleep on that mattress.
Rooms: See comment above.

Very comfortable, staff was friendly and accommodating. Convenient access to small mall across the street with shops and eateries. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

The staff are friendly and accommodating. The room was very airy, and the pool was refreshing. No free breakfast. The property is very large and able to support conferences. The only drawback is no electric car plug-in accommodations. The ferry boat to San Francisco is a walkable distance.

This review is mainly in regards to the service we received while staying at this hotel. My husband and I live in Southern California, And once or twice a year, we head up this direction to enjoy the beautiful area. It’s certainly worth the easy 6ish hour drive . Actually, we usually stay in Monterey but we decided to go a little further this year. This particular trip was for my 32nd birthday and mine and my husband’s ninth wedding anniversary. I can say right out of the gate, I absolutely adored the area this hotel is located in, also, I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel. It was a very pleasant place, and I hope to stay again sometime. I hate to be negative in any way however we weren’t treated very well by the Hotel staff. The ladies at the front desk were rude upon check-in and continued to be so throughout our stay. We brought our dog with us who is a very well behaved Border collie mix. I knew that they charged for the dog as I had already checked into that prior to our arrival, no problem there. But what I did not see on the website when I checked The pet policy was that dogs were only allowed on the first floor. This did not bother us whatsoever and we had great access to the exit to take our dog to the bathroom. Although it would’ve been nice to have another floor so we had a balcony. I’ve stayed at many hotels with our dog and we never had to be on the first floor. The charge for the dog was $150 for the cleaning fee plus $20 a day, it seemed a bit excessive, but that is all right because we love traveling with our dog. I would like to add that my husband is a pilot who only exclusively uses Marriott products, He has Ambassador Elite status With Marriott. We used to exclusively use Hilton, but have now switched to Marriott and found that most of them are actually superior to the Hilton Properties. We were extremely disappointed in the service we received, We always try to be polite and nice people, but we felt we were being taken advantage of and treated like second-class citizens. My husband made a joke to the Woman at the front desk upon our arrival and she did not appreciate it whatsoever, and I think it started off very negatively. The joke was completely innocent regarding our dog being our “child”. The only person who treated us with any respect was a gentleman who I believe was the operations manager. I truly hope they do something about the ladies who work the front desk as they were quite a turn off and made us very uncomfortable. My husband has had mostly very positive experience as at Marriott all over the world. This was the first time he’s been disappointed.
