Yes, the first time walking in Pharmacy may be intimidating towards a new skater. But as you visit more and more you can tell that there is no judgment and nothing to be intimidated about. It is all a friendly and chill atmosphere and the employees are very helpful to fulfill your questions and needs! And might I add there is plenty of selection to purchase in such a small store. Pricing could be high but you get what you pay for... HIGH QUALITY!

horrible selection, lack of inventory, and overpriced. Walk in with 70$ and couldn't even get a deck. it's not the pharmacy I remember as a kid. never going back. recommend ordering your skateboard needs online from other places.

Down to earth, old school skate shop. If you are looking for an immersive experience into the roots of skating, this is the place to go. Whether you are a veteran skater or just getting your feet wet. Go talk to one of the experienced guys at Pharmacy Ride Shop.

I've shopped at both Lancaster and Palmdale Pharmacy Boardshop and if I had to recommend for a new skater out here if they are intent on going into a skateshop go to the Palmdale shop instead. They havent mixed anything up on me and tried to make sure the items they pulled were what I wanted. Jose seems to always be there and he'll genuinely help to keep the costs down if you ask him. Jose and Colton were quick to resolve my issues I had in Lancaster where the staff there sold me parts that did not match what I requested. Colton made a mistake and was very polite to correct it once i brought it to his attention. To be fair to Lancaster I did not give them a chance to remedy my issues I had with them although I did give them another chance when looking for my second skateboard there which led to getting the wrong parts. In hindsight, they probably would have helped me all the same. The staff at both locations are friendly and try to be helpful. Some things I took away from my experience at the two pharmacy shops: 1) pharmacy has a stupid no refund policy even on new, unused, still in original packing items. 2) deck prices are okay, they have cheaper decks but I've noticed about a $10 or more price difference than online skateshops. That could be due to the overhead cost differences. If you're too impatient to wait for one online paying the extra $10 to have it then and there while also looking at it before you buy might be worth it. 3) trucks are ridiculously overpriced, straight up. $10 difference sure, but $30!? I just picked up a pair of indy hollows 139 that were $39.95 each which is about $80 for a pair. Online prices range from $55 under. Hell these ended up costing as much as the higher premium indy titaniums. You'll save more buying trucks online. 4) bearings seem at the right price point, classic bones reds are a few dollars cheaper than amazon. 5) wheels are also a minor price difference within a $3 margin. 6) if you want to save money go for their pharmacy completes instead and just pay extra for a deck you like. Just keep in mind your getting the most basic cheapest indys (price wise still expensive) and generic pharm wheels/bearings. My first pharm complete with a krooked deck ran $165 after tax. If i went with a generic pharm board it would have been around $140ish. 7) If you go custom, you will pay significantly more especially when it comes to trucks, even standards are overpriced. Make sure to do your research ahead of time and price compare so you aren't shocked that your spending over $200. I'm giving pharmacy three stars because of the overpriced trucks and lack of other truck models. They seem to stock mostly up on cheapest up to maybe one other model of a truck brand. Also they have limited stocks of 7.75. Lastly their refund policy is atrocious. This is a okay boardshop, frankly its the only dedicated boardshop we have in this area. There is a zumies and tillys, they do have skateboards, if you had to choose between them and walmart id say go for it. Not sure on their return policy if they do refunds then that might be a reason to choose them over pharmacy. Also unsure if their pricing so maybe they might win there too.

My daughter loves this place she goes there every Friday. Even when we go to the mall she "NEEDS" to go the the boardshop in the mall. She loves skating because it helps her take her mind off things. The employees are also very nice and chill.
